Featured news composition widget causing crash?

It seems there is a problem with the featured news widget. Actually several... First, you are unable to replace the photos by clicking on a folder icon at the top like you can do with slideshows. To get around this, I just deleted the stock images and filled the frame with a new image, so that’s not too big a problem, it just seems you should be able to somehow change the existing picture rather than deleting and adding a whole new image.
The next issue I encountered is that I can’t edit the bars to the left together. I am having to go to each individual “bar” and change all the states. Also, when I clicked the plus button to add new “bars” it would add only blank bars and a blank frame to the right, so I would have to copy the text box from the bars above and paste them to the new bars, plus also copy the stock image and text from one of the first three boxes to the right and paste that as well to each new box. It seems that when you click the plus button it should fill in the same contents as the “bar” above it, right?
Then, the major issue: once I changed all the states and had it all set up, I tried to save the site and it gave me an error message and didn't save any of the changes I had just made. I know a lot of other people have had this happen. Luckily this is pretty much the only change I made to the site since the last time I saved it, so it makes me think that somehow the widget is the problem and reason for the crash.

As it turned out, I was indeed using the font (Georgia) but did not realize that this particular font can also be used as a System font as well. So I chose the wrong Georgia font which was the System font. I corrected this issue throughout and made doubly sure that I used the Web Font Georgia.

When I click the new Composition Lightbox Muse crashes

-When I click the newly added (empty) composition box to work with it Muse crashes. I have 9 lightboxes and the newly created 10th composition is the one which causes the crash. All the others behave normally. The others have roll over images and text and on click they have vimeo videos, images and text in the lightbox display.
Currently I can't even click on the new composition to delete it without Muse crashing.
I have the current 7.3.5 build and I am running on macbook pro 10.9.2

Does the crash present an error dialog? An Apple crash report? Other?
Are you using a Mac produced in 2006-2009? What version of Adobe AIR do you have installed. (The AIR version is available in the About Adobe Muse dialog.)

Link not working in Featured News Composition

All of the links in this news panel (in the bottom half of the page) work apart from the Barbie one at the bottom:

It should link to http://www.stayquirky.com/barbie-dreamhouses-27-may-2013.html but doesn't do anything when I click on it.
Any idea why it's not working, whilst all the others are?

Hello,
I checked your site and found that there is some component that is overlapping the featured news section (for the link that says "life size barbie dreamhouses to open..."), and hence you are not able to click on the link. This component may be an empty textframe, rectangle etc. or the frame for another component being too large.
Please go to the design mode in Muse for this page and locate this component, and remove or resize it accordingly, after which the link would become clickable.
You may open the page in design mode and "select all" for ease of locating it.

New FCP effects causing crash

With the latest version of FCP we've been given some cool new effects that used to live only in Motion. My problem is, every time I try to apply one, FCP crashes. Any ideas on what might be the cause or how I might go about troubleshooting it?

New logic board causing CRASH?

I just got my G5 back from the shop - the logic board crashed, so i got it replaced.
Since getting it back, my machine is completely freezing on me regularly - particularly when I use Mail.
A friend mentioned that this may have to do with the new motherboard having conflicts of some sort.
I am desperate and working on a deadline - can anyone help me!

Visiting Google News in Safari causes Crash!

Okay, something weird has started to happen today on my machine (1 GHz 12" PB G4, OS 10.4.2). When I visit Google News in Safari, and click on a news link, everything works fine. Then when I try to go back, I can no longer access the network. I'm networked via AirPort Express to a DSL line.
But here's the weird part--Safari is stuck, but then this seems to also crash everything else. When I try to open an application, I get bouncing but the application fails to open. No warning messages are produced. Similarly, I can try to shut down or restart or switch users, and although the dialog boxes pop up, I cannot actually complete the request. I cannot monitor processes. The whole system is hosed and I can only restart by pushing the power button.
This has happened three times today, and has not happened before. I have reset Safari and run Disk Utility to no avail. My next thoughts are to try to reproduce this behavior on another user account, and then to run the Apple Hardware Test (I don't have it immediately on hand). Oddly, no other type of browsing seems to do this--it is quite specific to Google News, and even then only when I try to return to Google News from a linked site.
If anybody has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it!

No, I am saying Google News is unREADable.
The system demands an RSS reader, suggests getting one in the App Store. Got two so far, neither of which wanted to show me the news from Google.
The lastest ($1.99) said "Sorry, blogs catalog is not yet available. Use RSS URL field."
Huh?
So, by now I realize Safari dropped its own RSS reader (the blog that announced that refused to tell me why, instead referring me to still another site . . . as though those of us missing such a device hadn't already visited enough).
The previous RSS attempt (free) just kept telling me to get an RSS reader, and showing me ads for things I didn't want or need.

Installing new software update causes crash of my ipdo

I just downloadeed the new sofware update.
After installation I tunes wasn't abble to connect with my touch anymore. As I wantet to sett back the settings, its not able reset the ipod and always gets back to the page when asking for setting back the ipod for further use. Afer each set back... I cannot even start it or anything else
It worked properly before that update

New Numeric Keyboard Causing Crash

I've just bought a new iMac Intel (Duo not quad) and opted for a numeric keypad keyboard. However, I'm still using Adobe Suite of software, in particular Photoshop and each time I (instinctively) use the numeric keypad (as this seems to work with the calculator and not as a fully functional keypad like on PCs), photoshop freezes, in fact, each and every time I use the numeric keys on the side keypad the entire computer freezes and I have to Force Quit and power backup, shut down and power on. Other than getting used to not using the numeric keypad which I'm used to using on a PC and for which I purchased this keyboard for (regrettably) - is there a solution? Would any one know why it would do this? Other than this problem, Adobe Photoshop CS2 (I know, its an older version) works well and a lot quicker than on my old G5 (though my old G5 didn't freeze with it - a little slow but no freezing). Is the keyboard faulty? Inferior? Will I have to succumb and update my software?

Thanks Leddy - I think an upgrade of software is in order however, after a little more experimenting it seems my keyboard is faulty...the numbers 0 - 9 do not work on the keypad area - I've tried this in 'Pages' and 'Numbers', on the calculator and just in general. If I do use the keys in these applications, no numbers show but the computer doesn't freeze in these applications as it does in CS2. I did the system reset as suggested on another Apple blog area, unplugged the power cord, waited, and also tried an alternate USB port all to no avail. Back to the retailer I go I think...

I'm running a single instance of an Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
With the Partitioning, Automatic Storage Management, OLAP, Data Mining and Real Application Testing options
I try to export some subpartitioned tables with a range_interval/range partition, but I got the EXP-00113.
Is there an update of the export utility or some other utility I can use to export all objects of my database?

Is this the only error you are getting?

Featured News counter & description location

Can the location of the description and counter/arrows be changed for each image in featured news composition widget? For example, I'd like the description to be aligned with the left side of each image and below it. If the images are different sizes, each description would be in a different place. It seems that the descriptions and arrows are stuck in one place for the set of images. Thank you!

Thank you Aish. Sorry, I meant slideshow. I understand how to move the description and counters but I want them to be in a different location for each separate image. When I move them, they stay in that same place no matter which image is up - they may something different for each image, but their location is the same. So let's say for (square) Image 1, I want the left side of the description to line up with the left side of the image. Then for (vertical rectangle) ) Image 2, the left side of it is further to the right, the description is in the same place as it was for Image 1, too far to the left. If i move it so that it is right for Image 2, then it is in the wrong location for Image 1.

"Replace with After Effects composition" in PP CS6 causes crash in AE CS6

Hello,
When I right click on a movie-file in a Premiere Pro seqence and choose "Replace with After Effects composition" AF starts, it asks me what I want the file name to be, "save" this and go on. I can see the interface for a short while, then it crashes and closes. In PP I get the error "The importer reported a generic error"
I have the latest versions of both PP and AE, downloaded from Creative Cloud.
What can I do to solve this?
By the way - when clicking on an audio track, "Edit in Audition" is greyed out... Problems with Dynamic link?

I have now tried what you told me (and some more), without any success;
- Cleared all the files in the named folders
- reinstalled After Effects
- deactivated and reactivated the suite
Every time I try to:
- right click a video file in PP and choose "replace with...."
- copies a video file and pastes into AE...
AE crashes.
When I copy into AE it works until I drag the clip to "New composition", then it crashes.
Hopefully you, or anyone else, have more suggestions. I really need some rain on this clip...:)
UPDATE:
I have now tested with other footage, An MPEG-clip from my Sony (.m2ts) - this works well, both when I copy and paste, and when I use the "Replace..." within PP. The clip can be played in timeline without any problems.
Using the "Replace..." also works well "back in" PP - the effects are there when switching to PP.
However - when I add an XDCAM-HD 422 Movie (.MXF) file to this project it is ok, I can scratch (is that the correct english for using the mouse to "browse" the file in timeline?) this file in a comp, but as soon as I press "spacebar" to make it play "by itself", AE crashes.

Composition -- Featured news -- Hover Using an HTML issue.

Using the Featured News composition to display a *.html page when I hover over the triggered element. The HTML was entered using the Object --> Insert HTML into the target area. The HTML works - However the problem I'm experiencing is that html does not hide initially.

Muse crashing when adding a new Twitter widget!

Whenever i try to drap in one of the new Twitter widgets, Muse crashes. Every time!

No error just crashes completely as soon as I drag the wiget from the panel. Seems to be just the Twitter ones, although I haven't tried all of them.
I'm on a Mac. Using the latest version of AIR, 3.9.0.1210 and the Muse 7.1.

Featured News comp not activating state on rollerout of trigger

My Featured News composition is not activating the rollerover state on "rollout of trigger" I have a previous version of my composition which I am using as a menu which displays the correct state until I rollout of the trigger area yet my newest version with many new pages added to my site does not work. I have tried opening both compositions and even copying the working menu to the not working menu Muse file but then I have 2 menus that do not display the rollover state when the mouse is over the display area. I am very confused as to why one file works and one does not when all the setting for the Featured News composition are the same.
Has anyone else had this happen? If so how did you fix it?
