Fedex delivery iPod replacement

I've seen other posts by people complaining about this but I haven't found one with a solution so I'm starting a new discussion. FedEx tried to deliver my ipod replacement three times during the holidays while I was out of town. I called FedEx and they said they would try a fourth time but never did. Now FedEx says that it is pending recipient directions. Has anyone solved this problem and been able to change the delivery address? Who did you contact at Apple and/or FedEx? Thank you!

FedEx has a bad reputation delivering to residential addresses, at least in my area. They do not require a signature on delivery, unless the sender requests one. Apple usually does, which means that if no one is home, then FedEx won't just leave the package on your doorstep. Signature requirement is a good thing since FedEx normally doesn't require one and the reason FedEx has a bad reputation in my area is that they will just leave the package on the doorstep, not caring if it gets stolen, and also not helping you if it's delivered to the wrong address. (e.g.: "Yes, the driver said he delivered to the correct address." But my neighbor actually walked half a block to deliver the package to me. And since there's no signature "There's nothing more (that FedEx) can do for you, sir." )
When this happened to my cousin a few days ago, FexEx left a notice on the door with delivery options, one of which was to call the delivery office and pick up there. I do not know if that option is available in all areas.
All I can suggest is you call FedEx's and Apple's main customer support numbers and see what can be done. Have your order number and tracking numbers and whatever info available. If the status is that FedEx is waiting for instructions from the sender (Apple) because of an undeliverable address (i.e.: no one home) then you're probably going to have to tell Apple where to deliver to. Because of the poor delivery by FedEx to my area, if the sender forces me to use FedEx, I have my stuff sent to my work address, since the receptionist is willing to sign for me.

The ipod dock on my Ilive it188b stopped working and doesn't play or charge my compatible ipod which works on my other stereo. Everything else on the stereo works fine. I contacted the company and they would not sell me a replacement dock because of their agreement with Apple. How can I get an ipod replacement dock on my Ilive it188b or have it repaired? I have checked locally, and the electronics hospital reapair place will not work on it. Is my only option to try and sell it on craigslist or ebay?

ok so me and my mom were arguing for a couple of days about my ipod;
In december my home button broke and i went to itunes to get a replacement for $100,so they put me on a hold list to get a new one
But in April my friend smashed it and the whole screen is cracked but the ipod still works

Battery/iPod replacement help!

I have had my 4th generation ipod nano for over two years. Recently, my iPod had gotten to the point where it won't do anything (it's completely dead) unless it's hooked up to a continuous power source. If i take my ipod to a local apple store, can they look at my ipod there and do the ipod "replacement program" (i guess you could say) in-store? Or would i need to mail my ipod in with the $59??

You gotta figure in a few years, there will be 16g Nano's, making a 2 or 4g obsolete.
That said, if you can buy a $20 replacement battery, and are handy with a soldering iron, why not replace the Nano battery? I just replaced the battery in my Gen 1 Mini. $24, and I should get almost double the battery life. Took me 10 minutes.

I sent my ipod to get repaired because my screen was buggered, i sent it through the local post office (melbourne, australia) and was wondering when they send it back, are they going to send it directly to my address or do they send you something telling you to pick it back up from the post office?
also anyone who has gone through this process, can you tell me what comes next?

How can I change the fedex delivery date or address??

My replacement ipod nano is finally being delivered, but now nobody will be home to accept delivery. I called FedEx, but htey said I have to make the change through apple support.

Apple sent my MBP "signature required", unless you sign a small form they leave and allow "unattended".
I would hope even a nano requires a signature. Which means it will not be left unattended, and will eventually stop trying to delver but will be kept at a "FedEx" depot.

1st generation IPOD Replacement waiting on shipping container never arrived???

Back on Nov 13th I contact Apple to get my 1st Generation IPOD Nano replaced because there is a Recall on same. I provide all the required information and I was informed online that Apple would be sending me a packaging and instructions on how to return it. And there was a time limited that I would get this within 2 days it has been over 10 now and I have nothing yet. And there is no simple way to Contact them but to call them and now that it suggested I only have "10 Days" to return it I am wondering why there is limited time and after supplying Apple with all the required info including serial number I get an email the following day suggesting that it might cost me a fee just for them to check the IPOD to see if it is included in this Replacement / Recall. And because I have songs on it I had to copy them in case they do replace otherwise I would lose those I all ready purchased. And have not had the opportunity to call them they need a means to email them to contact them about this because I have gone through their support and there is no simple way to get info all I get is the automated telling me my service etc is expired but how if I never got the pack and shipping info to have the ability to return it?
Apperas no me they are putting a time limit to make sure they don't have to do anything because waiting on Apple is not what I thought I would be doing I bought an apple because of the "Name" but now I am truly getting Disappointed with this matter and Apple... Not what I expected from Apple...

I called apple and tried to find out what happened. Turns out everything was going smoothly until it reached their end. I tracked it with fedex and it said it was delivered to a city in california. The guy I was talking to said apple would get back to me in a couple of days, because they, "have to set up an investigation". It's been a week and 3 days. I'm a big apple fan, but this whole situation is really disappointing.

I received no 'You were out slips', and the interface provides no delivery address nor signature of the recipient who signed for it, so this could have been delivered to anyone!
I contacted UPS and they stated that i must contact the shipper to initiate a claim. I believe this to be the fault of UPS, but I need your help!

UPDATE: I've got my replacement iPod! UPS courier delivered it to the wrong address!
Since my last update; I was told by the Apple customer care advisor would launch an investigation with the shipper, and I should expect a phone call from them within the next few days. Instead of a phone call, I received an email to give them a call. I called them up, and they stated they'll reach to the courier to establish which property they left the item with. After returning home the next day, I find my iPod! Turns out the courier left it at the property across the road *fail*.

Can't receive iPod replacement

I was not home to sign for my replacement iPod and FedEx could not hold it at the store so it has since been returned. My attempts to e-mail Apple regarding my lack of replacement have been futile. Now what????

I'd make an appointment at your local apple store, have them check it out and see what they say. If they determine that it's a manufacturer's defect then they may replace it.
In case they do, I'd do a full sync and backup before you take it in.

Ipod replaced 3x -- could it be the computer?

The same thing has happened to my 20G clickwheel 3 times. First songs skip when they are playing, then Ipod freezes, I try resetting and then the folder wth ! pops up, can't turn it back on. My friend hooked up to my computer, and the same happened to him. I've just received my third replacement ipod and I want to avoid having this problem again. Any advice would be appreciated.

I just sent in an order for repair of my sons Ipod 20G for the second time. I have two additional Ipods on the same computer another 20G and a mini. They haven't had any problems at all. I don't understand how it could be the computer but anythings possible. Which means that eventually it will happen to the others. I spent $1000.00 on 3 Ipods alone and another $300.00 in acessories and repair service postage for this crap. Does yours click inside when you attempt to turn it on?
