Feature Search Widget; Feature Request - Quick Apply

Is there a posibility to change the the implementation of the
FeatureSearch Widget? By now you enter your search string e.g.
gaussian and after that you have to use the mouse to select the
right item.
I want to see the search feature work like the quick apply
tool in InDesign. Just hit cmd+enter, write the (menu)command you
want to apply and select the one you want with the cursor keys on
the keyboard. After that just hit the enter key and the world is
fine!
So, please put a feature like
quick apply in Photoshop. Just in the commandbar left
adjacent the workspace selector!

Try this:
You can copy file "featureSearch.xml" from an English version
Photoshop.
Its in folder "Adobe Photoshop CS4\Locales\en_US\Support
Files\Feature Help\".
And put it into folder
"Adobe Photoshop CS4\Locales\de_DE\Support Files\Feature
Help\"
of your German version.
I guess it can work.

How do I enable The Google Quick Search Box feature?

The Google Quick Search Box on the toolbar no longer will search when entered. The search request registers but won't search. I have to go to Google.com in order to use the Google search engine. The quick search was handy and I'd like to have it back. Per Google I need to enable it by clicking on the "wrench", search and enable... but it's not there to enable. HELP!

You can also access the Google Toolbar Options thru Tools > Addons > Extensions - Google Toolbar for Firefox & then right-click that extension and click on Options.

"SEARCH FOR" feature

We have a 27'' iMac OS X.
We store all files on a Seagate FreeAgent Drive. The other day as I was cleaning out files I saw in the SEARCH FOR feature found on left side in window when Harddrive icon is double clicked, files, and files dated from beginning. As I mentioned all files are stored seperate from main iMac drive. I keep a window of the different drives open at the same time for navigation around the system. As I proceeded to delete some files from the SEARCH FOR I noticed it was deleting the file named the same from the Seagate FreeAgent Drive.
It does not make sense why it would do this. Does anyone know why this would happen?

I found your description somewhat cryptic, but, if X423424X understood correctly your problem, then you haven't done your due dilligence.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file that stores the "Saved Form" data. 
Rename or delete formhistory.sqlite (plus formhistory.sqlite-journal and formhistory.sqlite.corrupt and formhistory.dat, if they exist) in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case there is a problem with the file that stores the "Saved Form" data. 
This will remove all saved form data, so you may want to rename formhistory.sqlite to formhistory.sqlite.sav or move the file to another folder in case you need to recover some saved data.
You may also need to delete search.sqlite and search.json in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder]

[OER 11.1.1.6.3] More Search Options feature

Hi experts,
IHAC who is trying to use More Search Options feature. It is able to mark the Filter by Categorizations check box that displays all the categorizations.
The problem is that the customer is unable to mark any check box in order to select the categories for its search. It seems that check boxes are disabled.
I have already set up the ‘Search’ settings in the System Settings page.
I will appreciate any comments in order to help to fix the problem.

Lets back up and clarify terms.
A 3 node RAC cluster has one (1) and only one (1) database. Three (3) instances but only one (1) database.
If you are talking about something else you need to be very clear in your description.
Assuming one database and three instances the listener and tnsnames files should be identical. And, as Oracle creates all of this during dbca installation, why is it a concern?

No search key/features in OVI email account

has anyone encounter difficulties in finding the email subject as there are no search key/feature in the ovi email. Is there a better way to search subject body as I have thousand of email in my inbox.

In Nokia Ovi Mail you can indeed search for a specific message using a keyword. Just log onto your account using this link:

On the top right hand corner of the page you will have a searh box, please enter your keyword here and click on "search mail". All the e-mails with that keyword included in it will be displayed.

Firefox 19 MISSING Bookmarks Library's Search filter feature, why?

Has anyone else noticed the following issue?:

MISSING Bookmarks Library's Search filter feature.
ie: select "Show All Bookmarks" => enter a search string in 'Search Bookmarks' eg:win
=> MISSING "Search in:" filter(s)
This has been present in all previous Firefox versions before 19.0, and it is a VERY VALUABLE feature.
Any ideas/suggestions?

Yes, and I presume you mean both the search engine results, and the pages opened from the results.
Without making any changes you could always use '''Alt+Enter''' once you typed something into the search bar, or the location bar so that it would appear in a new tab. From the search results page you could always use "'''Ctrl+click'''" or "'''Ctrl+Shift+click'''" to open link n a new tab

Embedded HTML form disappears from "Featured News Widget"

Hello!
I am using the featured news widget for my tabs. I have a few forms that need to included. I've embedded the html from jotform (where I created the forms). I added it the widget. It works fine on the first rollover, but when you go off and then go back to it, the form disappears. Not sure how to fix this.

If you click on "vertical involvement", the form shows up. Then if you click on another tab and go back to "vertical involvement", the form disappears.

Nevermind. Fixed the issue. It was a jotform. Use the iframe code instead of embed.

Featured news widget and shifting site down on opening?

How do I get the featured news widget to drop down the entire site when open. Currently it stays in a closed state until triggered open. How do I get it so that when its open it moves everything below it down on the site. Currently it just opens and depending on the layer just goes right on top or underneath whatever content is there. Is this feature available or only for the accordion style widget?

Yes. The ability to push content down and back up based on whether the content is showing or hidden is only available for the Accordion Widget. The Composition Widgets always occupy as much space as is required to render all the triggers and targets (be it placed below or above other page content) and will show/hide based on user interaction without reflowing the neighboring content.

Adobe Muse "Featured News Widget"

When I use the "Featured News Widget" all my text boxes are the same size as my largest. I tried to resize the others but it won't let me. Is there a way?

I am having the same trouble with both the Accordian Panel and the Lightbox Display Composition.

The "Political" section is the shortest and contains way too much negative space at the bottom. Another example can be found in the "Sketchbook" section of the linked site above.

Does using the featured news widget limit searchability?

I am using muse to create my site, which has not yet been launched. In order to dsplay a large amount of info in a great way, I have used the featured news widget. Am I likely to reduce the searcability of this information having it displayed in this way?
I already feel a little compromised as I cannot add anchors to each of the news headers, I can only link to the first page.
The only other way I can see of displaying the information in a similar way is to create a long page with anchors at the section headers. It look okay but nowhere near as nice as when displayed in the widget. Will it increase my searchability by having it displayed in this way, rather than in the widget?
Any help would be great.

Hi Clare,
Muse generates proper HTML code for all the content that you place inside a Featured News widget (both in the trigger and target). So the content is as much searchable as any other content on the page. The content is just shown or hidden based on user interaction and not really added dynamically using JavaScript. So it should not hamper the searchability of content on your pages in that context. It should be as good as placing all the content on a long page. If you use any online services/tools to check/analyze the content searchability, you can compare the results of two versions for clarity.
