Feature requests: Quotas & status reports

I just sent the following feedback to Apple:
"Beside the highly missed backup to AirDisks I would appreciate two additional features in TimeMachine: (1.) I'd like to set a quota for the backup set as I don't want it to fill up the device completely (2.) It would be great to have a daily status report (e. g. by mail) about the performed backups, their size, the oldest backup and available diskspace. I've got three Macs in my family using TM and I'd like to control the backup without logging into every machine."
Anyone to second this?

Thanks for this advice, I was aware of this possibility, but with three Macs backing up to the same USB device, I do not want to hold a partition for every client. Another tweak is to limit the size of the sparse images with "hdiutil", but why not implement this option in the product itself ... ?

I'd like to extend this since I am missing some feature that would make the Quote Comparison really useful.
- Suppose list is grouped by item.
- If I mark various items from the list using 'ctrl+click' for the same vendor it correctly creates an PO for this vendor with the correct items.
- If I now open the comparison list again, I'd like the items that have been ordered to not show up anymore because for these items the best vendor has been choosen and the PO has been issued.
There is no need to show the same items again, in fact, this is misleading in such as it looks as if I still would have to select a vendor again and issue another PO for the same item.
I basically like the Quote Request and Comparison. However, it's not really finished to be used in daily business.

Feature Request: Please fix text editing

Hi there great Adobe Team!
I am usign your product for rapid web prototyping. Often times ontop of my interface drawing, I use the text tool to write some text, and then put a nice colored background box behind it.
The problem I am facing is this:
It seams you have mapped the control-left and control-right keys to change the spacing of the letters. Unfortunately, this is a common mapping used in windows to jump to the next word!
Your current key mapping assignment makes text editing quite troublesome!!!
Can you please change these key maps in your next update?

Hi! This is a user-to-user forum. I recommend that you submit your feature request directly to Adobe using their official Feature Request and Bug Report Submission form:

For future reference, it is possible to change many of the keyboard shortcuts in Fireworks using the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog (under Fireworks > Keyboard Shortcuts). Here, you can choose from several different sets or create your own customized set. Within each set, there are three categories: Menu Commands, Tools, and Miscellaneous.
Unfortunately, none of these categories seems to include the shortcut to which you're referring (for text kerning). To expand upon your suggestion, I'd recommend that Adobe consider adding this missing shortcut to the Miscellaneous category, or create a new category called Text, where users can access and modify this and any other missing, text-oriented keyboard shortcuts.

Feature Request Marked as Being in SQL Developer 3.0 Isn't

The Unit Test feature request titled "Unit Test Implementation Specific Startup/Teardown" has a Status that is "In Release 3.0", but what was added in version 3.0 was the ability to have multiple startups and teardowns per Test, not what this feature request was actually requesting, which was the ability to give each implementation of the Test its own specific Startup and Teardown (which would be in addition to the Test's Startup and Teardown).
Oracle: Please update this feature request's status accordingly, or if you need clarification of the feature request, please let me know.

The bug is not a regression, but simply reflects a lack of necessary maintenance in the the trace viewer.

Where is the Premiere 'Feature Requests' forum?

I would like to suggest that Adobe add the ability to do a name and/or parameter search from the Media Browser in Premiere. I've found feature request forums for many other apps, but not premiere. Where should I post this request?

Feature Requests - Keyboard Shortcut

Please bring de same keyboard shorcuts as the other apps of the Suite. For example zomming with CMD+SPACE BAR. Bring the ability to use modifier keys for the shortcut also (in case of we are in a text box). Thanks!

Remember that you can create your own custom keyboard shortcuts for Fireworks (under Fireworks > Keyboard Shortcuts). You can create multiple sets for different purposes, if you like. In my Keyboard Shortcuts panel, there's even a set called "Photoshop" and a set called "Illustrator"—I've never explored these sets though, so I don't know how they differ from the standard.

Where is the correct place to suggest a LR feature request?

My latest attempt brought me to http://feedback.photoshop.com and trying to sign in brought me into an endless loop.

Some of us theorize that Adobe has enough feature requests and bug reports to last them a lifetime and has therefore made it impossible to register a new ID and sign in... (sorry ).
Seriously, that (http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/new) is the correct place, but there are some problems to be worked out...

The best way to submit a bug report or feature request is to use the bug-report/feature-request form.
The Premiere Pro team doesn’t necessarily see and record every post on every forum and social network, but we do see, record, and track every entry through the the official feature-request/bug-report form.
It also helps a lot if you opt into the Product Improvement Program.
Also, be sure to use the crash reporter.
We really do read all of the bug reports and feature requests, and the software really does get a lot of benefit from detailed crash reports.

Dun tink that creative customer support sucks cos I had been dealing with them in the past and I can say that their service are quite gd and fast. If you wanted a refund, I tink you need to contact the store that sells you the product. Dun tink creative will refund you though.

R12 Payment Process Request Status Report adding extra columns to XML data.

In 11i, we had modified the Preliminary Payment Report to include extra columns ( invoice distributions). In r12 , that report is obsolete and Oracle introduced a new report "Payment Process Request Status Report". This request uses BI Publisher to generate the final report output. I am unable to modify the template since the XML output of the report does not
contain the invoice distribution account data. We need to know how can we modify the XML data to include the extra columns.
For Funds Disbursement Process ( Payment Instruction File) , Oracle provides IBY_FD_EXTRACT_EXT_PUB extensibility package to construct custom XML element structure that can be added to the payment XML extract generated by Oracle Payments. Do we have something similar for this report ? Are there any other options available ?

The same package "IBY_FD_EXTRACT_EXT_PUB" works for payment process request status report also. Please add the logic to get the distribution data in this package and you will see the new XML tags in this report also.

Payment Process Request Status Report - Add Invoice Distribution Section

I posted this in the E-Business Financial forum, but I think this is the right forum to seek for an answer to my question.
In R12.1.3, I need to add Invoice Distribution details into "Payment Process Request Status Report" report. I know that function "Get_Docline_Ext_Agg" in package "IBY_FD_EXTRACT_EXT_PUB" needs to be extended, but I do not know how to do it when it involves adding a new level of records into the XML, assuming that an invoice line can have multiple distribution entries, the function return could not simply be an aggregate value but instead needs to be a collection of records, so I can loop throug them in the RTF tempalte using for-each statement.
Please let me know if this makes sense and/or if you had to deal with a similar issue.

Feature Request: Disable report-level sums if only break-level sums needed

Hi,
With all my success earlier in reporting a bug and getting it fixed in the same day I thought I might try my hand at a feature request and see how I get on.
Would it possible to have the option to turn off the report summary record when summing on a break column?
There are times when you just want one level and not both. I know there is a trick using javascript to hide the summary row but its pretty unfriendly and the javascript shows up in Excel when the report is exported.
Also, I'd quite like to be able to put the sum column value in the description for the summary. At the moment you can only include the header using #SUM_COLUMN_HEADER# but #SUM_COLUMN_VALUE# would also be useful.
