  • Where can I post requests for future versions of Acrobat?

    I have a number of things that I think should be improved for future versions of all adobe products (the overprint button in Acrobat for example) and am sure I have seen an area for this. Can anyone help me out here?

  • Multifox fix for future versions of FireFox?

    After a FF upgrade (from maybe version 17 or 19 to version 22 I think, I'm a little late in complaining about this), the Multifox functionality stopped working. Now, when one tries to open a new identity profile (enabling multiple Yahoo or Gmail accounts to be open at the same time), there's an error message:
    "Multifox is not available from private windows. Please try again from a regular window."
    I was previously able to "privately browse" by turning off the history, etc., and this had no bearing on my ability to open a new identity profile window. Are there plans to restore this? I don't ever store history, but I'd like to see multiple e-mail accounts simultaneously. It's really a shame that this got "fixed".

    Aha! I never thought to turn off history through the "Use custom settings" options rather than simply using "Never remember history".
    Going that route allows Multifox to function again.
    I agree that add-ons are the responsibility of the developers, but sometimes asking firefox experts is the key to resolving certain problems. Thanks for your help.

    I have an idea for a feature I'd like to see for iPod/iTunes. How can I contact the people who might be interested?

  • Wishlist for future versions

    As it stands now, I don't know how many other locations I'm signed into skype.  I don't know if someone has compromised my password, they are signed in at some other location and they are able to watch my chat.  I would like to be able to know how many other locations I'm signed into and I would like the ability to sign out all locations except the only I'm currently at.

    On a whim I decided to go back and check my e-mails again. It turns out that I was mistaken, and I did receive a notice that the topic was removed.
    I missed the notice originally because I wasn't accustomed to the different From and Subject content. Looks like I scan my messages too quick!
    While I do think these sort of topics should be allowed (or at least, they should have their own space alongside the other Dicussions), I have taken this opportunity to review the Terms of Use and I realize that my topic was in violation. I apologize for the mistake.
    Take care, and brush up on those Terms, everybody.

  • Suggestion for future version

    Steinberg's Cubase has a wonderful feature...
    "Save project to new folder" which saves everything you need.... the audio media and project files and connections, etc.
    If only Final Cut had this feature I could save my projects and clear my working drives. Then if I need to work on that project again just copy the one folder and open it up.
    Right now I have three FC projects taking up three large drives and no idea which files to try to save. There are capture scratch and render files on all three drives. I realize this was poor project planning from the start but when the capture scratch/ render files fill up one drive they just spill over to the next.
    MS

    In all fairness Media Manager sort of works like the "save project to new folder" function in Cubase. (Now simply called "Back Up Project" in CB5)
    But,
    I'm also coming from an audio background and was astonished to find the file management in FCP (and other NLEs) to be shockingly inadequate.
    Steinberg's file management also let's you:
    *Copy imported files to your projects media folder OR leave them in their original location*
    *Export a clip directly back into the project*
    *Destructive style renders (There's a time & place for them)*
    *Do processing on an entire track - rather than render clip by clip*
    *AND - of course PROJECT BASED MEDIA MANAGEMENT!*
    But keep in mind that Media Manager didn't even exist a few years ago. So things are moving in the right direction.

  • Pricing for future Photoshop versions

    I know that Adobe is charging a monthly fee for Photoshop Extended users for future versions.  However, I think [hope] this is for mobile device users only.  I've been using non-extended versions of Photoshop since CS3 and will not pay the monthly charge for any future versions.  Will future versions have the same upgrade pricing as in the past or are all future Photoshop versions on the monthly pricing scheme only now?
    Don

    But you can make a pretty good guess, given what we can already see...
    As PECourtejoie has said, the first release to support subscription based licensing (CS5.5) still does offer the ability to buy a license, with upgrade pricing for users of prior versions.
    The original poster was apparently under the misconception that the subscription license is the only one available now.

  • Is IWebBrowser2 will work in future version of Windows?

    I read from many news website that Microsoft is going to discontinue Internet Explorer for future version of Windows (after Windows 10) and will be replaced by
    Spartan web browser.
    My question is how IWebBrowser2 behavior in future version of Windows when
    IE not installed? ... (is IWebBrowser2 will not work, or Spartan will replace the IE functionality in IWebBrowser2 ?)

    Quote a Microsoft source supporting you claim. If you don't have one, we can't comment on speculations.

  • Adding ability to use ref cursors in future versions of Apex

    Currently it has been documented that Apex does not play well with ref cursors and how to get around that. Is this a feature that the Apex team is looking into for future versions? Currently we are using Oracle 11g and 1 g with Apex 4.0.2. Your reply is most appreciated.
    JudJasRis

    Hi Tony Miller,
    Thank you for the prompt reply. I see your name in many of the replies in this Apex forum.
    We currently have several package functions that use out ref cursors. We are looking to use the result of that ref cursor for our reports. We have found a way to get around the ref cursor by creating a table collection of the row type and return it in a specific function declaration in a pipelined function. I am fairly new to creating pkgs, functions and specifically pipeline functions as well as learning the many nooks and crannies of Apex. It would be nice to be able to call a predefined ref cursor within Apex. I was just curious if that was a feature that could be developed. Please excuse my lack of knowledge, I am learning though by asking these type of questions.
    Again thank you.

  • Is FF V17 update compatable with Mac os x 10.6.8 and where can i find this info for future updates?

    I got caught out once after an upgrade on a previous vers of Mac OS X when FF ceased to work so don't want to make the same mistake!

    hello Caznco, yes firefox 17 is compatible with your OS - you can refer to www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/17.0/system-requirements/ (for future versions you'd have to exchange the version number in the url).

  • E71 Feedback and Wish list for future development

    Hi Nokia and Nokia Fans.
    E71 is a masterpiece but I believe there's much room for improvement. My E71 is indispensable to me. I wish Nokia will strive to thrive the E series and in particular the E71.
    Here's my wish list / features to add:
    1. A Task Manager for Symbian that's Nokia naively developed is absolutely essential as it's required to manage all aspects of applications, processes and threads, especially the misbehaving ones.
    2. Use better GPS Chipset with better sensitivity as the current one is really slackly.
    3. High-Speed WiFi connection to access and manage the phone including the mass storage instead of fiddling with wires.
    4. Secure zone for creating password-protected notes/memos/etc, previously called "wallet".
    5. Add SMS "Listen" feature for sent messages.
    6. Add "Timed" Profiles.
    My feedback / Issues to fix:
    1. "Memory card in use" Error. Despite proper removal of USB connection when using PC Suite or Mass Storage data transfer.
    2. Configure to display "Firstname Lastname" format .
    3. Configure Date display to American format (Wednesday December 03 2008).
    4. Save current "configurations and user preferences" for future deployment after firmware upgrade or maintenance routine.
    5. When receiving a Bluetooth message with (.sis or .sisx) attachment, provide save to memory card option rather than launching installtion process.
    6. Setting up "WPA2 Only" mode on WLAN Security Settings for a particular Access Point will not allow communication despite the access point router/gateway is configured to work on this particular mode.
    7. Camera is another isssue. Fix color fidelity and picture clarity issues.
    Thanks
    .......To be revised as needed.

    Nice wishlist, willing to front up the extra cash to have these features? Got to remember that until these feature become more common they will stay as premium items and that you need to pay the extra money or move to a higher priced plan for them. Getting something like device locks would be great though but then what would device locks do for a customer base? and they do have the data encryption built in....
    I would like to see a 16:9 aspect ratio in the next version of the phone myself. A holster pouch w/ belt clip rather than looking for and buying an ill fitting pouch cos I really don't like the pouch it comes with and cant find a nice one. The ability to have more than just the plain 6 applications on the screen, it used to scroll if I remember correctly in the older ones. The ability to skip music tracks when pressing volume up or down. 3.5mm audio jack. Time and date or at least time shown on the top strip of the display when going through the menu (there are a number of time I want to know the time and have to program juggle to find out what it is. More symbols on the other keys rather than just on the right hand side, I do have 2 thumbs available to use and fairly dexterous with either hand.
    Less "download - **bleep**" in the web menu it takes me to a link with useless stuff on it.....
    That GPS chip needs to be replaced, it has me walking down the road or in my neighbours house when I'm just lying in my lounge.
    This wish is for all Nokia Symbian devices, I would love to see a Nokia App store. I'm sure it'll come around once they get the symbian foundation off the ground but i'm impatient and a lil lazy and haven't always got the time to find an application for something I have thought up. Blackberry and Apple have got something of a centralised store up and running, C'mon Nokia! Get a move on!

  • How to properly build a grouped ListView for Win 8.1 and future versions?

    Hi,
    I am porting a Windows Phone 8 app to Windows 8.1 and trying to create a grouped list of items using a ListView. After several hours of trying and reading the ListView documentation I am totally confused and still have no idea of how to correctly use the
    ListView.
    Of course I found a lot of descriptions of how to style a ListView but it seems that ListView was heavily changed in Windows 8.1 and most examples refer to Win 8.0. Styles that worked in 8.0 can lead to crashes in 8.1.
    The ListView has an ItemPanel, an ItemTemplate, a GroupStyle... The GroupStyle uses a HeaderTemplate, a Panel, a ContainerStyle, etc... ContainerStyle is honered in Win 8.0 but not in Win 8.1 if ItemPanel is an ItemsStackPanel... Also ContainerStyle will
    not be supported in future versions, etc... What...?
    I would like to style the ListView like this:
    Problem 1:
    How to stretch the Header over the complete width. The solution I found was to alter the default GroupStyle.ContainerStyle to stretch the HorizontalContentAlignment of the HeaderContent instead of using the default left align. Workes fine, but the
    docu says:
    "[ContainerStyle may
    be altered or unavailable for releases after Windows 8.1 and is not supported for
    ItemsControl.GroupStyle.]"
    So, how to stretch the header without using ContainerStyle?
    Problem 2:
    How to add a footer to the group?

    I have the same problem and have tried the stuff above. When I edit the xaml code the GroupHeader expands to the width of the ListView. But when I compile
    the code it collapses to almost 1 pixel in width (it looks like that), beginning to be a bit frustrated :-(
    Here is my listview xaml code:
            <ListView
    x:Name="MainListView"
     Grid.Row="1"
     Margin="10,10,10,0"
     ItemTemplateSelector="{StaticResource
    MinTemplateSelector}"
     ItemsSource="{Binding
    Source={StaticResource
    GroupedData}}" >
    <ListView.ItemContainerStyle>
    <Style
    TargetType="ListViewItem">
    <Setter
    Property="HorizontalContentAlignment" Value="Stretch"/>
    </Style>
    </ListView.ItemContainerStyle>
    <ListView.ItemsPanel>
                    <ItemsPanelTemplate>
    <VirtualizingStackPanel
    />
    </ItemsPanelTemplate>
    </ListView.ItemsPanel>
    <ListView.GroupStyle>
    <GroupStyle>
    <GroupStyle.HeaderTemplate>
    <DataTemplate>
    <Grid
    Height="70"
     Background="#FF662485"
    Margin="0"
     Width="{Binding
    ActualWidth,
     ElementName=MainListView,
    Mode=OneWay}">
    <TextBlock
    Text="{Binding
    GroupName}"
     FontFamily="Segoe UI Light"
           FontWeight="ExtraLight"
     FontSize="26.667"
    Margin="9,0,20,0"
     HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"
     VerticalAlignment="Center"
     TextTrimming="WordEllipsis"
    Foreground="White"/>
    </Grid>
    </DataTemplate>
    </GroupStyle.HeaderTemplate>
    </GroupStyle>
    </ListView.GroupStyle>
    </ListView>
    Any ides why it goes wrong ?
    /Mads
