FedEx Integration & flat shipping rate

We have a client on the system wants to use Fedex integration but charge a flap shipping rate. I have not been able to locate and answer on the system. Is this possible?

Is anyone getting inaccurate FEDEX shipping rates generated, when integrating FEDEX?

My client's BC online store seems to be getting inaccurate FEDEX shipping rates at checkout. With very low margins, my client can not afford to lose money on shipping - and is understandingly very frustrated with the inaccurate shipping estimates. Some product shipping costs appear to be off by $35.
The FEDEX integration setup is correct.
Upon investigation at FEDEX, it seems to appear that the BC system may be sending metric measurements - and this is the cause of the incorrect shipping estimates. The BC store is setup to read measurements in inches, etc. (not metric)
Has anyone else encountered this? Is this an isolated situation? Any solutions? Suggestions? Any thoughts? All help appreciated. Thank you very much.

Why not call Apple and ask what they do with them when they are returned?
And, why not call your local FedEX, insist on speaking to the manager, relate all of your issues, and get them to make one more delivery?

How do I use shipping rate tables on my listing.

ok, really having a nightmare on this one. Explanations would be great guys I have set up a postage policy and I ticked the large/bulky package option. It says underneath specify your shipping in your item description as it removes any further options within the policy settings themselves. If I choose flat rate [same for all] I do get 2 tick boxes at the bottom for international and domestic rate tables so I tick them as that is waht I want to use but because I chose flat rate to get those 2 tick boxes it wants me to add a value which defeats the shipping rate tables really. Other option is self collection which again turns off all other options in the policy page. When I post my item I get the choice of choosing the policy which is set to large bulky packages etc.I can enter dimensions and a weight but the ebay help description suggests I should see the option to tick the rate tables which I do not get. It mentions I cna add more options from within the P&P heading section of the item listing but I do not get that option either. I have buyers which is great news but all of them are asking for me turn on the postage /sighI would love to but cannot get any options at all to tick postage rate table as the postage setting. I have set the tables up for both domestic and international. Any advice would be appreciated as I am pulling my hair out trying to work this out Cheers all.

And use METRIC measurements. Canada Post went metric in 1974 and every other measurement will be an estimate. The Calculated Shipping doesn't show you any tables. Instead it shows your customer how much postage is to his address. You can see this if you go to your listing->Shipping & Handling-> and then enter various destinations. It's automatic. You don't need any table. Certainly not in your listing. BDR-- Buyers Don't Read.Make the customer's job as easy as possible.

I would really appreciate any insights you are able to uncover. So far, my colleague has determined that we should be working with the FedEx Web Solutions Group and use the "Web Cafe" integration to SAP. Strangely though if I search for those keywords on Google it results in no relevant links.

How do you get shipping quotes from ups? Do you ever have
issues with ups never returning a shipping rate? If so, what did
you do to workaround this?

I can edit each item with a set weight. Actual shipping charges cost less for states that are close to CO and increase the further away you get. How do I know what my checkout/shipping options are if I create a new website through Dreamweaver?

Which shopping cart are you using? Most modern shopping carts have a back end admin area for setting up your shipping options, Zones, etc... If you know the weight and dimensions of your items, this should not be hard to set-up with USPS Priority or any other carrier. The users zip code will determine the shipping rates.

Integrating Flat File data to LDAP Directory using sunopsis driver

I need to import data from a csv file into a LDAP Directory.
In order to acheive this, i used Demo physical and logical File data server (called FILE_GENERIC) and set up a new LDAP data server using tutorial "Oracle Data Integrator Driver for LDAP - User's Manual".
I can manually see and update data on both file and LDAP datastores.
The fact is that i cannot manage to import/update data from the file to the LDAP directory through a dedicated interface.
The issue do, i think, come from the PK/FK used by sunopsis relational model to represent the directory.
LDAP DN is represented by a set of two table representing in my example the organizational units in one hand and the persons in the other hands, linking them through FK in persons to auto-generated PK in organization units. My person table also have a auto generated PK. All the directory datastore tables have been reversed through ODI.
In my interface, i always use my cn as update key.
I first tried not to map the person PK in the interface, letting the driver generating it for me (or mapping a null PK). I then catch in operator a message like: " null : java.sql.SQLException: Try to insert null into a non-nullable column".
Anyway, the first row is created in the directory and a new PK is given into ODI datastore. Curiously, this is not as i would presume the last PK value + 1.
There are some kinds of gaps in the ID sequences.
I even tried checking the "tolerated error" into the IKM step called "Insert new row". I'm using IKM shipped with ODI :"IKM SQL Incremental Update". The sequence is finished in operator but due, i guess, to the catched error, the other rows are not processed. (Anyway i shouldn't have to tolerate errors)
I tried after to put not used custom PK values into my file, then map the PK column to the LDAP datastore PK column without much success: Only one row is processed. Futhermore, the id of the PK in the datastore is different of the one I put in the file.
I finally tried to generate PK values through SQL instructions by creating new steps in the IKM modul but that did not worked much.
I really do not see any other ideas to either have the driver construct new PK at insert/update or to make him ignore the null PK problem and process all the rows.
If anyone do have an idea about it, please share...

using ODI 10.1.3.5, I can't insert new rows into my openLDAP.
One of the point I see is that the execution take the LDAP server for staging area and want to create I$ table into it, so the data are already imported into the ldap Server.

Multiple Flat bill rates in Projects

We have a requirement to capture and store multiple bill rates for an employee in a project and use one of those rates (based on time cards) to calculate revenue and invoice.
There is no logic or relationship between these rates. So we can’t use any multiplier or markup. They are just flat rates – rate1, rate2, rate3 etc..
So when employee enters time cards, he will chose that rate type (rate1 or rate2...) and our billing extension has to calculate based on that rate.
For this we need some place in project to store rates against the rate types for employees by project (because the rates for the employee may vary from project to project).
Please let me know if you have come across any such scenarios and how did you handle it.

You may consider utilizing the Rate Schedules form.
I assume there could be several projects, several employees and several rate types involved.
You could setup a separate schedule for each project and rate type. Within such schedule you can update the rates values per employee.
The name of the schedule could include a text indicating the rate type. You may enable a DFF attribute on the rate schedule header to hold the project number.

What can be a reason for that?

I've posted a lot of code here, including some fairly complex views I've created. I don't deserve the sarcasm.
The problem is that I have created some 'by-hand' procedures and scripts for use with UPS and I am now trying to adapt them to Fedex, but what I have in-process does not fully comply with SAP standards. I would be out of compliance with forum rules to post what I have so far.

I would like to set up a simple single product shipping scheme that goes like this: "Buy one and pay $2 shipping. Buy more than 1 and shipping is free". I cannot see how to set it up so that the "more than one" category isn't also chaged $2. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I am hoping somone in Australia has had this issue before....and has been able to resolve it!

This is a client of ours, who sells musical instruments. At the moment he has a flat shipping rate of $14.95 for all orders under $150 and free shipping for orders over $150.
Problem is he keeps getting stung, as customers in remote WA / NT keep ordering reasonably heavy items that cost a fortune to ship. One example was a lady that ordered 10 drums for $300 but the shipping to WA was over $500!
Does anyone have any ideas? He uses StarTrack as a courier, but BC doesn't support them as a shipping provider. Australia Post are too expensive to ship heavy items to remote place.

If you have a flat shipping rate you can add an additional Paypal field and have folks add it to their order. If you are looking to do a shipping charge based on a calculated field we don't currently support that. Specifically we don't support calculated fields in HTML forms.
