Federal tax levy tables

Hi Guru's,
How do we update the federal tax levy table are these updates comes as a support pack from SAP or we need to go and change the values each year. Any help would be appreciated. If it has to be done through the support pack send me that info that will be really helpful.

YTD Federal Tax base display issue in pay stub

Dear Experts,
We have a requirement to display the YTD value of federal tax base in pay stub. For this I have used the wage type /701 from TCRTY table.
I am printing that wage type in a window using wage type /701 directly from table TCRTY, while doing this I have used split indicators 9 and 8 in consider split field and * in "dsplit" field. When doing this , system was printing /701 for both federal as well as state but as stated above my requirement is to just print the federal tax base. Hence in order to filter out the state tax base, I have attached a rule with wage type in PE51as stated below.

As per the rule listed above tax authority is not equal to A then system should skip that value but still system is printing the value of state tax authority which has a tax level "B".
Requesting you to please suggest if I am missing some thing here or there is some other way by which I can filter out the state tax base for wage type /701.

If you want to print fedral base than you should make your rule this way.
Rule Table Field Off C T C Value 1 Table Value
T3 TCRTY TAXLV 3 C EQ 'A
If this does not work then try using,
T3 1 TAX TAXLV <space> 1 C EQ 'A <space> TCRTY BETRG.
Where space refers to cloumn that needs to be kept blank.
Also, place appropriate wage type for field mapping as identifier /701.
Actually you are filtering out federal base in your rule and displaying all /701 other than federal level.

State tax levy changes

Hi I have an issue here as the state of IOWA has a new rule that state tax levy should deduct 100% of the disposable net for garnishments. In my system. So i need to do changes to the wagetype attachement from 25% to 100%.
Can some one let me know where am i suppose to be doing this changes
your help apporeciated.

I have configuration setup for the state tax levy that there is a model for non exempt which has been created dispos.net 75% exempted. So the wage attachement over here is only 25%. Since i want the wage attachement know as 100% can i just delete the table entry for the filed "model nonexempt amount" in table T5UG4 so that 100% of disposal net can be used for state levy

Data Federator: Unioning Multiple Tables into single view possible?

Hi,
I have three different databases with tables containing a portion of the same kind of data and I want to union the three different tables together in Data Federator to present a single logical view that has the complete set of data. Is this possible in Data Federator? How would I go about doing that?
Note: I do not have keys to join the tables together on since it's not simply extending the data in one table with additional data in another table and doing an inner join on a unique key. Instead, for example, there's a customer table for Finance, a customer table for Operations and a customer table for Sales and they all contain the same columns (with maybe slightly different names) and same type of data. I want to effectively union Finance, Operations and Sales together in a federated/virtualized view so applications can just query from that view to get all the customers from the three different databases.
I have been unable to do this so far since Data Federator requires each table in a mapping to have a relationship with the other tables in the mapping.

I figured out the original question using one mapping for each table but have a new question now.
Is it possible for an application to use the combined view from Data Federator to write back into the databases?
e.g. have an application use the target table in Data Federator and view the results, and based on that update the data in the underlying database that provides the data for the target table?

Hi Brandyn,
I am not clear with your requirement by mentioning the 'SAP delivered', if you have access to the system you can download them right away. The other option is you can ask your Basis team to help you out by extracting the data from 000 client.

I am getting an error while creating any tax formula in SAP "This entry already exists in tax formula table "OFML" (ODBC-2035) " . I have checked that there is no such type of formula in SAP. Kindly let me know if some one has the solution.

I had the same problem. Some SQL tracing revealed that the ONNM table was out of synch with OFML
To resolve this, I got the last ID used in OFML:
select MAX(absid)
from OFML
Returned: 28
Then looked at ONNM
select *
from ONNM
where ObjectCode= '276'
Returned: 28 (it should apparently be the next ID to use)
update ONNM
set AutoKey = '29'
where ObjectCode= '276'
Then go out of the formula screen, open a new one and insert again
It worked for me...

Form 941 - Employer Quaterly Federal Tax Return

When we run the Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Return (form 941), the
income tax withheld figures are not added to line # 11 (total deposit
for quarter). Only the Social Security and Medicare amounts are listed

This is because you are not passing your taxes which you paid to the finance. The fix for this is to do manual adjustment. Go to utilities -> manual adjustment-> click on deposits , interests and penalities and adjust here. for eg
fed 0001- put the amt to be adjusted.
fed 0005 -put the amt to be adjusted
fed 0006-put the amt to be adjusted
after saving this runt he form againa nd see the result.

I serched in the forums to find t.code or menu path for creating a tax condition table for MWST tax condition type, but no body has given any specific answer. most of them have given the SD or MM related condition tables.
My requirement is, I want to create a key combination for "MWST" TAX condition type. Please let me know the process of creating the key combination for TAX condition type.

MWST is the standard progarm access sequence
condition type is base to calculation of main the tax procedure
but the thing the access sequence and conition type are pure MM, SD Work,
if you need to table :
T685,T685A,T685T,
are else you use Z table with the help of technical consultants'

Azure SQL Federations Retired - Will Table Partitions replace?

My latest project was designed around Azure SQL Federations. Needless the frustration of the this feature leaving is high, I can't imagine the people that have already coded their projects around it.
With Azure SQL Federations gone, is table partitioning going to be in the road map soon?

The features of SQL Server that are typically used for partitioning data in on-premises solutions include: Replication, Table Partitioning, Partitioned Views, Distributed Partitioned Views, File group Strategies, and Cross-database queries (Distributed Queries).
Azure SQL Database does not support all these features except Partitioned Views. Azure SQL Database does offer a scale out solution, which horizontally partitions data across multiple databases.
Azure SQL Database supports two methods to implement partitions, one is custom sharding, another is federations.
The current implementation of Federations will be retired with Web and Business service tiers. Consider deploying custom sharding solutions to maximize scalability, flexibility, and performance.

Taxes condition table - missing.

We have one situation where in our client is facing an error while creating a sales order(trading)- the error : condition table missing access JST1(pricing- taxes)missing. what can be the causes and solution?

check the access seq JST1 from the following route
SPRO > Financial Accounting >Financial Accounting Global Settings > Tax on Sales/Purchases > Basic Settings > Check Calculation Procedure > Access sequece
There might b the condition table missing, either enter valid conditon table or remove the ACNO(acess no) from the JST1 access sequene.
