Fed Ex Pre sign?

My phones will be here tomorrow, and I'm not going to be able to stay home to sign for it. Any one know or have any luck with a pre sign with fed ex? I just left a note on my front door. Hoping they'll leave it, or come later in the afternoon when I'm off work.

That should work.  The sig required for these are:
Indirect signature required
That means you can have someone sign for it or leave a note saying it's OK to leave them.

  • Is there no pre-sign button on the Apple Watch shipping notification

I have received the shipping notification email from Apple. It says  the shipment requires a signature. The usual "Pre-sign for this shipment"  button is missing. Is there no way to leave a signature for UPS delivery of an APPLE WATCH?  I have always  been able to do that with iPhone and iPad UPS deliveries.  This is a major hiccup.

I contacted Apple through the online live chat this morning, and the representative e-mailed me a copy of the pre-sign agreement for my watch order.
I just did a chat and got the following. So no pre-signing for me.
Because the Apple Watch is highly sought out, a signature is required. If you're not home when the courier attempts delivery, they'll leave a note on the door, and you can mention on the back of that note if you'd like them to leave the pakcage in a specific place!

  • Is sign/pre-signing for your device necessary?

Hi, I'm an American living overseas and I recently bought an ipod online. The ipod will be shipped to a forwarding address in the U.S. The problem is that I can't sign or pre-sign for the delivery. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks.

That would be between you and the parcel carrier. If you ordered from the online Apple Store, it is possible for normal shipments to pre-sign for an order:
    http://store.apple.com/us/help/shipping_delivery
but Apple does not ship to freight forwarders and most forwarders will not accept such forms, so that's probably not an option for you. As JEM24 suggested, it would be best if you can have the iPod shipped to a friend or relative in the US who can then resend it to you.
    Regards.

  • To pre-sign or not to pre-sign...

    that is the question.
Granted, the terms and conditions are very straight forward in stating a complete write-off of ALL responsibility (see below)...has anyone done this before and what is your recommendation/experience? Seeing as I will likely be at work and work 10+ hour days I also miss the time windows to go in directly to fedex to pick up a missed delivery. And no, I don't have any reliable way of having someone else (even a neighbor) sign on my behalf. Thanks.
    Terms and Conditions
I understand that Apple requires signatures acknowledging receipt of delivered goods. By signing the Shipment Release Authorization form, I hereby authorize Apple's carrier to leave my package at the address I have specified for delivery when placing my order. I understand that, in so doing, I assume the risk of any loss, theft, or destruction, and release Apple and its carriers from all liability that may result from, leaving the package where I have indicated on the Shipment Release Authorization form.

I pre-signed for mine since it came a day early. But I work about 15 mins away and called fedex every hour (this was launch delivery time). It came about 10 mins before my hourly fedex call so I drove home to get it. I'm in a very safe area but no way would I leave it for very long - just too tempting. Your other option is to call FedEx and ask them to hold it at your closest pickup point (our distribution center is very close) so you don't have to worry about it. Then you can go pick it up. You can also pre-sign but have them leave it with a neighbor you trust vs at your door.
Bottom line, will you be ****** if it gets stolen? If yes, don't pre-sign and arrange to pick it up at FedEx.

  • Pre-sign for delivery help?

Hello everyone, I need some help. I am trying to "pre-sign for delivery" of my iPhone 5 as I probably won't be there when it is delivered. However, whenever I follow the "pre-sign for deliver" link, it takes me to my order page but there is no link there. Nothing at all. If it helps, my order is in the "preparing for shipment" phase. My best guess is that you can't pre sign until the order is being shipped or something, as it is probably carrier specific, however I'm not completely sure.
As a bonus, anyone have any idea whether it's best to pre-sign for delivery or authorize somebody else to sign for me? (I live in a college dorm hall)
    Thanks guys!

That depends on whether you want everyone living in (and passing through) your dorm or just the person you authorized to be suspects in the theft of your phone.

  • "Pre-sign for this shipment form" has disappeared

I have an iphone coming tomorrow and need the pre-sign form for UPS delivery.  The "Pre-sign for this shipment" link mysteriously disappeared from my order status page.  It was there yesterday.  Gone today.
    Any suggestions?

    Wow.
I am having a hard time believing what just happened when I called Apple Customer Service.
They DEMANDED $20 before they would transfer me to the team that could send me the form.
So Apple's web site is broken.  I am a customer who has every iphone they ever made, a Mac Pro and iMac, several Macbooks and numerous ipods.  But I have to pay $20 to get a form that isn't there because their website is broken?
THAT is the WORST customer service I have ever had.   Bar none.

  • How do I "pre-sign for delivery"

I reveived notice that my iPhone 5s is in transit.  The page had a link to "Pre-Sign for delivery."  That takes me to the "Your Orders" page.  I can't find the "Pre-sign option there.  Any ideas?
    Ken

Same here - continuous loop from "click on Pre-sign button on email" back to website that has no Pre-sign option, to calling the number.  Very nice lady at phone number looked everything up and "sent email", but no email ever came.  She said they were very backed up from iPad Air promotion.  One day later, still no email.   - In my case, I'd rather pay $5.00 than have to deal with UPS redelivery, so I paid UPS to just deliver to nearby UPS store.  Yes, it's broken.

  • Pre-signing iPhone 6 plus for a friend

Ok so I am from Costa Rica and I want to preorder the iPhone 6 plus, I want to ship it to an U.S address but I read that I need to be present in the delivery cause of shipping policies of apple, so my question is how do I pre-sign so that anyone can receive the package whithout any problems? excuse my ignorance about this I do not know to much about this delivery system. Thanks

    Hi memoag12,
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here's what the Apple Store shipping and delivery page says.
    Shipping & Pickup
    http://store.apple.com/us/help/shipping_delivery
If you are unavailable to provide a signature, Apple offers three easy options for you to receive your package.
    Option 1: Pre-sign with Apple
There are two ways you can Pre-sign for your shipment:
Click the Pre-sign for this shipment link in your Shipment Notification email
Visit online Order Status and click the "Pre-sign for this shipment" link
Complete and print the Shipment Release Authorization form. Leave the form on your door for the carrier, prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of expected delivery.
You can specify a preferred delivery location (e.g., front door, back door, immediate neighbor, or building manager). If you provide an address other than the one specified on the package, someone must sign for the package.
If you'd like to pre-sign for more than one shipment, simply print, sign, and leave a Shipment Release Authorization for each package.
For safety and security reasons, all deliveries are subject to the driver's discretion. If you are unable to access the Pre-sign Form, call Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 and let us help!
Option 2: Sign to release your shipment to your address, an immediate neighbor, or a building manager
If you did not pre-sign for your package through Apple, and you were unavailable to provide a signature, the carrier will leave a Delivery Notice on your door after the first delivery attempt.
You can sign the Delivery Notice, specify a preferred delivery location (e.g., front door, back door, immediate neighbor, building manager), and leave the notice on your door prior to the next delivery attempt.
If you provide an address other than the one specified on the package, someone must sign for the package.
Option 3: Pick up package at carrier's local facility
After the first delivery attempt, you can request to pick up your package at our carrier's local facility. Call the number on the carrier's Delivery Notice and inform the carrier you'd like to pick up your package in person.
To pick up your package from the carrier's local facility, you'll need:
    The Delivery Notice
Government ID (driver's license, passport) that matches the package name and address
Second ID with your name on it (credit card, social security card)
The carrier can release the package only to the person included on the shipping address.
    Take care,
    Nubz

  • Pre-Sign For This Shipment

More of a comment than a question.  I diligently clicked on the link, printed the form, signed it and attached it to my door.  When I got home, the UPS driver had taped his "failure to deliver" form directly above my "pre-sign" form and hand wrote on the form "in person."  So I guess the pre-sign form is sort of meaningless if your shipment is via UPS.

Ironically mine got left on top of the mailbox without a note or signature being taken.

  • Any way to pre-sign for a UPS delivery from Verizon?

I might have to run out for a few minutes and don't want to miss my delivery.  Can't find anything on either UPS or Verizon's website.  Is there any way to pre-sign?

Type up a consent saying, "I am authorizing UPS to leave my package at the front door (or wherever you choose), and I understand that it is not UPS's responsibility if the package is stolen." Type up something similar to that and make sure you put the name that's  on the package, the address, and tracking number on the form then sign and date it. That's the same thing Apple's pre-sign form has on it. I used my old one from the February iPhone I ordered through Apple for this one I ordered through Verizon. I just photo shopped the tracking number. It is still the driver's discretion whether or not they want to leave it and take that as a signature though.

  • UPS won't deliver using pre-sign form

I put the properly filled out pre-sign form on my door this morning because my iPad was on the truck for delivery today. Luckily I was home when the driver came and knocked on the door.
He said that signatures are required for all Apple shipments and that I can't pre-sign for them. That means I have to take off work to wait for a shipment every time I buy something from the Apple store online?
It's deceptive for Apple to tell me that I can pre-sign and then it doesn't work. Somebody isn't telling me the truth.

The Help pages for the Apple Store say that pre-signing is available, though they also say that for safety and security reasons, all deliveries are subject to the driver's discretion, so your driver may be correct about the carrier policies. Call the carrier's customer service department and ask about their policies.
Personally I consider pre-signing for any shipment that's worth more than a small amount to be a foollsh risk. It's not at all uncommon for packages to go missing when just dropped at the front door - there have been more than a few posts in these forums complaining about missing deliveries - and if you pre-sign, neither the carrier nor Apple will take any responsibility for a missing package. If you can't be present at home to accept a shipment, I'd suggest either having it delivered to your place of business, to the home of a friend or relative who would be available to accept the shipment for you, or arrange to pick up the parcel from the carrier which you can usually do by calling the carrier after the first delivery attempt.
    Regards.

  • UPS shipping and pre-sign form

My iPad went out for delivery today and I left the pre-sign form for UPS on my door. However, they didn't leave it where I specified and will make another attempt tomorrow.
Has anyone had issues with UPS and the pre-sign form??

Same thing just happened to me today. I called UPS, to my surprise the rep knew about the Apple pre-authorization form. They called the driver who said he would try again
I did this often with FedEx and had no problem.

  • Error executing cancelAction on pre-sign event?

    Hello everyone!
I'm having an issue about cancelling sign action on presign event (signature field) on LC designer ES 8.2.
The fact is i've a jscript validation function that validate some requiriments in the presign event, if everything goes well then it return a "true" boolean and continues the sign action, if the response is "false" then i trigger a 'xfa.event.cancelAction = 1' to cancel signing action. If i try to click again over signature field after the first error is reported by the preSign event, the form will not be able to validate and report additional errors: it will always show a "Sign cancelled" message error instead to perform expected presign jscript code again.
Any idea how to perform a correct cancel Action to aboid sign if form does not pass my validation code or why i'm having this error if my try is the correct way to perform it?

    Hi,
Can you check what you have set the target version for the form (File > Form Properties > Defaults tab)?
The cancelAction property was introduced in XFA specification 2.8. This means that the user MUST be using Acrobat/Reader version 9.0 as a minimum.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall

  • How does "pre-sign" works if I live in Colombia?

I ordered an iMac online in the Store, and I'm designated a shipping address to my carrier's office in Miami, which is going to send it to me in Colombia. I'm right now in Colombia.

Amazon will use a freight forwarder. Apple will not. If they shipped your order, then they didn't recognize your "carrier" as being a forwarder.
This is an issue you will need to take up with your forwarder. It's quite possible the shipment will be returned to Apple, but again it's something you will need to solve with Continental.
    Regards.
