If possible add to context menu "Clear folder". When in folders have many many letters and i have many many folders, then very simple to delete all letters in folder in "one click". This for Thunderbird.

The 'Search Google for' context menu is opening search results in a foreground tab, instead of a background tab. This started today when I upgraded to FF 13beta

I just upgraded to Firefox 13 beta. Previously when I use the 'Search Google for' context menu - (the menu item is shown when you select any text on a page and right click on it) - the search results page would open in a background tab. Now after the upgrade, seach results page is opening in the foreground. Really annoying :(
I'm using Firefox on Ubuntu 11.04

I see this change as well if I use the right-click context menu on Linux, so I can confirm what you see. 
I don't know why this was changed and how to undo this new behavior.

Keyboard shortcut for context menu

Hello all. I recently got a MacBook and it's the first Mac I've ever had. I'm a keyboard shortcut guy when I can be and one thing that's stumped me is using the keyboard to open up the context menu.
Does anybody know a keyboard shortcut for opening the context menu (ie Ctrl + mouse Click)?
If there isn't one, I would be happy to add a custom keyboard shortcut for it in the System Preferences. I've tried to do so but I'm doing something wrong because it isn't working. Here's what I've tried specifically:
1. For "All Applications" add Ctrl+Space for the Menu Title "Show Context Menu"
2. For "All Applications" add Ctrl+Space for the Menu Title "Open Context Menu"
Does anybody know the exact Menu Title for the context menu?

The Keyboard Shortcuts are for menu items, not macro creation. What you want to do requires a third-party utility for programming keyboard macros such as iKey, QuickSilver, etc. You'll find these at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.

Web report - Right click for context menu

I believe SAP switched the way (left mouse button to right one) to get web report context menu as of BW 3.5. I am looking for the official documentation for it. I could not find it in online help

I'm using Firefox 4.0.1 on Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit. Every time I can reproduce this bug, I'm able to revert it by killing the Adoble Flash process:
Example:

SPList.RenderAsHtml() failing to for context menu..

Hi, In SP 2007 i have been using SPList.RenderAsHtml() in my custom webpart to display a document library from the Parent webSite. User can pick any document library from a drop-down and accordingly this webpart will display appropriate doc library.
Now i am trying to do the same thing in SP 2010, it displays the document library fine but the context menu is failing .
Any idea what am i missing?

I experienced similiar things with SharePoint 2013: some of standard ECB menu item such as "View Properties", "Edit Properties" are rendered fine, but others such as "Manage DataSources", as well as my custom actions, are not
rendered.
If i create a custom web part page, add the list view web part onto the page, the ECB menu item works fine on this list view.
I found that the difference with a list view web part on web part page and SPList.RenderAsHtml is that when you put a list view onto web part page, SharePoint will create a hidden SPView for the list and page url. And i found that when i click open the ECB
dropdown menu, an AJAX call is sent, which will use the current page url to find the hidden SPView.
But with SPList.RenderAsHtml call, most probably, you won't have this hidden SPView in place.
So, i used the following work around: on the same page where you need to call SPList.RenderAsHtml, place a List View Web Part of the same list, so that a hidden view will be in place for the list and page url. And i found that i need to set the list view
web part to Server Rendering (the default is client rendering in SharePoint 2013). And i can set the list view web part to hidden.
By the way, i realized that my workaround does not work for original poster's senario, since i don't know how he can add list view web part of a list from a different site onto page.
Update: my workaround works sometimes, but the it is not stable. Here is some explanation about the hidden view:

Use keyboard for context menu??

Hi,
I'm not sure if I'm using the correct terminology or not -- but here's my question (aided with a screenshot).
Obviously, in that screenshot, I can't press "return" on the keyboard to Log Out. Is there a way to use my keyboard to select "Cancel"?? I know escape will actually cancel it, but this is a general question about the functionality not just this specific screen.
Any help is appreciated -- this has been a pet peeve of mine for years!

Functionality like this has to be built in by developers, so although most apps will do plenty of stuff via the keyboard, not all will. In dialog boxes (like your screenshot is), Standard are Escape (cancel), Return (default button) and Space (glowing button, changed via Tab), but hitting the first letter of the button label is generally a good bet.

Tiny screen for context menu, bookmarks menu, and firefox menu is destroying usability.

When ever I bring up a menu on Firefox, I get a screen shot of the entire screen compacted into the menu that I am trying to use. If I click a menu in my bookmarks bar, I get a compacted screen shot of my browser overlaying the bookmarks menu.

It is giving a short dump with an exception 'empty_obj' in the method

[CS4/5] [JS] Which paragraph style does the panel context menu action work on?

I am trying to write something similar as http://forums.adobe.com/message/2866720#2866720 for the paragraph style context menu. I also would like to find out which paragraph style has been selected when the context menu opens. In the thread there is a "dirty" solution for this, the Edit and Apply options of the context menu also mention the name of the paragraph style. This works as long as the paragraph style is unique.
In my situation the paragraph style names are not always unique, the same name is used in different paragraph style groups. I thought of an even "dirtier" solution that might work for this. The basic idea behind this is to create a new text, asfaik Indesign will automatically apply the active paragraph style to this text and it is easy to grab this style. The code for this is below:

I finetuned the snippet above a bit further. In some cases the context menu will be activated (right mouseclick) from a style that is not currently selected. In thoses cases the example above doesn't give the correct information. In order to avoid this I am now applying the paragraph style of the current context menu to an intermediate textframe. The snippet below is placed inside the EventHandler of my custom context menu item.

Again this snippet seems to work fine. I realize this approach will only work for para styles in a Document object and not for default para styles defined in the Application (suggestions to solve this?). A further refinement could be to first check if a para style name is unique, if that is the case the solution of Jongware (see http://forums.adobe.com/message/2861568#2861568) can be used and an intermediate textframe is not required.
I know this is a dirty solution but are there any issues with this approach?

Context menu in WAD not working (web element installed)

Hi,
I'm working on a web template and I'm trying to use the context menu (web element for context menu is in the template, and there should be options available for the context menu). No matter how hard I push my right mouse button, nothing happens? Does anybody has any idea why?

O.K. don't use google chrome seems to be the answer.

Well... The grants one is specific. It uses a tag called classname like this

Looking for a 'view link target source' context menu item

I'm looking for a 'view link target source' context menu item.
I often open listings of servers' directories; they can include direct links to code files (*.py , *.pl, etc). When I click them directly, I'm asked to open them with an external editor which is not what I want to do; I want to view those files source inside of Firefox. I currently have to
# right-click those links,
# copy link location,
# type "view-source:" in the Location bar,
# paste the copied URL,
# click Go.
This gets time-consuming with the large amount of URLs I need to open.
It's not a native feature for Firefox and a search at [http://addons.mozilla.org AMO] didn't come up with anything useful, for me at least.

1. I created a SC in the local repository, which matches the SC of the track.
2. I moved the exisiting DCs to the SC created in step 1.
3. Now, I created new DCs in the SC in the track.
4. I deleted all .project files from the local DCs.
5. I copied all source files from the local DCs to the new track DCs.
6. I checked-in these changes to the track.

Cannot see context menu for XML messages with Safari and Google Chrome

Hi All,
I am unable to see Context menu with the option of Create, Edit, Delete etc. for KM messages. This problem persists with Safari, Chrome and IE9 browsers. This thing works fine on IE7 and IE8 browesrs.
On clicking History and Options buttondoesn't perform any action i.e. we cannot see the list of options when clicking on those. This problem also persists with the above mentioned browsers.
Also, with IE9 , I am unable to create New message when clicking on New button. The XML form doesnt open on the button click.
The portal version I am using is EP 7.0.
Can someone help me out with this?

Update for RDP 8.1 Windows 7 SP1 changed explorer right click context menu

I have a 4 pcs and 3 nas drive on my network. previous to the update I could view my pcs and nas drives in explorers right pane left click one and access the folders on it. since the update I can no longer do this because "remotedesktopconnection"
has been added as the default (previously it was "open") to the right click context menu. can someone help me change this back so when I right click a network computer icon in explorer I only see:

Theoretically it could be done by modify registry. For example you could
modify right click menu on .exe file by changing values under
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex\
However there are some problems that I cannot define that what kind of “file”
the network computer is.
And I found no article specific to this.
If you really need to restore your context menu and also need this update, I
suggest you uninstall this update first. Then back up your registry, install it
again. This time using process monitor you could record all registry modifications during
this update installation. It might take lots of work.
I tried to do that for you, unfortunately this update has been deployed in our environment which cannot be uninstalled from update history.

I've tried many things and read up quite a bit but I cannot figure this out.
I cannot create an add-in so I have to use VBA.

Yes, it is possible to customize the context menu in Outlook. See
Customizing Context Menus in Office 2010 for more information.
But VBA doesn't allow to customize the Fluent UI in Outlook, you need to develop an add-in instead.
