Feature Request: TGA image previews in Creative Cloud Files

Feature Request: TGA image previews in Creative Cloud Files (app & web) when browsing files in web and iOS App

On a related topic, here's another Illustrator file with fonts displaying incorrectly, but this time it also has problems with the download links - the options for PNG, JPG and PDF do not appear at all.
https://creative.adobe.com/file/2d6d788d-01e4-488d-90b8-46823f2017e2
This is all very strange, because they did appear in a previous version of this very same file:
https://creative.adobe.com/file/dae50071-9596-44ce-b525-3f52663f8cca
Could it perhaps be related to the strange font behaviour?

  • Zoom in to indesign preview in creative cloud

am i missing the zoom buttons?
how will i be able to show a client a preview on creative cloud, and get them to comment without them being able to read the text?
if i upload an indesign page layout, and share it with someone, they cant read small text without downloading the document (thus requiring indesign) is this correct?

    Hi Dave!
I am a Webdesigner and would love to show clients a full rez crisp view of there sites. The canvas is generally very large for GUI mockups. A 100% zoom would be soooo helpful. In fact I cant currently show my designs through creative cloud for this reason. I totally agree with aurelien-foutoyet This would be an amaizing feature for web and typography designers.
    Thanks,
    Jared

  • Why do my Creative Cloud files look blurry and bad when previewing them?

PDF, PNGs, AI and PSDs all look like very poor quality, compressed JPGs when viewing on Creative Cloud files website or in the iPad app. You can even see the low quality JPG-like compression artifacts all over the files. Nothing is sharp. Would really like to be able to use the cloud to preview files to clients, but the quality is just not usable. Would like to know if others experience this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The thumbnails are fine. The problems start when I click on the thumbnails to view the photos. See my long comment above. Thank you.
I meant the mismatch between thumbnails and photos, sorry. In addition to broken rotation tags, that Winston Churchill pointed out, the database entries with the applied adjustments may have become corrupted. Repairing the database will at least ensure, that the database entries are correct.
Are you shooting RAW?  Then consider tor reprocess your RAW files. The Help recommends that, if your photos have been edited in another app, for example iPhoto.
    Reprocess imported RAW files
If you import RAW files that were already processed by another app, such as Aperture, the RAW processing of the photos might be out of date. If you’re happy with how a RAW photo looks, you can leave it as is, or you can choose to reprocess the RAW file with the most recent version of Apple’s RAW processing software. Note that your photos may look different after reprocessing, and you cannot undo this change.
Double-click a photo to open it, click Edit in the toolbar, then choose Image > Reprocess RAW.

  • Does Creative Cloud Files distort your images? (compressed/squeezed)

Is anyone else having an issue with uploading files to the Creative Cloud?
Everytime I share a file with a client or colleague it distorts, compresses or squeezes the file (and appears to be skinny).
Then I refresh and it's normal.
I have viewed through: Safari, Firefox and Chrome. All do it.
YES - I have cleared cache... but it still does it when you FIRST click on a file to view.
I have a hard time thinking that i have to tell people (when I send a proof)...
"Please refresh your browser several times to view the file correctly"
    Attached is an example...
The LEFT is what is viewed on the Creative Cloud, the RIGHT is seen through "Preview" and is the actual file.
This compression (or squeezing) is being done too all the files uploaded.
Send a proof to someone? Not through Adobe Creative Cloud.
    Anyone have a solution?

    Greetings Ken,
    Thanks for the follow up.
I did go back to these same files and they don't seem to be "squishing" any longer.
Was there something done or updated?
While the "squishing" seems to be fine, the images are fuzzy for proofs and the navigation is not intuitive.
These particular "fast turnaround" proofs don't work for this setting and the current proofs present two 'minor' issues...
    • The client can't click on the first one and arrow through OR click through (again minor).
    • The screenshot proofs are better seen via email instead of posting them here (some are too fuzzy).
These are definetly MINOR issues... but understanding the nature of the business... clients need to see them clearly.
(although I wish it could work through Adobe Creative Cloud Files).
If you have any other suggestions... I'm open
    Thanks again Ken,
    -M@tt

  • No preview for InDesign Creative Cloud Files

I uploaded a number of files to the "Creative Cloud Files" folder on my computer, then went to creative.adobe.com Files section to view them.
Illustrator and Photoshop files display properly with a preview, color swatches, layer control, etc.
But InDesign files display as a blank icon, no color swatches and cannot be paged through.
They can be downloaded and opened just fine, so they are not corrupt or anything.
Here's a link to one of my InDesign (.indd) documents that is not showing a preview: http://adobe.ly/TRcWZN
I know this is supposed to work with InDesign files.
I have seen a few examples of people being able to page through an InDesign file.
    Here's one: https://creative.adobe.com/share/e86a3bf2-fd5f-41a0-8be8-c4a7aff131cb
Does anybody know why I am unable to preview these InDesign files? Am I missing a setting somewhere?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I also seem to have this problem. Here’s a link to a file created in InDesign 2014 (10.0.0.70) which the web shows as a blank icon.

  • How can I view my Creative Cloud Files on my iOS device?

Hi All, I recently turned on file sync in my Creative Cloud app, and like the WEB UI overall.  I'm considering permanently switching to CC from Dropbox.  The one thing I can't seem to find is a CC iOS application.  Are we seriously expected to browse our files via mobile device on a browser? There is no app?
    Excerpt from Adobe Site:
"Your Adobe Creative Cloud account comes with online storage so that your files are available to you anywhere and on any device or computer. You can preview many creative file types directly in a web browser on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. These file types include: PSD, AI, INDD, JPG, PDF, GIF, PNG, Photoshop Touch, Ideas, and others."
Edit: I just tried using the file explorer via Safari and Chrome on my iPhone 5s and the scrolling is completely broken, I can only see the first few folders, and am unable to scroll down for the rest.

    1. I'll make sure to do that
    2. The Touch Apps do not help me with the functionality I am looking for.
    3. I contacted Adobe Support and received no help, transcript below:

  • CoreSync.exe blocks all network traffic while (slowly) syncing my Creative Cloud files

    Hello folks,
Since the latest Creative Cloud update (I'm using version 1.9.0.465 as of this writing), I've been unable to successfully sync my Creative Cloud Files folder.
First things first, as other forum users have posted elsewhere, when the update installed itself, my Creative Cloud Files folder was moved from my chosen location to its default location (C:\Users\MyUserName) and I've been unable to put it back where I wanted it.
However, more pressingly, I noticed that every time I booted my computer, neither my wife nor I were able to access the Internet.  After a couple days' trial and error I realized that Creative Cloud was trying (unsuccessfully) to sync about seven files (totaling about 750MB) to the cloud, and anytime the sync was actively working, my network access was completely blocked.  Even the Creative Cloud desktop app itself couldn't access the Internet to authenticate my apps or Typekit fonts.
I have managed to get much smaller files (1MB, 5MB, up to 15MB) to sync successfully, however this takes a really long time, and no one on my network can manage to load a web page on their device until the sync is complete.
Right now I've got syncing paused, and everything on my network is working fine.
For some additional info, I've attached a screen grab of my Networking tab from Task Manager:
The big spikes in that graph are me and my wife loading up tons of web content-- YouTube videos, a million tabs of who-knows-what, all acting normally.  Then I hit Resume on CC's sync operation, my activity line clamps way down, and no one can load any Internet content anywhere.  After that, I released my computer's IP address from the command prompt, at which point Creative Cloud Desktop returned a connection failure, and I quit the app.  When I renewed my IP address, I noticed our network access was still blocked, even though Creative Cloud was not running.  I traced the problem back to CoreSync.exe, which had continued running even after I'd quit Creative Cloud.  The moment I ended the CoreSync.exe process, everything was back to normal... until I restarted the Creative Cloud app, which in turn restarted CoreSync.exe.  It was only after pausing CC's sync operation that we were able to use the Internet again.
So!  To sum up, here are my two issues:
Syncing is entirely broken, and prevents everyone on my network from using the Internet while CC spins its wheels.
For some reason, following the same update, I'm unable to change the location of my Creative Cloud Files folder.
    Some things I've tried:
Uninstalling & reinstalling the Creative Cloud Desktop app-- no change
Clearing my archived files on creative.adobe.com in case there was some weird argument happening between my live/syncing files and my archived files-- no change
Manually adding CoreSync.exe to my Windows Firewall whitelist-- no change
Finally, I can recreate this issue on my second computer, running the same version of Creative Cloud but running off wireless instead of Ethernet.  Same symptoms-- feed it a file to sync, and everyone's Internet access is gone until the sync operation [eventually] finishes.
I'm completely stumped and very frustrated.  I rely heavily on CC's file syncing feature, and as it's the only cloud storage product I'm actually paying for, I'm not willing to abandon it for another service like DropBox.  I'm willing to try just about anything-- and in the meantime I'm just wishing Creative Cloud Desktop app updates weren't compulsory; the last build I'd installed here was working perfectly fine.
My basic system specs in case it's helpful:
    Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1
    2x Intel Xeon E5-2670 @ 2.6GHz
    64GB DDR3 RAM
    nVidia Quadro 4000
Any insights would be incredibly appreciated!  Thanks in advance.

    Heyo Dave,
Thanks so much for your reply and suggestions.  Here's what I've discovered after some more noodling.
I'm no networking guy, but I can't seem to find anything about my modem or router that would explain why my upstream traffic is being throttled using CC-- especially since it's all the same hardware I was using last week before I updated CC.
In addition, I've tried test uploading a couple of files using DropBox, Google Drive, and WeTransfer.com, and neither process interrupts Internet use on my network.
With all that said, I did go in and pull back my Transfer Speed settings in CC from Maximum to Low, and that made a big difference!  Syncing continued to work, and our other network requests were working just fine.  I managed to get my upload speed set as high as Medium; High and Maximum both kill my network within seconds of being set.
So I'm not sure what was done to the CC application in this release to supposedly enable us to "Sync Files and Fonts faster" (from the release notes), but whatever it is, it's got my uploads capping at 100Kbps (compared to a minimum 350Kbps using Google Drive) unless no one in my home wants to check their email for the next hour.  That's a significant bummer for me, as my After Effects projects regularly swell to ~50MB toward the end of a project.
I'd like to submit a big report here, since really the only variable at play in this situation was the Creative Cloud update.  However, unfortunately it looks like the bug report form is down...  I'll have to try again later.
In the meantime, if there are any other suggestions for experiments I can run on this beast, I'm happy to oblige and report back in case other folks with similar issues can get some relief!
    Thanks again,
    Jared

  • Fonts not displaying properly in Creative Cloud files

I just noticed that fonts are not displaying properly in my Creative Cloud files.  The strange thing is, they continue to display correctly in files I uploaded prior to release - it's just in files I upload now that the fonts are reverting to some generic display font.
For reference, here is a file uploaded before release:
    https://creative.adobe.com/file/7ba1e1dc-993e-4f85-bf2d-7ec4e099929e
And here is the same file uploaded just now:
    https://creative.adobe.com/file/82f1ed16-8f8c-45f5-9127-791f08ad9ec9
The display problem also applies to downloads of the newer file as a JPG, PNG or PDF, although the fonts are still present in the downloaded original file.  With the older uploaded file, download as PDF is not available (presumably because this was a release feature), but download as JPG and PNG outputs a file with the correct fonts intact.
This is a serious problem, because it makes previews inaccurate as well as making the download feature almost useless.  Was it perhaps an unintended side-effect of turning on download as PDF?

On a related topic, here's another Illustrator file with fonts displaying incorrectly, but this time it also has problems with the download links - the options for PNG, JPG and PDF do not appear at all.
    https://creative.adobe.com/file/2d6d788d-01e4-488d-90b8-46823f2017e2
This is all very strange, because they did appear in a previous version of this very same file:
    https://creative.adobe.com/file/dae50071-9596-44ce-b525-3f52663f8cca
Could it perhaps be related to the strange font behaviour?

  • Is there any plan to add slideshow functionality as well as being able to click from file to file in Creative Cloud Files?

Is there any plan to add slideshow functionality as well as being able to click from file to file in Creative Cloud Files? Seems like the basics, especially when needing to display large numbers of images/photos for a client to comment on. Am I missing something obvious here?

    Hi Rickbalfour,
There isn't any functionality like this currently that I'm aware of but I agree that having this feature would be helpful. I'll ensure its shared with our developers.
    Thanks for sharing the suggestion,

  • How do I specify the 'My Documents' folder as the sync directory for 'Creative Cloud Files'?

I know how to move the 'Creative Cloud Files' directory within preferences, but when I do this, it simply moves the 'Creative Cloud Files' directory within the 'My Documents' folder. I do not think you can set a specific folder as a 'sync' folder in the preferences. Would creating a symbolic link to the contents of 'My Documents' in 'Creative Cloud Files' directory work to enable the contents of 'My Documents' to sync with the cloud? This is for within Windows 8 BTW...

Yes, I understand this. Perhaps a suggestion then to offer this as a feature in a future update. It would be useful to be able to specify an existing documents directory. For example, I have a couple of years worth of client work (psd, html, tpl files mainly) that would be useful to be able to have synched to the cloud without having to relocate them. I have sites configured in Dreamweaver that if I moved those files to the Creative Cloud folder, I would have to reconfigure all those sites. It would just make management of the various Adobe file types easier to have this option.
    Thanks for your help anyways.

  • Downloading InDesign book files from Creative Cloud files

    Gang,
I'm working on a project that has me using the Creative Cloud files to store the changes I make. I know I'm not using all of the features, but with my own personal account on two machines and my employers site license on the other, I end up using the browser version of Creative Cloud to upload and download files on my work computer.
When I download a book file (.indb), Creative Cloud and my browser seem to get confused as to what kind of file it is. Creative Cloud asks me and doesn't have an option for InDesign Book. When it downloads, it downloads as a .octet-stream file. I later go to Finder and change the extension to indb and life is good.
Is this a bug or a feature?
    Warren BIngham

This is a bug. Will update this thread once it is fixed.

  • Creative Cloud Files Public Download Bug

When I make a file in my Creative Cloud Files public and downloadable and share the link, the download does not work for other people. I can download the file fine when I am signed in to my account. When the link is shared and someone clicks Actions -> Download, the browser returns the message:
    {"message":{"x-request-id":"xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx"}}
The x's are all hexadecimal characters and are different every time the download is requested. (I omitted them in case they are tied to my file somehow.)
I have found a way around this but it should be fixed since most people won't know what to do. You can download the file by removing the string "access_token=undefined" from the URL.
While experimenting with this, I found a security exploit that allows you to download a publicly shared file even if downloads are disabled by the sharer. Replace the shared URL "https://creative.adobe.com/share/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx" with https://d0.creative.adobe.com/api/assets/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx" and the file will download.

Ken: I have the same issue. It's highly unprofessional to send a link to a client only for them to say that it doesn't work. Is there any update on this? Or are we to be met with the same wall of silence from Adobe we had after the Creative Cloud Connection fiasco?

  • Not seeing new Creative Cloud files in Adobe Ideas

I have downloaded the new Adobe Illustrator Draw program as was suggested when I opened up Adobe Ideas. I am having trouble getting my Creative Cloud files to sync in Adobe Ideas. I have created a new folder and placed these new files in that folder, thinking that might help jolt the sync to happen. I have also closed out the Adobe Ideas app and restarted my iPad. I don't have a "sync now" button in Adobe Ideas--didn't there used to be a button like that in Adobe Ideas? (I am also not able to "fetch" any new files in Adobe Illustrator Draw--the "Fetch files" button is grayed out and won't let me click it.) Thank you for any help.

The latest version of Adobe Ideas (2.9.1) does not have automatic synchronization. Transferring files from Ideas to Creative Cloud and vice versa now requires manual steps.
To copy files to the Creative Cloud, go to the organizer view and tap the cloud button in the top right of the screen. This will prompt you to select the files you want to copy. Once you select one or more files, tap the Copy button. This will bring up a file browser that shows your files on Creative Cloud. Tap the Copy button again to confirm where you want to copy the files to.
To download files from Creative Cloud to Ideas, tap the "New From File" button at the bottom of the organizer view. (This button has an image icon with a '+' next to it.) Tap "Creative Cloud" from the popup menu. This will bring up a file browser that shows your files on Creative Cloud. If you tap on a .idea file, the file will be copied to your iPad and bring you into sketch mode with that file.
As for Draw, the "Fetch All Files" is not designed to ever be grayed out. Could you send a screenshot so we can diagnose why it is not tappable in your case?
    Hope that helps,
    Frank

  • Working in Lighroom on two computers (synced with Creative Cloud files).

    Hi all,
I'm sure this question has been addressed before but I haven't been able to find a relevant discussion on the forums, so hopefully someone can help out.
After I shoot a series of photos (e.g. on a trip or for work) I use Lightroom for my workflow. Rating, flagging, etc. prior to editing (simple edits in LR and then advanced retouching in Photoshop). I have traditionally done all of this on one computer with one LR catalog, and only one computer needs to have a full catalog on it at the end of the day (not both).
Really, the only thing that needs to sync is the metadata (XMP's are fine) and any changes to the original files (e.g. if I edit one in Photoshop). I have a full CC membership at my disposal, as well as things like Dropbox, Cubby, etc.. Here's what I thought about doing, please let me know what you think or if there's a better way in your mind:
    1. Create folder on Computer A in the Creative Cloud folder (or Dropbox, or whatever).
    2. Import photos to LR catalog on Computer A.
    3. Import synced photos to (separate) LR catalog on Computer B.
    4. Work on either computer independently, as XMP's and file changes should be synced after working with files.
    5. When finished, move folder on Computer A to its rightful place in my albums folder. (Use LR to move the folder so the catalog stays updated).
    6. Delete folder/catalog entry on Computer B.
Does this work? If I want to use Lightroom Mobile (sync with my iPad) how will that affect this workflow?
    Thanks all!

With the recent update of the Creative Cloud Desktop app (1.9.1.474) we unfortunately introduced a bug which causes the creation of a new Creative Cloud Files folder, and re-sync of all content. This will only occur the first time the sync application runs after the update. This has caused understandable pain and confusion, for which we truly apologise.
The Creative Cloud Files app contains logic that supports the use of multiple Adobe IDs. This allows you to sign out of one ID and in to another, but keeps your Creative Cloud content separate. When you sign out and change IDs, the app moves the previous Creative Cloud Files folder and it's contents and appends it with the previously signed in ID (User@AdobeID). It then creates a new main folder and starts to sync content of the new ID.
The bug which I mentioned previously occurs, as the app believes an ID switch has taken place and as such, moves the current Creative Cloud Files folder and tries to append the previously signed in ID. As no switch has actually taken place it manifests as (Unknown).  The app then creates a new main folder at syncs down the data.
Essentially what you end up with is a Creative Cloud Files folder with your newly sync'd data and a Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder that contains duplicate data.
This occurs once, after the last update completes.
The fix is to simply delete the Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder.
I would advise that you ensure you have no pending edits that you may have made offline and that you check the contents of the new, main Creative Cloud Files folder contains everything you expect it to.  If not, check the contents of the Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder.
If there is still a discrepancy with your data, you can check on creative.adobe.com to confirm your data is there.
If you have any further problems or questions about this particular issue please email [email protected]
