Federation using weblogic as an IDP and OIF as a SP(service Provider)

Hi,
I am facing some problem during SAML creation.
I am using weblogic as an Identity Provider and Oracle Identity federation (OIF) as a service Provider. The federation will be IDP(weblogic) initiated.
I have configured both sides , published metadata and exchanged.
Is there any out of box feature of weblogic by which we can use SAML after configuration only or we need to write a separate java code(Login page.jsp etc) in order to create login page and using the entire configuration which I made in weblogic.
I am using OIF as service provider . I have Exchanged metadata of OIF and weblogic as part of building trust between IDP and SP.
IF I had used OIF at both sides in that case my job would be pretty easy (cause OIF is specifically built for this purpose. But our requirement is different as I have to use weblogic as an IDP).
What URL I need to hit for SAML if there is out of box feature in weblogic for using SAML(after configuring everything in weblogic).
Thanks.
Piyush

Weblogic itself does not have an identity provisioning store, you will have to employ a provisioning mechanism.

  • Is anyone got problems with iPad 2 and iOS 8 ? My service provider keeps dropping out. I have to restart it everytime any way I can fix this

Has anyone upgraded to iOS 8 and have found that the service provider keeps dropping out? I have to restart my iPad to get my service back. Only happened after upgrading! Would love A fix for this.

I'm not going to say that you won't find an easier solution than the one below, but I would recommend it as the "ultimate" solution.

Re: IPAD2 very slow after IOS 8 upgradein response to pacoKAS
SOLVED:  IOS 8 Issues on iPad 2:
I just returned home from a visit to the Genius Bar. Like you and many others, when I upgraded my iPad 2 to IOS 8, it became practically unusable. It was VERY slow, lagged whenever trying to to do anything. Lots of screen freezes and apps spontaneously crashing. I was convinced that the processor on the iPad 2 just couldn't handle the new IOS and I went in to see about restoring to IOS 7.
Thankfully, I was hooked up with a very sharp guy at the bar. The problem is not with the OS, it is with it being an *upgraded* OS. He used the analogy of when you had an older Windows computer and how over time (and over upgrades), they just tended to get slower and slower because of all of the garbage that was carried forward in the upgrades. At those times (and if you've ever had a Windows computer, you get this), the only thing that would speed it up would be to wipe the machine and do a fresh install of the current OS and then reload your apps, and the viola, everything would be fast again. Well, it turns out that IOS can suffer the same problems.
THE FIX:  FIRST, be sure you have a current iCloud backup of your device.  Connect your iPad to a computer that has a clean fresh copy of IOS 8 on iTunes (this is best done with a computer other than the one that you sync your device to because you DO NOT want to restore it from a back up just yet). Ideally, if you do this at an Apple store you'll be assured of the right version there and someone to answer any questions you might have along the way. You then hold the power and home button down to hard-reset the device and continue to hold them down until it reboots into recovery mode. You then follow the instructions on the computer to reinstall the OS on the device (which wipes everything from it and then reinstalls a clean copy of it). Once this is done (which only takes about 15 minutes), your device will reboot and ask you to set it up. Answer the questions about language, location, etc. and continue until it asks you to log into your iTunes account. Once you do that, it will ask if you want to either 1) Set it up as a new device, 2) Restore from iCloud, or 3) Restore from iTunes. Choose (2), restore from iCloud. This will ensure that it brings down "clean" copies of all of your apps and preferences rather than the potentially corrupted ones that might reside in your iTunes backup. That's it! It will take a few hours depending on how much data and apps you have, but I am happy to report that my iPad 2 is now running IOS 8 and it's running as fast as it ever did when it was brand new!
To sum it up, this process 1) Wipes your device and the garbage causing your problems, 2) Loads a clean and bug-free version of IOS 8 to your device, and 3) restores your apps and data so that it looks just like it did before the wipe, with the exception that it works now!  :-)
Note also that by following this process you don't have to go through the painful and laborious process of reloading all of your apps, data and/or settings. iCloud takes care of all of that for you.

  • HT204053 I have iPad 2 and recently changed my Internet Service Provider and email address. I have created a new Apple I.D. and password but when I try to access or open my iPad 2 I am asked for the password for my previous email address.

I have iPad 2 and recently changed my Internet Service Provider and email address. When I switch on the iPad I am asked for my password for
my previous providerwhich when entered is not acceptable. I am told to create a new passord but this only changes the password for my current
address. I am now unable to access iPad and I need to know how to circumvent this.

Roger, thank you.  I wish I had sent out this question a month ago, when I committed the folly of creating another apple id with my alternate email address.  Since then, I had realized that I didn't seem to need it, hence today's post.
So now what do I do?  Is there anyway to delete that unecessary apple id?
And it is even worse than that...the secondary address listed currently in our apple id is a mobile me one that my husband created, but never uses, never checks, and probably doesn't even remember the password for.

It doesn't work when I can't get 3G, whether at home or overseas. Receives no problem, and 3G works fine when it's available.

Maybe it is a 3GS. Anyway, I get the error that the network is not responding, and to check my settings. My ISP is Uniserve (Canada) but I am trying to use Telus (at home, where there is no 3G in my neighbourhood) or whatever is available as I travel eg. US or Europe for outgoing mail when 3G is not available. My husband has no problem with his iphone 4 when he sends email the same way usinf wifi.

  • Treo 650 ( as a modem and Maxis Malaysia as a service provide ) + iBook G4

I have sucessfully connect using dial-up networking with Maxis 3G and hotlink 2G ( Malaysia service provider )
Below is settings for Win XP :
The trick is to modify the advanced property settings in Bluetooth Modem (Control Panel -> Phone Modem Options)
Select on Bluetooth Modem, click on property Button.
Select Advaced tab, and enter this extra settings.
    AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","unet"
the above line is for 3G APN
    AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","net"
the above line is for 2G/GPRS or hotlink
Now I can connect using DUN between my laptop and Treo 650 as modem.
I also managed to use DUN between Treo 650 and N70 as 3G modem.
How about using iBook G4 ?

Under Bluetooth in System Preferences You can go ahead and put Alltelin Service provider if you want, it doesn't make any difference. Under Account name you need to put..your [email protected] as an example [email protected], then for password it is alltel all in lowercase. The telephone number to call is #777 then click apply now. You then click dial now. Now as far as your phone you need to go to bluetooth and turn dial up networking on or else it won't work. And yes you need to have the unlimited package that Alltel offers for $29.99. I am an alltel employee and know this works. If you have anymore ?'s just let me know.

  • Attempted to deliver scratched and dented new fridge - customer service provides no help!

Ordered a new refrigerator from BestBuy.com on 12/29. Delivery was attempted today 1/12, but we refused it as the new fridge was horribly scratched and dented. Called 1-888-BEST BUY and they were of absolutely no help - can't tell us when a replacement will be delivered, how many are in inventory, etc. The website shows that we could have one as early as 1/15, but no one in customer service has that same info. In the meantime, the installers cut the water line and moved the old fridge to our garage (where it cannot be plugged in), so we are without a fridge and without any help from Best Buy. I talked to a local store, and they apparently compete with BestBuy.com, so also could not provide any assistance. I'll definitely be buying in store now that I know that there is no customer service for online orders.

Hello kmiller5280, and welcome to the forum,
Finding a fridge that meets your needs is no small feat. Not only do you have to figure out what brand and model provides the best features for you and your family, you also have to coordinate the color and look of the appliance to match the rest of your kitchen.  While I’m glad you found one that’s right for you, it’s incredibly disappointing to hear your appliance arrived in less than pristine condition, especially if we rendered your current fridge unusable. I truly apologize for any frustration or inconvenience this has undoubtedly caused.
To make sure you receive a new fridge as soon as possible, I attempted to pull up your Best Buy account using your email address found on your forum profile to see where we might be in providing you a replacement appliance. I wasn’t able to locate your account, however, so I have sent you a private message to gather further information from you. You may view it by logging into the forum and clicking on the envelope icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

Correct, a standard phone service will not provide internet connection. You need to talk with your cellular provider and ask for a data plan for iPads. Not a phone service.

  • Using weblogic.servlet.FileServlet - can it set expiration date to '0' and not cache the page?

              Hi!
I'm using WebLogic 7.0.2 and using the weblogic.servlet.FileServlet to serve up
              various
pages (HTML, Word, Powerpoint). If I change an HTML file and access it agin things

again I see the previous version of it. I have to clear out the cache and view

to see the changes. Is there a way to use the weblogic.servlet.FileServlet and
              force no

Well I never heard anything so I just created a servlet that inherits from the
              weblogic
FileServlet and puts in the expirationdate in the header before passing it on
              to the
              super class. It works fine.

  • Weblogic portal external authentication and authorization

In our project we are using Weblogic portal 10.3 and Oracle 11g as back end. While creating the domain, I have specifed Oracle as back end. All the portal relevant schemas are created in Oracle database. For our application, We have created a specific schema. In a project specific schema, we have user table which containing fields like user name, password, email and other relevant fields. How to configure in weblogic to access this table for authentication instead of the user table in portal schema? As well as I need to know, in a admin console if a new user is created then the details will be stored in a portal schema table or in a project schema user table? Ultimately, I want to configure the project specific table to store the user details when the user created via admin console.
    Need this urgently.

    Hi Rajesh
Basically you need Custom Authenticator to store and authenticate all your users from your own specific DB Tables (that has user information). For this you need to develop Custom Authenticator. Please note that this has nothing to do with the Portal. This is core weblogic security stuff. I compiled some links for you. Incase if you have Oracle Support, open a ticket with them Oracle support do have a fully working sample custom RDBMS Authenticator that stores and authenticates Users from specific set of custom Tables. They will send you right away. I hope someone in these forums may have this sample also in their personal blogs/forums.
And, Yes, you can force your Custom Authenticator to be the default one and to store the users when you create the users in Admin Console. Basically when you create the users you should see the option like to create the users in which Authentication Provider like that.

  • Errors using weblogic sql driver: "No JDBC connection can be made because the transaction state is marked rollback"

We checked our log files. It seems that the error happens when

    Joe,
We got the exact same error message. The error came after we got theJDBC connection,
and trying to create statement off it.
It occurs intermitently when we are running another standalone JAVAapp to do
some end of day work, which results in the DB Server being very busy(90+%CPU
usage) for about 5 minutes. We see a surge of requests to the WLSJDBC Connection
pool. This would sometimes result in all our subsequent DB requeststo fail and
    lead to a crash.
We are using WLS6.0SP1. I do not think there's a 30 seconds wait leadingto a
connection timeout that caused this(rather it is the end effect).
Can you give us a more detailed explanation? Is there a miscommunicationbetween
our DB(Sybase12) and WLS?Hi. It looks to you like it's after you get the connection, but really
    it's when the server is
gettng the pool connection. For performance/synchronization reasons we
    do a clever
delay: When your code asks for a pool connection we quickly give you
    the pool wrapper,
but we delay actually reserving the real underlying DBMS connection until
    your first
real need for a connection, at your first JDBC call, such as createStatement()
    etc.
It is while waiting for a pool connection long enough for the transaction
    coordinator
to have timed you out before you ever get a chance. It's nothing to do
    with the
DBMS or even JDBC, I believe. I think the weblogic server either has
    too few execute-threads
and/or too few CPU cycles to do the work load.
Okay, so there's a lazy initialization of the connection.
From reading our log I believe our failur is immediate rather
than waiting for 30+ seconds(the default setting) from the DB,
the timeout occurred later as a result. At the time either because the DB Server
    is very busy.
Since we are running WLS6.0 we have only one connection pool,
we have defined a max of 150 threads in the pool. While this
is happening the DB Server is being pinned by an overnight job,
but the WLS Server is not busy at all. The DB and WLS resides
    on different physical boxes.
We also have a thread dump from the WLS console when we rebooted the server, it
showed that we are hanging on to the thread & jdbc
connections after these exceptions has occurred instead of releasing them, note
    "16083"(~4.5 hours) seconds has passed:
    142 116222 Retry rollback request for tx: 'transaction=(IdHash=2963855,Name =
    [EJB UserManagerBeanImpl.signalICUserServletHeartBeat()],Xid=30643:8f3838f3709bf53d,Status=Rolling

    begin=16083,seconds left=10,ServerResourceInfo[weblogic.jdbc.jts.Connection]=(state=started,assigned=server),SCInfo[server]=(state=active),properties=({weblogic.jdbc=t3://159.55.158.25:8005,
    weblogic.transaction.name=[EJB UserManagerBeanImpl.signalICUserServletHeartBeat()]}))'
    Scheduled Trigger
So I would argue this problem actually chewed up resources on the WLS server.
