Feedback noises while charging

I have a audio out cable linking my 4th gen Nano to my car stereo.  With this combo I've never had any noise issues.  Today I bought a USB plug and patch cable so I could charge my iPod while driving.  Now I'm getting terrible feedback noise when the. USB cable is plugged in.  Any suggestions?

Contact the vendors and/or the car dealership.  One or the other should be able to advise you.

  • Broken Macbook Pro/charger. Popping noise while charging.

I've got the latest Macbook Pro, and while it was charging I heard a popping noise from what I'm pretty sure was the charging port while it was connected. I didn't think anything of it at first, but then I found that my charger wasn't working. The light was not lit on the charger and my laptop didn't recognize that it was connected.
I do not have another charger so I don't know if it is my charger or laptop that is broken yet, but does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
    Thanks for your help!

Please make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service. I assume it is still in warranty.

  • Weird scratchy noise while charging

I went to charge my MacBook Air today and I noticed a weird sound coming from the computer when I plugged it in. It sounded just like the noise a hard drive makes (obviously the MBA has flash storage, not a HD). I don't know if maybe there's something wrong with the fan, or if it has something to do with the charging port, or even worse, the battery. I'll just copy/paste my battery info here:

It seems like the noise is occuring whenever I click the trackpad or while I'm scrolling (and it sounds exactly like a hard drive for some weird reason) and it only seems to happen when the adapter is plugged in. I'm guessing it has to do with either the charging port or the battery because when I remove the charger my laptop goes silent like it normally should. Any ideas on what might be going wrong??

Perhaps if an SMC reset does not appear to help this odd symptom you should
consider an Apple Store - Genius appointment to have someone investigate it.
A diagnostic may be able to help, however some odd effects not re-occurring
are harder to discover a cause.

Another thing to throw into the mix, to see if it makes any difference, may be to
see if this NVRAM and PRAM reset article helps resolve the issue. As these
things could overlap, different methods of trying to resolve them may be taken.
And this could be viewed as troubleshooting, even if there is no change after.
    •About NVRAM and PRAM:

Hopefully this helps, but a visit to a qualified trained Apple service for diagnostic
may be revealing; should there be a hardware issue behind the symptom.
PS: edit to add: Does the Activity Monitor show any increase or change in
activity and if you have a temperature monitor on the system, does it show
an increase in temperature or fan activity when the device is plugged to AC?
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Tecra A3 106 Noise on Audio Output while Charging

    Hello all,
My Tecra A3 generates an annoying noise on line out/headphone output while charging the battery.
when it's unplugged, the noise goes off.
    Is that normal?
    Thanks in advance.
    Onur.

Hello there Pedro, please forgive me for my late reply, I was unable to test meanwhile,
and yeah, I removed the battery and booted my laptop with AC power. Result : the same sound.
I also noticed that, If i listen closely my charger unit, i can hear the same sound from the charger too...(It's obviously the same, but a hoarse noise)
Afterall, It's not distorting internal speakers, that happens when i use the line out for my amplificator.
Whenever I plug it out, I have no problem such as an annoying distortion voice on line out jacks.

  • What keeps making the cyclical noise while in sleep.  Sounds like iMac is loading a graphic or different screen.

What keeps making the cyclical noise while in sleep?  Sounds like iMac is loading a graphic or different screen.  Does it periodically while in sleep mode.  How do I correct this?  Just started doing it in the last few months.

I finally figured out how to fix this.  First I reviewed "Mac OS X: Why your Mac might not sleep of stay in sleep mode."  I noted the bullet:  "Do you have any other external USB or Firewire devices connected?"  I have an CP685AVR for a UPS for my Mac.  I replaced the battery a few months ago.  I also hooked up Apple's 'Energy Saver' power management software to the CP685AVR using the USB connection.  I disconnected it, and that solved the problem.  I still have the UPS and battery back-up; I just can't "monitor" the battery.  What's to monitor?  It always said the battery was 100% charged even right up to the time the previous battery failed.  Thanks for listening, uh... reading.

  • Flex 2 - Persistent Feedback Noise

    Hi everyone,
I've had my Flex 2 since about December and ever since I opened it there has been this recurring high-pitched feedback noise emitting from the computer whether I'm running things on it or it is simply idle (i.e. at the desktop). It is also persistent whether the laptop is charging or on battery power. Anyways, I sent it in to Lenovo about a week after opening the laptop and they sent it back saying the issue had been repaired with the motherboard being the cause of the issue. As soon as I turned on my laptop, the noise was still there. However because I needed it for school, I couldn't send it back in til Spring break. They then contacted me saying that they couldn't identify the problem I had stated and even after describing to them in detail the issue, they could not identify the problem. At this point, I needed my computer back for the new school quarter and so had to request that they return my computer to me "unrepaired". The feedback noise is still persistent and annoying as ever but it seems I'm out of luck with trying to get Lenovo to help me with this issue. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? Also, the noise comes on and stays on whenever I go to configure the microphone properties in control panel. As soon as I close out of that, the noise switches back to being an on-and-off noise.

No proper fix. Workaround is to uninstall the Realtek driver and use the generic Windows driver.

  • Really Annoying Feedback Noise

Does anyone get feedback on speakers of all types when their iPhone is on and near? I, so far, have received feedback noise on both home, work, car, and conference call telephone speakers. It appears to start when the phone attempts to wirelessly sync up to receive new email and text messages. This has become a problem because I can't seem to listen to the music on the phone without getting extremely loud feedback. And it was embarrassing during a conference call when the phone was causing the feedback within the phone overpowering those speaking on the phone. Any suggestions are helpful.

Though maybe not entirely identical I have noticed RF interference and also iPhone speaker crackling while playing music at home(I have a Wi-FI network). I was listening to a song out of the built-in iPhone speaker and all of sudden had terrible crackling - so while the song continued to play I turned off the Wi-FI connection on the phone and it after a minute the song quality went back to normal. So was this RF interference, WI-FI related or the fact the iPhone was going out to get new emails?

  • Windows 7 Volume Adjustment Feedback Noise

Hi, I just installed Windows 7 on Boot Camp (I'm using Snow Leopard on a Macbook 5,1) with the latest Boot Camp 3.3 update and whenever I use the volume media button on my Macbook's keyboard, it changes the volume in Windows 7 while playing the feedback noise (like on Mac OS).
Is there a way to turn this off? It's rather annoying to me.
Thanks for any feedback, I appreciate it.

  • Phone keeps making a clicking noise while I am on calls

phone keeps making a clicking noise while I am on calls

Is it constantly beeping or is it beeping when you place it on the touchstone? If you place it on the touchstone and it beeps this is expected behavior. Also note that you could be bumping the device shifting it off the charger and then back on thus the beeping noise telling you that it has been realigned again properly and is charging properly.

  • BB9720 Charger makes humming/creaking sound while charging

    Hi,
I've purchased a new BB9720 with original Charger received in the packing.
While charging the phone on an AC electrical point, the charger makes strange humming / creaking sound.
I'm based in New Delhi India, with 220V AC supply - the electrical circuit is perfect and has no earthing or other issues.
The AC CHargers on my other devices - iPhone, iPad, Samsung phones while charging do not make such noise.
It is only BlackBerry charger that makes this noise.
Can someone from BlackBerry support please respond if this is fine.
    Thanks & regards.

  • Primo 81 clicking charger (while charging and screen on)

Hi I have what may be a serious issue with my primo 81 charger.
It is normally silent BUT if while charging I turn on the Primo 81, ie actually USE IT.
Then the charger starts a low hum, (probably ok) but more worryingly I can hear a repeating clicking noise.
It happens roughly in pairs, like tick tick.......tick tick..... and a slight buzzing
It may be the fact that the device is drawing more power as the screen is on, but surely the power should drain from the battery?
    I dont know.
It just worries me and this feels like a fire hazard situation in the making.
Any advice, is the charger broken?

It seems normal while the charger provides the power for charging battery and using the tablet at the same time.
If you have any concern about this, you could contact MSI service center for a verification test

  • Iphone 6 plus fingerprint is not working while charging

My iphone 6 plus fingerprint scan is not working while charging. Is this normal?
I tried my iphone 5s and it works just fine even while charging.

I think I got an answer to my own question
If you're using generic lightning cable (non-original lighting cable), the fingerprint scan doesn't work while charging.
I just find it weird as my iphone 5s works even if i'm not using the original lightning cable though.

    Hi swaraj.vidhate,
If you are experiencing what appears to be unusually short battery life, you may want to check out the "Power/Battery: Battery life seems short" section of the following article:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
In particular, the Restore iPhone step will help isolate if any potential issue is software or hardware related.
With regard to the iPhone warming during charging:
iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch (4th generation): Keeping device within acceptable operating temperatures
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2101
When using the device or charging the battery, it is normal for it to get warm. The exterior of the device functions as a cooling surface that transfers heat from inside the device to the cooler air outside.
If you are still having issues with the battery life, or have any further concerns, there is a link to Apple iPhone Support at the bottom of the Hardware Troubleshooting document; I am sure they would be happy to be of assistance.
    Cheers,
    - Brenden

    Hi,
Check first if the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet.
Check if the carriage is moving freely and there is no obstructions inside the unit.
    Clean the paper rollers once.
See if doing these helps you
