Fed Ex Delivery Stipulations

Trying to get iphone from FedEx was nightmare!
Verizon has several stipulations on delivering Apple product--coupled with FedExs regulations, getting the phone
became the definition of inconvienece!! Also, have to wait 48 hours to use the phone because I activated it
before I called Verizon. This is not the streamline process Apple usually has.
A little frustrated and wondering if the phone is worth the hype!

Is it the signature issue you are complaining about (which is actually smart considering the value of the iPhone) or the 1st delivery attempt must be done before you can pick it up at the facility? The same is true with Apple deliveries also although if you don't mind taking the risk you can fill out the form to instruct the driver to leave it at the door (but it's up to the driver if they choose to do it or not).
The 48 hours issue...sounds like you're having to go through the aging process...did you order the iPhone using another lines upgrade? It seems that for people that did this you would have needed to contact VZW first to avoid the aging process because the sim in the iPhone is tied to the phone number it was ordered under...so if you attempted to activate first it would try to activate to the number it was originally supposed to be on. Wouldn't have mattered if you ordered via Apple, the same would have occurred (to my understanding). It's a little different than the previous iPhone releases...might be because of the 4g sim

I received spam using Firefox as my browser from Fed Ex; it carried a virus; instantly an $89.99 protection plan was forced on me; don't like sales like that.

I have Kapersky Antivirus and do not need to spend $89.99 on whatever program Mozilla is promoting. First of all, I don't expect spam from Fed Ex and should not have opened the e-mail (which looked authentic and I do order with Fed Ex delivery); however, your loop kept taking me back to the high pressure sale of your Shield antivirus program. Nice that I found out the e-mail was contaminated, but please no high pressure sales or scares. My own program handled it for me.

Firefox does not have anything to do with your email or spam you may have received. Firefox is simply a browser that you use to access your email (Email is managed by people like AOL, Gmail, etc.). And if you received an email trying to sell you software, that came from a third party that is spamming you.

So, it sounds like you may have an infection on your machine if you installed this program. Also, if you provided your credit card to the anti-virus, the integrity of your credit card number is at stake.

Profit Center is missing in Billing document

Hi,
I am trying to create Intercompany billing document IV with reference to Cross replenishment delivery type NLCC,
I am getting the following error:
"Profit center US01/ TP3870 does not exist for 03/23/2011"
Actually, profit Cetner 6045TP3870 is maintained in MMR and same as fed into Delivery document
but while creating billing document the above error is coming
the preceeding number 6045 is missing in billing doc.. system is picking only TP3870...
So please advice what could be the reason the specifid profit center is missing in billing document

Hi,
If Profit Center has been marked as mandatory for the posting, you can face this kind of error before posting the Invoice.
Please check the Profit Center maintained at followings:
1) Material Master
2) Sales Order ->Item Data->Account assignment-> Profit Center.
3) OKB9-> for respective G/L Accounts.
Please check with your FICO consultant, he will surely have better idea on the same.

Issue generating pdf from xml template, data and StreamServer webservices

We purchased Abode LiveCycle Premium Print ES4. It included a product called StreamServe which we planned to use to merge xml templates and data into a pdf file using a StreamServe webservice (for developers). It seems the StreamServe webservices are not equal to that task. Can anyone offer a hint how this automated pdf generation can be achieved using LCPP? (I suspect it can be done using Workbench but I don't know this to be a fact.)

You cannot change this via "Fast Change".
Please see the usage of this field.
Calculation of the delivery time is an element in the determination of a vendor's adherence to delivery dates (that is, the vendor's delivery timeliness, or on-time delivery performance) in MM Vendor Evaluation.
If it becomes known that the vendor can only deliver ordered goods some days later than originally stipulated, for instance, you can change the delivery date accordingly for materials planning and control purposes. However, the statistics-relevant delivery
date remains unchanged.
As a result, the vendor's "on-time delivery performance" score worsens. At the same time, it is ensured that materials planning and control works on the basis of the right date.

Any function module to calculate delivery date?

Hello all,
I think BAPI_PO_CREATE doesn't have ability to determine the delivery date by itself and needs delivery date be fed to it instead. I have a requirement to create a STO with a feed from a 3rd party system that doesn't specify the delivery date at the receiving plant. Could anyone help me identify a function module that returns the delivery date?

Hi Rohit,
It is the same function module that is also called by the form MEPO_DEFAULT_DELIVERY_DATE. I thought that it would be better to call the whole form, since it performs more checks than just calling MD_CHECK_DELIVERY_DATE.
MD_CHECK_DELIVERY_DATE is called with E_DISPODATUM = sy-datlo, i.e. the local date of the user.

We need to develop DO (Delivery Order for logistice dept. ) facality from our supply location.
client requirement is follwing
Delivery Challan: This will be generated from depot and will be linked to SO. Every vehicle should carry this and customer acknowledgement should be obtained on the same
Transportation details: We would like to have vehicle number and LR number as active data fields (today it is fed as text field). Also, these details should appear in Invoice summary report.

Delivery unit in material master should appear on item level of delivery

Dear SD Sales and Delivery experts,
i would appreciate your support very much!!!
We want to implement the following small functionality:
The components concerned are material master, order and delivery item.
The material master is maintained in folder <Sales: Sales Org1> in the field "Delivery Unit" e.g. with 10 PC
If the customer orders 20 pieces, but the existent stock just has got e.g. 13, the nightly delivery batch (VL10) should not deliver the amount of existent stock of 13 pc but should - e.g. after implementing a coded functionality - compare the 20 pc that have been transferred from order into delivery with 13 on stock and then rounds off to the next lower delivery step of 10 after looking up in the material master in folder <Sales: Sales Org1> in the field "Delivery Unit" maintained with 10 pc. These 10 pc should appear on item level of the delivery so that they can be shipped. Open amount of ten will be handled when the stock of this material had been filled up.
Same procedure within an another example:
Customer orders 57 pc - Stock has 39 pc = delivery should post 30 pc
I found the User Exit MV50AFZ1 but the steps in there seem to be to early.
Are there any BADIs wie can use?

hi, my apple email said i will recive my ipod on the 1st,(shiped one the 27th) then 2 days later fed-ex said the 4th, then day later fed-ex said the 8th, its begining to make me mad. anyone else having probablems with fed-ex?

Yes, apple's original ship date was the 28th with a delivery date of oct 2-3. It apparently shipped on the 29th but shortly after I got an email from apple saying that my delivery date had been changed to the 8th. Dont think a one day delay in shipment should result in a 6 day delay in delivery but i dunno

I'm just curious since a good amount shipped out yesterday and then they had the typhoon in Shanghi where the Fed Ex Depot is at.

For all waiting on your preorders- I preordered mine Sept. 5th about 5 hours after the announcement (engraved, standard shipping). It was shipped Sept. 19th and was delivered to my house at 10am today (Sept. 20th), despite having an estimated delivery date of Sept. 21st. As noted in another post, they seem to be coming out of Kunshan, China and then Shanghai and Anchorage, Alaska. Mine might have arrived a day early because Indianapolis is a major FedEx hub and there is a direct flight from Anchorage to Indy. Suspect many will get their Touch models today and tomorrow.

Looks like one is already at the local fed ex facility in my home town, and the other is in Calidornia. They both arrived in Cali at the same time, but only one made it out last night.

If it becomes known that the vendor can only deliver ordered goods some days later than originally stipulated, for instance, you can change the delivery date accordingly for materials planning and control purposes. However, the statistics-relevant delivery date remains unchanged.
As a result, the vendor's "on-time delivery performance" score worsens. At the same time, it is ensured that materials planning and control works on the basis of the right date.
The system inserts the delivery date into this field in the following cases:
You do not enter a statistical delivery date.
You change the delivery date, have not entered a statistical delivery date, and the PO or scheduling agreement delivery schedule has not yet been transmitted to the vendor.

i have a question regarding changing the delivery date in Tx ME38.
When I change the delivery date manually the statistic relevant delivery date is set to blank automatically.
The SAP Help says that the date should remain unchanged and thats what we want.

in the Include MM06EFET_ETT_FUELLEN there is following coding:
IF NOT im_sd_scheduling IS INITIAL.
PERFORM ett_sd_scheduling USING 'X' 'X' eket *eket
CHANGING eketdata_sd.
In the FORM ETT_SD_SCHEDULING
there is the following coding:
Datum oder Uhrzeit geändert --> Versandterminierungsdaten zurücksetzen
CLEAR c_eketdata_sd.
Lieferdatum und Uhrzeit setzen
c_eketdata_sd-eindt = i_eketn-eindt.
c_eketdata_sd-uzeit = i_eketn-uzeit.
So the internal table c_eketdata_sd is cleared and only the delivery date and time are updated, but not the statistc relevant date.
It seems to me like standard behaviour of SAP.

Sloc Stocks during delivery creation

Hi,
We have a unique scenario at our site. The manufacturing booking and Stock loading are automated at the plant and the shopfloor systems feed data automatically to SAP.
The Production figures are fed only once a shift whereas our movements to our warehouse happens every half an hour once. Assume that the starting inventory at the plant is 0. at the middle of the shift, the production sloc (101) stock is -100 pallets (as the production booking has not happened but stock transfer happens continuously) and the warehouse (103) stock is +100.
Now the issue arises when we try to create a delivery at the warehouse (103). The system is giving an error message that the stock is zero as it is considering the plant stock and not the warehouse stock.
The sloc 103 is maintained in the sales order. Is there any ways of making the system only consider the storage location (103) stock when creating a delivery instead of considering the plant stock

Not too sophisticated solution but maybe allowing negative stock for your material can help you:

Negative stocks are required if, for example, goods issues are entered before the corresponding goods receipts for organizational reasons and the material is already physically located in the warehouse.
(001, 003 are storage types in WM?)
