  • Safari 5.1.7. fehlendes Plugin

Thank you for your answer. I am glad that Adobe Reader 11 works having installed it again and don't think that I need the new version DC (not wanting to have to pay something and not using Cloud).
    Kind regards, Karin

    Hi Karin,
Go to the folder : Your Hard Drive / Library / Internet Plug-ins.
If you see a file with PDF in its name drag it to the trash.
Quit and restart Safari to test with a PDF.
If it works you can empty the trash.
    Regards,
    Rave

  • Plugin path in MAC OS

Anyone know how to find the AI plugin path on Mac?
On Windows, we look in the registry, but how about in MAC?

Installer in MAC is dicey. MAC people are not used to traditional next-next installers, but more of double click dmg, drag drop the app into application folder types. There are few softwares like package maker, etc. Check this out WhiteBox - Packaging  .  Building installer using qt is really a headache.
For plugin location, you can assume /Applications/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator/Plugins.localized. If you don't find this directory, you can prompt user for install dir.
For windows use innosetup, beats everything else handsdown.

  • Cannot open CS6, it craves JBX-plugin, and my Mac doesn't recognize the file so I can't download

I wonder why CS6 is not complete when downloaded? Why should I have to download JBX? If needed it should be a part of Indesign. My Mac doesn't have a name of a file to open and download, so now I simply don't have CS6 and can't convert my book to Kindle for sales on Amazon.
    Terribly disappointed!
    /maria

I am using OS X 10.9.2 and I'm attaching the error message I get. I am
trying to install InDesign CS6 in order to convert my book to Kindle, but
Amazon's plug-in only works with InDesign CS6 NOT with InDesign CC.
I am attaching the Kindle Plugin also.

  • Can you run a windows only Photoshop plugin on a Mac using Parallels?

Can you run a windows only Photoshop plugin on a Mac using Parallels?   In particular a .8BF plugin like PTFilters.8BF  or Super Cubic.

If you also have a Photoshop version of the Photoshop application, the answer is of course YES.
    Otherwise, the answer is no,
If you have the CC subscription, then of course you can install a Photoshop Windows version and run your plug-in.  That'll be separate from your Photoshop Mac install..

  • PiPL config for running windows compiled plugin on a mac?

I followed the documentation that specifies PiPL code for targeting the plugin for different systems, but nobody can open the plugin using a mac.
I wrote a plugin for CS5, but it needed to be compatible with CS3 and CS4.
I can open it in CS5 on my windows machine, but nobody can open it on the macs.
I have the following PiPL code in my resource file:  (as well as some of the other PiPL codes.. but this should be the platform ones)
    LC(A,D,B,E),
    LC(w,x,8,6),
    0L,
    12L,
    "PluginMain\0\0",
    LC(A,D,B,E),
    LC(m,i,3,2),
    0L,
    12L,
    "PluginMain\0\0",
    LC(A,D,B,E),
    LC(m,a,c,h),
    0L,
    12L,
    "PluginMain\0\0",

I'm pretty sure you'll need to recompile using a Mac. There are a few differences.

  • Mail - fehlendes Plugin statt .jpg Dateien

    Hallo,
ich habe Probleme mit "Mail". Dort werden manche .jpg Dateien nicht angezeigt. Stattdessen steht dort "fehlendes PlugIn".
Ich hab schon alles mögliche probiert, was in anderen Foren bei dem Problem geraten wurde, aber ohne Erfolg.
Ich hoffe hier kann mir jemand helfen?
    Vielen Dank schon mal vorab.
    pasion23

    Hi parion23,
ich hatte das gleiche problem, also habe ich gegoogelt. in einem anderen thread hier habe ich folgendes gelesen:
In the directory "/Library/Internet Plug-ins" I found several plugins. I moved all of them to the Desktop and then my images were back in Mail! Then, I one-by-one copied the plugins back in the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins directory. The one that was giving me the trouble was JavaPluginCocoa.bundle.
"mein" plugin heisst zwar "JavaAppletPlugin.plugin", aber resultat war das gleiche.
das habe ich gemacht und: problem behoben
    viel glück.

  • Camera Raw.plugin location on Mac, Photoshop Elements 6

(Regarding Photoshop Elements 6) Adobe's updater cannot find the Camera Raw plugin to update to 4.4.1, so I downloaded it manually. The problem is trying to find the old plugin so I can replace it. If I follow the info in the Read Me for this update, it says to put it in:
    ~/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS3/File Formats
This folder did not exist, so I created Plug-Ins, CS3 and File Formats. Didn't work.
I went to the Photoshop Elements 6 folder, and there found
    Plug-Ins/FileFormats
(no space between "File" and "Formats"). I put the new Camera Raw.plugin there (no old one there), and now Elements, in its "About Plug-In" drop down menu lists TWO Camera Raw plugins, version 4.3.1 and the 4.4.1 I just put there.
Where the heck is the 4.3.1 file so I can get rid of it?? Searching with the Finder and Spotlight only reveals the 4.4.1 file.

Camera Raw location on a Mac:-
    Hard Drive/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/File Format/CS6
    or
    Hard Drive/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/File Format/CS5
    or
    Hard Drive/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/File Format/Elements
NOT within the User section at all!
and if you update one Camera Raw you can, of course, copy and paste to alternative versions of Adobe products (as if, for example, you have both CS6 & CS5, or Elements)

  • Internet Plugin for Intel Mac

I recently bought a new MacBook with the new Intel based chipset and ran into a snag with Apple's programing. It turns out while surfing the net and trying to watch/ download WMA (windows based) media, there is no plugins avaible for the new Intel based Mac. This is a real pain because after shelling out 2 grand for a computer and not being able to watch some stupid clips kida irks me. if anyone knows of a program or plugin that would work it would be great.

No sweat. We've all been waiting impatiently for this release. You're in good company.

  • How to remove Gameplaylabs Plugin on a mac

For a while now I have been getting a lot of ads on all the facebook profiles. It was getting annoying so I googled the problem. Some people were experiencing the same thing and said it was the Gameplaylabs Plugin. There are some intrusctions on how to fix this on a pc http://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/_UkMuA-j J5Y , but not on a mac. So can you help? Thanks

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software – potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions – they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then either copy or drag it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” (without the quotes) and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
    Step 1
Copy or drag – do not type – the line below into the Terminal window, then press return:
    kextstat -kl | awk '!/com\.apple/{printf "%s %s\n", $6, $7}'
Post the lines of output (if any) that appear below what you just entered (the text, please, not a screenshot.)
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
    sudo launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.(apple|openssh|vix)|edu\.mit|org\.(amavis|apache|cups|isc|ntp|postfix|x)/{print $3}'
This time, you'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning.
    Step 3
    launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.apple|edu\.mit|org\.(x|openbsd)/{print $3}'
    Step 4
    ls -1A /e*/mach* {,/}L*/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,Keyb,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Spo,Sta}* L*/Fonts 2> /dev/null
Important: If you synchronize with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, anonymize it before posting.
    Step 5
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of every login item' 2> /dev/null
Remember, steps 1-5 are all drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste, whichever you prefer – no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
    You can then quit Terminal.

  • Labview runtime engine plugin problem in Mac OS X

    Hi:
We have just recently acquired a macBook Pro and am trying to test some instrumentation modules we have previously developed online for Circuit Theory courses on the MAc platform.
These VI's are installed on lab view server and we have no difficulty accessing them in Windows XP or Vista from a browser either Firefox or IE. Of course the latest version of runtime engine is installed on the pc prior to accessing the vi using remote panel and secondly we have to disable any virus protection software.
I have also installed the 8.5 version of LV runtime engine on the macbook with Leopard 10.5.x OS. I can see the LV plugin with the proper version in the Installed plug in check for the Safari browser. But every time the Remote panel is accessed I get a missing plugin message.
    Here is the message:
Safari cannot find the Internet plug-in.
The page “Blackboard Academic Suite” has content of MIME type “application/x-labviewrpvi82”, but you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type. A plug-in should be available on this page:
    http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/express?openagent&code=exck2m&
Do you want to open the page?
The page it suggests is the NI site for the plugin download?
I am really in a corner and donot know what I am doing is wrong? Any help will be appreciated?
    Vishnu

I'm not a Mac expert, but it sounds like you are missing the LabVIEW Browser Plugin which is necessary to view remote front panels.  That plugin installs with the LabVIEW runtime engine which you can find here.  I don't think Safari requires any extra configuration to work with the plugin but it might... let us know if installing the runtime engine doesn't resolve the problem.
