FedEX Had My Iphones since Sept.1 and did not deliver it yet!

This is Super weird!
my FedEx tracking number says that they tried to deliver my iphones4 on Sept. 1st but they didn't even leave a delivery notice!
Since Then the phones have been held at their facility here in Montreal
I talked to FedEX they said that they have to contact apple before they attempt another delivery!!! !!!! !!!
What!!
I received so many FedEX packages before I never encountered such a problem!!
and why is it taking so long to contact apple?!

Sometimes I think sellers tell you that someone has to be there to sign just to encourage the buyer to take time off and wait for delivery. And I think maybe it's up to the delivery person to make the call as to whether to leave a package on a door step without getting a signature. ATT told me I had to be here to sign for the IP, but I don't remember if I actually signed or not. My guy usually drops stuff on the door step, rings the bell and then hoofs it back to his truck before I can get to the door.
Of course, it helps that I'm retired.

Activation Lock cannot be removed without the Apple ID & password of the account it is locked to.
Return it for a refund.

You are not going to be able to run your old system from the backup on this old computer as the hardware is incompatible.
You need to get a new computer or a refurbished one.

If you've wiped the device remotely then it is no longer associated.
You could also change the password for your Apple ID.

Have you confirmed that you successfull purged iTunes Match by also looking on an iOS device? If so, keep in mind that Apple's servers may be experiencing a heavy load right now. They just added about 19 countries to the service and I've read a few accounts this morning that suggests all's not running perfectly right now.

The warranty is not international and only available in the Country of purchase .If the iPhone is out of warranty Apple or their Agents will also only give service in the country of original purchase.
So if you want Apple help you will have to return it to Singapore or find a 3rd party to repair it if they can in India as long as it is out of warranty and you understand that Apple would never help with that device in future if it has been opened by a 3rd party

Or describe the problem fully in case we can help. "Having trouble with the Home button" doesn't give much of a clue....

There is generally a misundersting this area
there is no such thing as as a factory unlocked iPhone
there is an iPhone which has not been carrier lock as has
been available outside the US from day one
there is no evidence in OP that he purchased NOT locked from Apple

I really don't think that they have any interest in your data. They most likely plan on wiping the phone in order to sell it.
If they do restore from a backup, they would have to restore in Recovery Mode because it has a passcode on it. But that can't happen anyway because if they synced to a different iTunes library it would not have any of your backups.
