Feeback Form link

Good morning,
I created a feedback form and saw the link come up at the top of each page. I had some problems with the form so I deleted it and recreated it.
Now I have 2 links at the top of each of the forms in my application *(Welcome: UserName Logout Feedback Feedback)* and don't know how to remove one or even where to look to find the code for it.
I would appreciate any assistance that can be provided

Hello!
I can't provide you exactly where to look for it as I don't have any access to a workspace at this moment.
I think it is defined into a List ( navigation bar entry ). You can remove it there.

EHP5 - Dump in WD ABAP form link in Portal

Hi Experts,
EHP5 has been upgraded in Portal.
Now whenever we are clicking any WD ABAP form link in Team Dashboard we are getting the following dump------
'An exception occurred that was caught'.
When we debugged the WD ABAP code we found the error in 'runtime->execute()' in the standard mehod 'Handle_Request()
in the standard class 'CL_WDR_CLIENT_ABSTRACT_HTTP' .
When EHP4 was there we were not getting such error but after the upgrdation of EHP5 we are getting this kind of dump.
Can you please provide the solution to resolve such kind of dump in EHP5?

Does it crash when "arriving" at the method and trying to execute the implementation (bad parameters?) or does it crash with in the handle_request itself? If it crashes within the method, can you debug to the point where the dump actually occurs?

ORACLE EXPRESS: build a page with multiple forms linked to one table

hi,
im using oravle application express. APEX
i would like to build a page with multiple forms linked to one table (orders) , the page has 4 from each one with different order_id number (depending on filtering), and if the order is prepared click yes for each order and this 'YES' should be UPDATED AND SAVED to each order number in the same table with the press of one button.
i created all the form as (sql query)
and create one update process

i dont know really if i can do that, but it appear hat it actually saving according to order_id number , but not all the time some time it saved the value as "null".
please guide me what is the correct way to do this.

I am no Apex expert, but with a situation as "complex" as yours, have you thought about creating a VIEW that joins these 7/8 tables, placing an INSTEAD OF trigger on that view to do all the business logic in the database, and base your application on the view?
This is the "thick-database" approach that has been gaining momentum of late. The idea is to put your business logic in the database wherever possible, and let the application (Form, Apex, J2EE, whatever) concentrate on UI issues,

Why can I not open the web form link in ms outlook

I copied a link to my web form to ms outlook recipients. They cannot open the link.

Are all the recipients using Outlook? Which version? Can they open any other web links from Outlook? Could you send me a copy of the form link to [email protected]?

Why does the form link show up in 2 pages, but when I save the form as PDF it comes up as 3 pages?

A few weeks ago, I asked the above question on why the form link shows up in 2 pages, but when the form is saved as PDF it comes up as 3 pages.
The answer I received was that I can simply select the page break and hit "delete" button or click on the trash can icon at the top right corner.
I tried to do this but, there is NO OPTION to select the page break and hit delete….
I want to combine the page on my PDF because the header takes up one entire page.
How can I do this? Can someone please help or walk me through this live?

Unable to open form links from ie7

Hi,
apps:11.5.10.2
db: 11gR2
os:win2003
After database was upgraded to 11gr2, couple accounting department desktops (xp sp3 ) could not open SOME forms from ie7,
there was NO problem before upgrade.
1. Some forms can be opened and other can not be open after click. Turned on client java debug, trace option, nothing show up there after click
a form link. There are bunch of msg with working forms.
2. No errors I can find in apache access_log and error_log from these desktop IP.
3. I tried install newest version of Firefox on the desktop, it works beautiful and sleek.
4. I tried from other xp desktops, it works fine.
5. I tried from my laptop (win7+ie9), it works fine.
I did check out Deploying Sun JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 393931.1]
look for "Forms Launch Issues", no luck.
It got be something special on these two desktops, I have tried to clean ie cache, java cache, or even remove application data -sun folder, etc.
any body can help me or give me some hints?
I can turn on apache debug option on server to figure out what it is wrong (may be), but I would like a quick answer from anybody
has similar issue.

There were something wrong with IE7 and Java JRE. The javaScript:Launchform under the links just would not launch jre and in turn to launch form. It was strange that some links
worked and some don't, after cleaned up IE cache, cookies, etc., the links that did not work before then worked and the ones that worked become not working. I restored the
whole XP box and IE7, then it works fine now.
I have another desktop has the similar problem, I removed and restored SP3 (XP) and IE7 instead of restore the whole box, it works fine.
IE is getting sucks, I have tried FF and Chrome on the same box, they were all worked great but IE7. I have tried many tricks I can found on IE7 and Java, none helps.

Oracle portal forms, links, reports relation table

I have an oracle portal form.this is has been used by portal Link and this link has been used in portal report.
Present I know only portal Form name but no idea about which link uses and which report uses this link..
Is there any way I can find out the portal links and reports names based on form name which I know..Please help me with this..
I am under impression that, there may be some portal system table/view which will have dependcies of all the forms ,links and reports information...
Please let me know system table name.I couldn't search in metalink since I don't have access

Identity Management and SSO are not installed, why they are used for?IDM and SSO is used for user authentication.

Try running default Forms port WLS_FORMS_PORT that will be 9001
or check for the WLS_FORMS_PORT in the portlist.ini file.
Also are you getting any exception in the Java console.?

I am new-ish to apex and have just taken on the maintenance of an application.
One page of the application has a form link where you can add rows to a little table.
All i can see in the page definition is a reference to the form link but i cant see where it is linked to or where it is getting any of its information from.
The Add Row button in the form link isnt working, it wont add a row :)
any ideas?

Not much to go on, but...
What is the "link"? Is it a button? Is it an "A" tag? Is it a column in a report?
If it is a button, there should either be a URL defined on the button or the button should trigger a Branch that is defined on the page.
If it is a URL, then the syntax for that is: f?p=App:Page:Session:Request:Debug:ClearCache:itemNames:itemValues:PrinterFriendly
So, the second parameter, "Page", will tell you where the link is pointing to.
If it is a button that triggers a branch, the branch will tell you the page that the user will be directed to.
If it is a column in a report, the "Link" settings for the Column Attributes for that column will show you either the URL or the page

The dedicated link has a quite complicated address, not easily added to brochures to hand out. Is there a way to customize the web form link in Adobe FormsCentral?

It cannot be customized. The workaround is to create your own web page and embed our form into it. That way they only see your URL.

Form link does not appear in email notification.

Form link does not appear in email notification
We have added a custom notification to the OM workflow process. The notification itself has a form attribute which provides a link to the sales order form. This works fine when notification is viewed via worklist - notifications within apps. The link does not appear in the email notification.
Is there any alternate way to provide a form link to Oracle Applications form that can be accessed via email (after logging into application, if the user is not logged in).

Similar functionality is available in PO and Req Approval process. Can you take a look at the PO Approval Process workflow? I remember the email notification does show the link, which is a URL link and has parameters in it. This functonality provides where the approvers need to modify the document which is requested to be approved. So they can click on the link, modify and close and approve if necessary.
Are you expecting them to modify the same or you just want to show query only screen?
There is a webpage available to see order information called Order Information (user Order Information User resp). You can send parameters to that webpage and that should show login page opening up a seperate session with all the parameters in the URL. Once logged in that should show order information.

'success.gif' and 'Back to form' Link.

we created a form which calls a stored procedure on submission. The procedure
does a few selects and displays the results in a colored table, similar to the
Oracle eMail Server Calendar, as HTML-page using the htp.* tags. The problem
now is that at the very bottom of the page there is always the success icon and
'Back to form' link visible. How can we get rid of this behaviour?

Can i customize a form link for printed material so it is easier for the consumer to find?

I would like to change my form link address to something easier to remember for print material.

We don't provide a way to customize the link to the form. However, you can embed our form into your web page and distribute the URL of your web page. That way no one ever sees our URL.

Adobe Reader won't open automatically when clicking on online form link

I created a form in LiveCycle Designer, reader-enabled it, and then it was uploaded to a university website for students to access to apply for graduation from an advanced degree program. However, when students click the link, the dreaded "Please wait...If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document. [...]" appears. In the top right corner of the browser, a little button that says "Open with different viewer" is also displayed, which has to be pressed and then Adobe Reader has to be manually selected to open the form...the problem is that students are not aware of the button in the corner and simply believe the form is not working properly. To avoid the many frantic student calls as they get the "error" message, I was wondering if there is a way to upload a form to default to the Adobe Reader, without having to set this on every machine individually. I don't know much about the website portion of this project, so any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. If this is something that could be set on the form end itself (although I am not sure how you would), please also let me know. I have attached the screen shots with the first error message and the button in the top right and the selection for the viewer that comes up after pressing the button (once you select the reader in this step, it opens just fine). If there is any additional information I should provide to solve this problem, just let me know.

You are using either the built-in Mozilla PDF Viewer or the built-in Chrome PDF VIewer and have a LiveCycle Designer XFA form being viewed. You need to configure the web browser accordingly.
XFA-based PDF forms on Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome
There are are probably registry entries available for setting this up in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry hive for both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, but I don't know them and have not seen them posted on any vendor site. Then again, I haven't looked either.

XML Form - Link open in Portal Content Area

I have created an XML form which displays a list of images as links to KM documents (eg a Read More... link).
The problem I have run into is that any link that you click on opens up in a new window.
Is there a setting somewhere that indicates that all links should be opened in the portal content area, rather than in a new window?

You can try doing this.
Logon to Portal.
Click Personalize option on the top left corner and choose work protect mode.
Choose "Discard unsaved data (open page in same window)"
Save and Exit.
Logoff and relogin and check.

UDf Does not get value form link table

i have created a UDF in marketing document grid area and linked the udf with a user defind table. When i click on the Udf column it show the value list of user table but does not return selected value in column.

Yes, I telling you that its not possible to bind a UDF of system form to a UDT.
its default table will be table of the system form.
If you want to add the data to your UDT, then you can do it by following process:
on the item press event of the add button anhd Action Success==true(i.e. after B1 add its data) you can Add/Update your table.
