Feel unsafe about replace my device in apple store
Hi all,
Last week i have replace my old iphone 6 to a new phone at apple store because of the camera problem, a guy took my old phone and when i ask him to erase all my data on my old phone, they say they will do it later. But now when i open my icloud account i still see the phone on the list of `you account are being use of following list`. I dont think the guy has erase all my data on that phone, even he did, the most important thing i concern about is that i have a lot of pravite data on that phone, althought i have passcode and touch id lock, but they still can have some way to login my phone to check all my data(there are a lot of article teach you how to unlock the phone without passcode). its very unsafe and make me feel very unconfortable, they shold let me erase the data or at least erase the data before i leave the store. now that phone still on my icloud list, is that means they still not erase my data? they already ask me to close find my iphone function, so i cannot erase it via icloud.
To be honest, I'm not sure how it would show that, your telling me about that location is news to me, I've never looked at it. Contact the Apple store if you are that concerned. Besides, the battery should be dead before you know it. I highly doubt that anyone at the Apple store is trying to access your data.

Earlier i meantioned that my lock screen was broken. That was a mistake its my lock button i apologize. But do i still have to pay for my phone bill and activate my AT&T account in order to replace my iPhone 5 at an apple store?? Or not because of the one-year warranty??
The lock button on my iPhone5 has also started acting up. Extremely annoying. I have to get it replaced, but I've dropped my phone once and there is a scratch on the top left corner of the phone, so I'm not sure what the warranty says about this situation.

Are replacement ipods from the apple store refurbished ones?
I broke my 4th gen ipod's screen saturday and I was pretty bummed out bc I thought I was going to have to buy a new one, but I took it to the apple store on sunday and they were pretty cool about it and gave me a new one for free, but is it really a new ipod or is it a refurb? it works pretty nice and it's even faster and more responsive than the one that broke but im noticing the battery runnin low a bit faster than the old one, I'm going to completely drain it and recharge it to see if that helps, but yeah anyone know how good the replacement ipods are?
Almost all the time replacement iPods are refurbished ones, not new. The only case I think you would get a new one is if there were not any refurbished ones available. Regarding battery life, it is high dependent upon the apps you have and the settings for the apps. Thus, a little shorter battery live is probably due to different settings/apps rater than a bad battery.

Cost of Replacing Logic Board at Apple Store
At the current moment, my 13" macbook pro no longer recognizes the wifi hardware. Running OSX 10.10, I thought this was the root of the problem. Support helped and solved the issue but it quit the minute I hung up the phone. It is possible that I will need to replace the logic board in order to get everything working again (although I may just buy a wifi adapter) and was wondering what the cost of replacing a macbook pro 8.1 logic board is, just so I don't have a heart attack in the store. Thanks.
Logic boards typically run $500 and up...take the the MBP to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs run their diagnostics to determine the exact issue. They can then quote an accurate price if physical repair is needed.

I want to get my phone unlocked. It is a replacement handset that I got from the Apple Store but my carrier says that it is not listed with them.
You'll need to go back to the Apple Store. We're just users here and there's nothing we can do to help you.

Replace Hard Drive in Apple Store?
Can I bring my iPod classic into an apple store and get them to replace the hard drive for me?
I want to replace my hard drive with a 320GB toshiba i'd end up buying from ebay but don't want to open my iPod up myself. I've already tried and stopped before I damaged it further. I just want them to open it and replace the drive for me and put it back together. No replacements of anything, no repairs, just do the replacement. I have no waranty to speak of.
Also, I want to replace the battery, but I assume if they'll replace the drive they will replace the battery as well. I found a 900mAh on OWC's site and will be buying it at the same time as my SSD. I have money to spare, clearly.
And yes, I have that much music. I have roughly 200GB of music and it's all lossless, so please no comments on it being useless.B-Rock is right, Apple wont do the upgrade to 320GB.
However, as you stated, you have money to spare, so try 3rd party iPod Classic upgrade to 128GB SSD,
Benefits:
Solid state - not likely to suffer crashes
Faster read/writes - so no sync issues
Low power consumption maybe 5 times longer battery life.
But first read through these discussion pages on the another site for iPod Mods.
http://www.head-fi.org/t/566780/official-ipod-video-classic-5g-5-5g-6g-6-5g-7g-s sd-mod-thread/180
And you can google "SSD iPOD Classic" to list the 3rd party vendors.

My iPhone has fallen out of my pocket a million times and always been fine, no cracks just a few scraches on the back. This morning, it fell out and I assumed the usual had happened. However, I went to type on the open message and the screen wasn't responding on parts of the keyboard. So, I thought maybe it was just a small issue; I turned my phone off then back on. When it turned back on I couldn't even unlock it because the screen wasn't responding and the first number of my passcode was in an unresponsive spot. An elder friend of mine told me all I needed was to replace the screen and that he could do it, if I bought the screen. My question is, would it be cheaper to buy the screen and have my friend do it, or would Apple give me a better deal?
Note: I've had it for a year and four months. I do not know ANYTHING about the warrantty and such because my aunt takes care of it for me because I'm only seventeen.Out of warranty replacement is $149

I have a 4g ipod touch with tons of problems.
The home button no longer responds and when it does it takes at least 10 minutes of repeatedly clicking it.
When my ipod turns off it takes hours to a day for it to turn back on.
Should i replace it, and if so, how much will that cost?
Is it repairable?I do have service and repair coverage! Thank you for that link
Does that mean I can replace it for no cost or that its just for repair service? -
I bought my MBP with Retina display less than two months ago and now I have this problem which the ghost of the application that was open, remains on the background.
I took the device to apple store and they decide to change a harware of it!! now I just feel like it is no going to be repaired.
just wanna know despite that 14 days of purchase date has passed, can I ask apple to replace the whole device and give me a new one or not!you can ask them, but they are not obligated to fulfill your request. They are obligated to fix any issues related to defective craftsmanship as long as your mac is under warranty however.

I am having problems connecting to wifi at home with my new IPhone 5. I got it replaced today at the Apple Store after dealing with a rude customer service person yesterday and today. They simply would not listen to me explain all the troubleshooting I have done. I also have an Apple Airport Extreme base station router, Macbook Air, two IPads, IMac and my husband's IPhone 5 on this wifi system with no problems. After talking to Apple Care yesterday, they told me to go to the store today to exchange my phone. The customer service person argued with me that I would have the same problems even if I exchanged the phone. This has been a very frustrating experience and after being a loyal "Apple" geek for many years, I'm seriously thinking about returning my IPhone 5 and getting a Samsung Galaxy S3! This is totally unacceptable! Tech support at Apple Care was great yesterday and that person actually listened to me unlike the two individuals at the Apple Store in Leawood, KS. How do I file a complaint about the hassles at the Apple Store?
Talk to the store manager.
Regards. -
I have a water damaged iphone 5c. I was thinking about taking it to the Apple store and paying the 269 dollar service charge for them to attempt to fix it. My question is: If they can't fix it, will they replace my phone for that $269 dollars, or will I have to pay full retail price for a new phone?
They do not repair at all.
The replace.
The $269 is for a replacement. -
Replacement Keyboard at Apple Store?
Hello all,
My Powerbook has a sticking / jamming 'H' key and the spacebar is a bit weak.
If I head into a Apple Store, say the one I will be near at the Towson Town Center this weekend, do they have replacement parts in the store?
Thanks!
JoshJosh,
SoHo isn't your only option in NYC. Take a look at the excerpt below:
Sorry about your experience. The Apple Store in SoHo is especially hectic, and perhaps not the best place to go for service in NYC, especially if you're already a little agitated before you go in there.
In the future, consider servicing your computer at (my favorite) Digital Society on East 10th Street ( http://www.digsoc.com/ ) or Tekserve on West 23rd Street ( http://www.tekserve.com/ ). Both are AASPs and Apple Specialists.
Credit to Tuttle for the post. Good info.

As said in the question, the left isn't as loud or harmonic as the other, can I replace them at the Apple Store? Hopefully for free?
The headphones have the same one-year warranty as the rest of the hardware. But it still can't hurt to ask an Apple store agent about replacements. Realistically, though, you'll probably just ahve to buy a new pair.
