Not sure if you've had time to check out the Ideas Bank yet? There's an idea about having an area for content suggestions for On Demand. Thanks for the feedback. We look for feedback from other community members on those ideas in the ideas bank before responding to all. The status will then be updated as more views are gathered, or over a period of time.
Re: the banner advertising the Ideas Bank, i'll take a closer look at this, this info does get reviewed and updated periodically and it may be time for a change here.

The 4.0.1 and 5.0 are two separate versions as installing 4.0.1 over 5.0 will just give you the old 4.0.1 as the end result.
The 5.0 is partially as a security update in place of 4.0.2.
The Skype extension was only for to make it so you can dial phone numbers on a web page in the separate Skype program right so if you were not using it then no need for the Skype extension for the separate Skype application to work.

It mentions an IDE. Do I need to have an IDE to help write my java programs?
If yes, Is the IDE free to download to use?
Is the Sun One Studio, the IDE , needed to write programs for Java 2 SDK , Standard Edition v 1.4 ?

Please reply soon.You don't need an IDE to develop Java programs. An IDE is a big complex program and may stand in your way when you're just starting out. What you really need is a text editor. A Java program is just a text stored in a file, so the ability to modify a text in a file is what you basically need.
Read the "First cup of Java" instruction from Sun. When "Hello World" is written on your screen and you know why it's time to consider an IDE. Good luck!

Vendor needs to be debited with Bank Charges along with payment amount

Hi,
I am paying advance to vendor. Vendor needs to be paid Rs.10000.
I am incurring Rs.100 as DD Charges which needs to be debited to Vendor. So my actual outflow from bank will be Rs.9900.
At present entry posted:
In F-48, when i tried to pass entry for the same by entering amount in bank charges field, entry got passed was:
Vendor A/c Dr... 9900
Bank Charges A/c Dr... 100
To Bank A/c..... 10000
But entry is required to posted is:
Vendor A/c... Dr 10000
To BAnk A/c... 9900
To Bank Charges A/c... 100
NOTE: I DO NOT WANT TO PASS F-65 FOR VENDOR DEBIT
Let me know how the above required entry will come.

Hi
For your requirement you need to pass entry of bank charges using posting Key.
In F-48 enter the value for which vendor is to be debited and then simulate the document. Now click on button "Additional Items", posting key will appear in the bottom. Credit the Bank charges GL code through posting key 50.

It seems extremely bad form on apples part not to support this or make it very clear of the products limitations at the time of purchase.

Well, my bank has an app but the website does not use Flash or Java. While my credit union doesn't have an app, their website doesn't require Flash or Java either.
I pay all my bills online, bank, and access my brokerage accounts. None of the sites I have encountered require Flash or Java. Some government sites do require Flash so I use Photon, it's a browser that does Flash content very well. So you might check out some alternatives browsers.
Otherwise I suppose you will either dump you bank, your iPad, or just not do online banking.

Need help- have no idea how to install original airport on G3 Powerbook

I just bought an ornignal airport card on ebay. I have no idea how to install it (i think it goes under the keyboard, but specifically where?) also, it didn't come with any software...do I need some kind of driver? I am so confused. All I know is that I spent over $100 for this thing and would love it if I could get it to work. Really want to go wireless...can anyone please help. (already checked all over the support page and called apple and asked them to point me in the right direction, but have gotten no where. thanks in advance.

I get the impression you cannot return the AirPort card...this would be my first choice. Since the card is not recognized, either the card is bad or your powerbook has a hardware issue (doubtful).
Do you have an Apple Store nearby?
You might also contact your local User Group...there should be good help available:

- find another original AirPort card (limited to the slower 11Mbps speed) to try;

The above cards have the Broadcom chipset that Apple's AirPort software supports. If you have already installed AirPort 3.1.1, you are ready to go.

Need Help With Using IDE 3

I have the setup listed in my sig. My questions is how do I install a regular hard drive, not raid, on IDE 3? What steps would I take? The manuel doesn't show how to. I currently have a 120gb hd that I want to install on this channel, but it is not reconize by windows. The drive is working though case I hear & feel it running. Thanks in advance for helping, because it is really needed.

I fixed the problem. First I push ctrl+f at start up. At first I started to push it when I saw the fasttrack screen, but it's too late to press it by then. Created a array, like was said earlier. Then I booted up with my Winxp sp1 cd, push F6 to install the drives, inserted the diskette, formated the drive, and stopped the winxp install right before it was geting ready to started. I want to say thanks to everyone who helped me.

since these subs are 4 ohm DVC, you only have 3 ways to wire them. First is a 16 ohm load (not recommended), this is accomplished by wiring both voice coils per sub in series then the two subs in series. Second is a 4 ohm load (recommended but will be expensive). This is accomplished by 2 ways, wiring the Voice coils in parallel making each sub 2ohm, then wiring both subs in series to create 4ohm total or just the opposite, wiring the voice coils in series to 8ohm each then the subs together in parallel for 4ohm final load. Lastly these DVC subs can be wired for a 1 ohm load. Not many amplifiers out there are 1 ohm stable and the only one that best buy carries is a the rockford fosgate P1000-1BD which is 1000w stable at 1 ohm. Long story short the least expensive way to go about this would probably be a fat 4 ohm amp. Im not quite on the up and up with every amplifier out there but from what i can see, the alpine mrp-2000 (retails for 699) would do 2000w @ 4ohm and your going to be needing 1600w RMS for both subs... good luck man lol... its expensive hooking up 2 DVC subs together

I have imported bookmarks from Safari to Firefox but the bookmarks bar does not change in Firefox and match that of Safari. That's the part I need most. Any ideas why? Also, I don't see where to choose for Firefox to be my default browser.

I use a Imac with OS 10.6.7. I've just uploaded Firefox 4. I had Firefox 3 already but do not use it often. I've been using Safari. I imported bookmarks from Safari to Firefox, but the bookmarks bar in Firefox did not change to match that of Safari, and that's where the important bookmarks are. Any ideas?
Also, I can't find where to choose Firefox as my default browser.

Copy the files from the old Profile into the new Profile, replacing the existing files that are in the new Profile. That will make your new installation just like the old one.
Or if you just want your bookmarks, copy only the '''places.sqlite''' file from the old Profile into the new Profile.

Adobe Reader XI 11.0.06 - launching this takes 5 seconds while other users are instant or 1 second. Need troubleshooting tips or idea's

It was at 6 to 10 seconds but I unchecked Enable Prtoected Mode at startup and unchecked Enable Enhanced Security.
Looking for more idea's / suggestions to getting this to open instant / 1 second.
Impacting several users.

Thank you for the response, I have tested just clicking on Adobe Reader XI version 11.0.07 and it is launching in 4 to 6 seconds.
While I do see some improvement I'm still at a loss of why some users can instantly launch this application in (1 second or less) with the same hardware and I have several users still at a 4 seconds.
I am going to log in as admin and stop some of our services and other background apps and test launching.
