Feature Request: Set latest Podcast Episode as Alarm in Clock

Would love it if the Podcasts App integrated with Alarm Clock. Would like to wake up to a podcast instead of static music/tone. I imagine this would only entail selecting the podcast within the podcast app which would copy the latest "episode" of the selected podcast to a specific file name such as "Podcast Alarm.*". Then that file could be selected as the Alarm tune.

Seriously! This would be so great. I tried to manually add podcasts from my computer to the music folder as songs, but that didn't work.

ITunes isn't picking up my latest podcast episode, though it's showing up in the RSS feed.

I had to delete the latest blog post on my site with my most recent podcast episode because something was wrong with the audio file. I deleted the entire blog post and the episode disappeared from iTunes--all good so far.
When I re-posted everything (blog post title was slightly different, but the filename for the linked .mp3 file was the same), it never showed up in iTunes (24 hours later at the moment), although it's showing up in the RSS feed.
Any ideas why the new episode isn't showing up in iTunes?

The latest episode does not have have an 'enclosure' tag containing the URL of an mp3 or other media file, so iTunes will not show the episode.
There is an mp3 file linked to in the web page, and in the 'content:encoded' tag, which iTunes does not read, but though the other episodes are OK you have evidently missed out a step in WordPress.I can't advise on that, but whatever you did before to get the file into the feed is what you need to do here.

Latest Podcast Episode Isn't Showing

My latest podcast on October 9, 2014 titled, "Some Limits Aren't Real" isn't showing in iTunes.

The repost of 'Some LImits aren't Real' appears when subscribing but not in the Store. It was posted only today, in fact only 33 minutes ago, so you wouldn't expect to see it in the Store yet. It can usually take 1-2 days for a new episode to appear in the Store.

Feature Request: Setting App page title to something other than "Eloqua 10"

Hello everyone,
Long-time lurker, first-time poster. As someone who has been using Eloqua for over 3 years, when working in the application, I will usually end up with upwards of half-a-dozen tabs open in Firefox, all of which say "Eloqua 10". Because of this, I'll usually try to strategically organize my tabs, but often times I end up having to click through multiple tabs to find the one I'm looking for, which can sometimes lead to Firefox freezing. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.
So to alleviate this, I'd like to make the following feature request: Can we have the tabs/windows named by Asset Type & Asset Name? Perhaps in the following Format:
[Asset Type]: [Asset Name] - Eloqua 10
Note how I have "Eloqua 10" at the end of the string. An example of a title would be: "Campaigns: Nurture_Campaign_1 - Eloqua 10"
Could this please be implemented?

Cannot download latest podcast episodes

I have subscribed to a couple of BBC podcasts and since then a couple of episodes have been downloaded, but I cannot get the latest episodes. They are greyed out and if I click that little i it tells me there was a problem downloading as I don't have sufficient access privileges.
My iTunes music is on a server volume, but I DO have read and write permissions on the podcast and all sub directories. iTunes runs correctly and it did manage to get the first few episodes, so everything was ok then. I've changed nothing, is there a problem with the latest versions of iTunes?
What can cause iTunes to be unable to download podcasts in this way? Anyone?

But still a bit puzzled.
Since I appeared to OWN the Podcast (and sub)folders, that looked correct and indeed I could create new folders within them, so I had to have write permission. However, I am a member of the Group which is set for ALL the iTunes files and folders but the Podcast folders did not have Group write. This should have been ok as I apparently owned the Podcast folder, but it looks like it was all a bit confused with my server account (with the same name) and so needed the Group write permissions (which should have all been set to write, but sometimes new stuff doesn't get that set automatically).
Anyway, the net result is that with Group write permissions the Podcasts now are downloading. I am just not 100% sure why I needed Group write, but I think it's down to OSX Server's Open Directory flakiness.
If anyone else has such downloading problems, study the Podcast folders' permissions as the problem is almost certainly there and probably not obvious at first glance.

Latest podcast episodes dont show up in iTunes

Usually when updating a podcast iTunes will scan the RSS feed, add the latest episode to the list and then download it.
Now when a new episode of a podcast is available, it wont show up on the list until it has been completely downloaded. I can see in the box at the top of iTunes that it's downloading, and it tells me what episode it's downloading, but wont show up on the list unless I quit and restart iTunes during the download process.
There are no error messages and no ! next to the feeds. Is this happening to anyone else? I haven't made any changes, it's just started happening.

Where are all the latest podcast episode?

I'm not sure if this is just me or a universal problem. I'm trying to see if anyone else noticed this:
Since December 24, I don't see any new episodes of any podcasts in the iTunes store. The only new episodes I am getting are the ones I subscribe to. I am browsing the podcasts in the iTunes store and can't find anything posted after 12/24/08. What's going on?

I feel like I'm having a discussion with myself ... but I just had to find out if this was not just a problem on my computer, so I went to the Apple store today. No one there was aware of any problem with the iTunes store so we used one of the systems to start up iTunes and sure enough, we could not find any podcast dated after December 24, 2008. Only if you subscribe to the podcast will you be able to get the latest episodes.
I hope someone will fix this when Apple comes back from the holiday break.

Feature Request: Setting to NOT check mail on launch

Using the Mail on the iPhone virtually locks up the device until it is done checking mail. In Settings, you can set Mail to check Manually. However, every time I launch the Mail application, it checks mail automatically.
I'd like to request a setting for the Mail application to NOT to check for new mail upon launch, making it truly manual only.
If this were done, I would use the iPhone for email more regularly. For example, if I need to send a quick email, I have to wait until Mail checks for new emails before it will allow me to type a new email. This can take several minutes.

Latest Podcast Episode Not Available

Episode 7 of my podcast isn't showing in iTunes. I published it earlier today and it appeared briefly and then disappeared.

Feature request : get latest room function in server to server apis

Hello,
I would like to be able to get the latest created room, check the number of users in there already, and if there is still place send the user there or create a new one.
At the moment I can achieve this by either
1.make a listRooms call and then a getroominfo for the latest room, but if the number of rooms become large this may slow down the app.
2. I could also store the room stats on my server.
What do you think?

Feature Request: Set a hosted gateway page title using the IDK

Hi Folks,
I'd like to have a method added to the IPortletResponse interface called setPageTitle(String pageTitle) that would set the browser title bar to the String pageTitle.
This is extremely important for SEO and for usability (because if you minimize a bunch of browser windows pointing to hosted gatway pages, they all say "Gateway" and you have no idea what the bleep is actually in those windows).

Feature request: make podcast "Keep" preferences specific to each podcast

I subscribe to many different podcasts of different types for various reasons. With some podcasts I want to retain all episodes in an archive. With others I want to delete them as soon as I have listened to them. With others I might want to keep them for a week or month and then delete them even if I have not gotten around to listening to them. It would be very nice to be able to set a default preference for how long to keep podcasts in the iTunes preferences, just as can be done now, but to be able to override that default preference on a podcast by podcast basis. Please give us this ability to make podcast-specific decisions on how long to keep individual episodes. Thank you for considering this request.

How Do I Keep Podcast Episodes in iTunes 11.1.x With the "Auto-remove played episodes" Option Set?

In the previous version of iTunes, I set the podcasts to auto-delete played episodes. If I wanted to keep a specific episode of a podcast, I could right-click that episode and choose to “keep this episode/do not remove this episode”.
Is there a way to do this in iTunes 11.1.x? The option under the right-click menu seems to have disappeared. Is there some kind of new logic to this? Or is the option to keep certain episodes and automatically remove everything else gone?
Basically, I want the behaviour described under Hold on to your hits.

What really cheeses me off here is that Apple isn't allowing users enough customization. With each update of iTunes (and the OS and iOS) we're forced to give up something that worked well for the way we want to use the app and make do with fewer (and lamer) options. If Apple keeps this up, they're going to start losing customers fast. I mean if this isn't fixed soon, I'm pretty sure I'm going to give up on iTunes, and then I'll probably go ahead and get a Galaxy when I need to replace my iPhone.
What I don't understand about how they won't let users delete the list of available podcasts now is why? How is this making it a better program? I can understand that not all users are capable enough to right-click on a feed and select "Show all available episodes", so I can see why they want the complete list to be the default (and, surprise, it already was). But to not give users the option to delete that list? It's inconsiderate because it makes navigating feeds with a large back catalogue really frustrating. I'm flabbergasted that no one at Apple considered all the podcast feeds that keep hundreds of episodes available when they removed this feature. It smacks of rank incompetence.
What improvement were they trying to make here anyway? There was nothing wrong to my mind about how podcasts were managed in previous versions. Whatever improvement they were trying to make here, they should have realized that many users would at least want the option to keep things the way they were.
And reverting to a previous version is no solution. I can't sync my iPhone with the new iOS without this update, and (while I do have some issues--specifically how you can't play podcasts in the Music app anymore) I do like the new iOS.
