"Error parsing feed: Invalid XML: Error on line 1: Content is not allowed in prolog."
Any suggustions

Always validate first, then you can try subscribing to your feed manually in iTunes. Go to the Advanced menu and choose "Subscribe to Podcast..." Then enter in the same URL that you are submitting to iTunes. See what happens. Mike

  • Smart feed not working correctly

    hello,
the smart feed are not working correctly in this course page :
    https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/BrowsePrivately/upmc.fr.2857894925. 02857894930
    Modified=01ca6e794f33e660
    I don't understand why...

C, sorry…I read your posts out of order. I see that you have links to your smart groups after all. My apologies.
It's as you say, the course pages load up, but I don't see anything in the smart groups. Just thinking out loud here…maybe the search criteria don't genuinely match anything on your site? Perhaps there are actual matches, but you've hidden content with a new credential?…I accessed both pages using the "Unauthenticated" and "All" credentials. My last/craziest guess is that it has something to do with localization…français versus anglais?

  • Feed Not Working -- file problems?

Hello, I am having some problems with my feed downloading. I had it working a while ago, but then I've deleted my only episode and started anew.
I've checked with feedvalidator and it's ok... but I don't understand why it's not working now. I thought it might be file format related, but it's a .mp4 file, which according to the specs page, should be supported.
    http://feeds.feedburner.com/CrapAttack
    Is there something I'm missing?

The episode is not listed as a podcast file; that is, it's not in an <enclosure> tag, which means that it's not technically a podcast. If you're using Feedburner, it should just be a matter of clicking the "is a podcast" switch in Feedburner or otherwise troubleshooting there.
    Good luck--

  • RSS feed not working correctly

I have several RSS feeds and have for a while. All of a sudden, one feed (NYT Travel) started coming into my InBox as well as into its RSS box. If I delete the article from INBox, it's deleted from the RSS box. Same in reverse. However, I can't move them from InBox to RSS box and they're clogging my InBox. Other feeds are working fine. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I had the same problem. I didn't knowingly do anything. In the past when that happens the whole thing moves up to the inbox & I can click on the down arrow that shows up next to it. Not the case this time.
    To fix it do this:
Right click on the RSS feed in the left column. There is a popup menu that gives you the option to "View in inbox" which probably got turned on, uncheck it.

  • RSS feeds not working in Mail

    Hello Everyone,
My RSS feeds stopped working on April 12th. Two of them have given me feeds today but nothing from yesterday or the day before or the day before that. Very strange. I've tried quitting Mail, restarting my computer, control clicking on the individual feeds and folders and clicking update all feeds and the specific feeds. Any other tips?
    Thank you very much!

Not sure if this counts as 'fixing' the problem; but here's what I did:
    * Moved ~Library/Mail to someplace else (I picked my desktop)
    * Open mail.
    * Watch as .Mac pulls in the configuration that was synced to .Mac.
    * Wait to download new mail (IMAP headers)
I did have to manually copy the mail rules .plist, but other than that, things seem to be working as I want them to.
    Somehow, RSS started working.

  • Paper feed not working

Hello, Below are the sequence of events that happened and the problem I am facing: 1. I was able to use my HP 3510 printer print a page even 30 minutes ago. 2. After that, I tried scanning a page. The scanner got stuck many times. I opened the top lid of the printer and saw the scanner bar (I don't know how else to describe it) stuck in the middle. I restarted the printer and my computer and finally, after 6-7 retries, I was able to scan a page. Scanner has been working perfectly ever since. 3. After the scan was completed, I tried printing another page. The page feeder did not work. It showed me a "Out of paper. Load paper into the tray" message. I tried printing again by putting the page in more securely in the page feeder section but it showed the error again. I tried noticing what was happening and here is what I found out: a. The page was getting pulled into the printer. b. After the initial pull, the page stops once and the printer tries to pull in the paper again. But this time the paper gets pushed back out. When I look at the page, the top middle part (the end which was going into the printer first), is all crooked. ONLY the top middle part is crooked and the rest of the paper edge is the same. Every time I try to print a page, the same thing happens. The page is pulled in and then the print pushes it back the way the page came in and shows the "Out of paper" error.  What can I do to fix this issue? Thanks.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are running into some paper feed issues with your HP Deskjet 3510. Thank you for the detailed information. I would like you to go ahead and start troubleshooting here: HP Deskjet 3510 and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3510 e-All-in-One Printer Series - An 'Out of Paper' Error Message Displays on the Control Panel and the Printer Does Not Pick Up Paper Follow all steps listed above, focusing on the cleaning of the papers rollers. Let me know the outcome, I will watch for your reply. Thanks,

  • Document feeder not working on new 8610

The document feeder does not work on my new Hp Officejet Pro 8610.   This is the first time I have tried it since we purchased it.   (The copying function itself works with regard to an original placed on the glass by hand.)  On sliding paper into the document feeder, there is a "ding ding" and the display panel lights.   If I try to scan, I get a message "Scanner lid or document feeder open" and it will not feed in the sheet of paper. If I try to copy, I get the same message (although first it produced one blank piece of paper).

Hello , and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! I see you're having issues regarding your paper feed.  I'd like to help! I would recommend removing the ink cartridges from the printer, and perform a power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar. I would also suggest plugging the printer power into a different wall outlet. Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • RSS feed not working properly.

    Site is http://www.shatteredthought.com
The site redirects to a subdomain http://www.shatteredthought.freeservers.com
When I went to publish to a folder, I did stated the path should be http://www.shatteredthought.freeservers.com and not the correct domain, but the RSS feeds are not working still.
    Has anyone experienced this?
They had worked before, I have tried republishing the page twice with the same result.
Tried as well under domain, http://www.shatteredthought.com as well as subdomain with same result. Feed failed to load. It was working prior to this. I looked at the XML code and it all appears fine to me.
    Any help would be appreciated

  • Help Please, RSS Feed Not Working! :(

    Hello there,
I'm having a hard time getting my RSS feed to work correctly with subscribers and am at my wits end. I cannot seem to wrap my head around it.
I (ideally) wanted to get both MP3 and M4A file formats working to please both crowds or subscribers. So the iTunes subscribers can subscribe to the M4As and the other listners can subscribe to the MP3s.
Anyway, I deleted and recreated the feed on feedburner here, but it's still not resolving. I've deleted the feed countless times, reinstalled iTunes, and tried it on 4 different computers, and even had other people
Any ideas why iTunes will not resolve the feed? If you look at the main page the files play correctly and without issue via the flash player.

  • RSS feeds not working.

So somehow my rss feeds stopped working. This happens for all my rss feeds (about 9) except for 2. Also one web isn't working for me either it's just stuck at the 3rd of october update... When I use a proxy the web page does work so I'm guessing the problem is there. I should clarify that I do have other mac's and pc's in the house and they are working fine, so I don't think this is a problem by my ISP. Any suggestions?? Thanks

Might give a try with Applejack...
    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/19596
After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
    applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
    Correct any Disk problems.
    Repair Permissions.
    Clear out Cache Files.
    Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
As long as you don't have a USB connection in tandem with a UPS, which can cause problems.

  • Podcast feed not working in iTunes

    Hi there,
I am trying to get a podcast feed for a client set up to work in iTunes. About the setup:
This is a self-hosted wordpress site, using the feedburner/SmartCast to create iTunes-friendly feeds. The site does use HTTPS as parts of it handle credit card processing.
Here is the feed XML (Chrome): view-source:http://feeds.feedburner.com/UnderTenFitness
Here is the feed link: http://feeds.feedburner.com/UnderTenFitness
The feed validates at http://castfeedvalidator.com/ and http://validator.w3.org/. Other podcast services pick it up just fine. Just iTunes. I've tried testing it by manually subscribing to it in iTunes, and the episodes/meta load fine, but the audio files neither play nor download. I also can't seem to find any kind of error message to describe what the hold up seems to be - just the ! next to the episode. I can briefly see a window that says "Connecting" but it dies right away.
Any insight into what's going wrong here would be much appreciated. I've added MIME types to the server for MP3 files, about to change the main icon from PNG to JPEG on some random recommendation that sometimes iTunes doesn't like PNG files.
    I've also tried:
taking the media link outside the audio player shortcode and just putting it in as href
using both http:// and https:// for the media link
I'm sure I've missed something basic here - but my experience with podcasting prior to this project was "I like to listen to them." So any suggestions appreciated.
    Regards,
    Hannah

The problem lies with the media files rather than the feed. The URL given for your top media file is
    http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/UnderTenFitness/~5/cn0Ui9M2FyI/2015-01-27-Psorias is-Natural-Remedies.mp3
    This redirects to
    https://www.undertenfitness.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/2015-01-27-Psoriasis- Natural-Remedies.mp3
The first URL works when you enter it in a browser, but on subscribing iTunes refuses to play it. These redirects using Feedproxy can cause problems, though they don't always, and frankly I would advise avoiding its use and providing a direct URL to the media file. Furthermore the URL for the actual file begins with https (secure connection) and this is also asking for trouble. Sometimes it works, but it's better avoided. Just removing the 's' so that it's http works with some servers but it appears not to hear. So you need to look into the matter of hosting your media files.

  • Laserjet 4 with 600 sheet ad on feeder not working. Springs or rollers?

I have a Laserjet 4 that is the closest thing to a bomb proof printer.  It's slow and old, but just demands toner, rare roller replacement, and cleaning.
I bought a 600 sheet feeder off of Ebay that the printer sits on top of.  It worked for two years, but now I get paper jams when the printer tries to suck a sheet out of it.  The printer works fine sucking out of the tray built into the printer.  It's as if the sheet is not getting into the printer from the 600 sheet feeder.
Can someone tell me what rollers need replacing, or is it the spring that holds up the paper in the tray?  How can I find out what parts I need?
HP support has not been helpful.
    Thanks

This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!
You can find the Commercial Laserjet board here:

  • Providor Based Feeds Not Working

I have a rss feed I am using in iTunes U. It worked fine before the public site manager migration, but now it no longer works - and it spits back 404 errors when trying to get the files.
If I add the same podcast url directly to iTunes, everything works fine - it just refuses to work through iTunes U.
The podcasts I'm having trouble with are:

    Hi Duke,
I can reproduce the issue on one other TechNet feeds, but not yours... I have the same configuration as you..win8.1
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/u/activities/feed?displayName=thumbd%D0%BEwn
As a guess.... (I have been doing software testing and frequently changing language and date/time settings in windows
8.1 without rebooting)...please try checking your current language and date and time preferences and then rebooting (shutdown then start, not the restart). I have one language pack installed but several language choices.
Incorrect date/time settings or local preferences may explain also the missing Frequent links from the new tabs page.

  • Nokia n97 web feeds not working even after v12

It just says to me that the feed is invalid. Is there a workaround? The feeds worked a month ago or so, but some update has broken them.I'd rather not do a hard reset at this point again.

Have been experiencing problems with the web feeds (used to work without any probs) and hoped that the new firmware update (V2.1) would fix things. I'm getting "Unable to open feed" messages.
Tried deleting and re-entering the old feeds from the PC, then N97, but still same problem.
Checked Web Feeds in Settings and it's set properly to my T-mo Internet access point.
Anything you think I should check? I really don't want to do another hard reset, but at a last resort, I will.
    Thanks, all!

  • Why is the feed not working?

    Hey Everyone...
Can't figure this one out, my feed isn't working and its telling me that the files aren't there - but i know they are.
This is my first podcast feed, so can someone point out what i have done wrong?
    here is the feed: http://www.thewakeplace.com/TWPPodcasts.xml
    Thanks!

FeedValidator flags up several errors which prevent you feed from validating:
    http://www.feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thewakeplace.com%2FT WPPodcasts.xml
In particular you have spaces in your media filenames, which is not allowed. You need to replace them with, for example, underscore and alter the xml file accordingly, or at the least replace the spaces in the feed with '%20" - and in any case:
    http://thewakeplace.com/Podcasts/Video/features/Feature%20#1%20-%20Addison%20Ree d.m4v
(this URL will take some seconds to load while the site fetches and validates the file)
does not lead to a file. You should not have the # sign in the URL, so that may be why.
The entry for 'Trick of the Day #9' - the file referred to does not have an extension.
Some of your <guid> tags are duplicated - they need to be unique.
Also, <pubDate>Fri, 08 Oct 2008 12:40:00 EST</pubDate> = 8th October was a Wednesday, and this error also invalidates the file.
