Fell for the MacProtector scam. Do i go to the apple store to make sure it's complete gone or do i  download a antivirus software

I got scammed the other night  thing that MacProtector  was legit . Until my friend informed me that I got scammed. 
I followed  the link  that i found on here in the communities.  I want to make sure it's completely gone to go I to the experts at the apple store or do i download antivirus software  like sopho or  virusbarri

    I Just signed in to find the answer to this too.  I started having the same trouble today.

    It's a real problem when you're deployed outside the US and your billing address, though totally correct, is not. This seems to be a common complaint. I think the billing address vs. your present location causes some security concern or similar nonsense that prevents progress.
    The only way I know of to resolve this is to contact iTunes Support by email. I have never had to wait more than a day for a response:

    The response should not be "automated'. Explain your circumstances. You deserve a personalized response.

    If you tried to restore to your iCloud backup and your photos didn't fully restore, first go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and make sure it isn't still in the process of restoring.
    If the restore is complete and all your photos weren't restored, all you can do is try restoring the backup again.  You might try the solution posted by ezjules in this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589.  This involves opening the photos app after the phone restarts and you provide the passwords for your Apple IDs, then leaving it open for the remainder of the restore process.

    iTunes STORE not “connectable” with my otherwise perfectly-working internet connection, viable, up and running for all other uses.
    Simply put, firstly, I can't connect to the internet when I click on Radio.  People are quite suspicious that this is Apple incompetence or your company's famous arrogance for this commonly-suffered problem that you won't or “can’t” fix.
    Read the many web comments and you won’t be pleased with yourselves: the suspicion is that if you ruin internet radio on iTunes, Apple will somehow make more money on music downloads, etc. Bull.
    Also, thirdly, my old playlist of 20 or so internet radio stations in the Ambient category STILL PLAYS !
    Then fourth, I installed the latest available version of QuickTime Player 7.app Version 7.6.6 but it didn’t solve the problem either. I had QuickTime Player.app Version 10.2, but substituted what Apple website said was the latest, LOWER NUMBERED QuickTime Player version of 7.6.6
    Fifth, I can't connect to iTunes store no matter what I do or what user group's advice I try. So I can’t buy or download anything from iTunes. Bad for business.
    Sixth, I updated to the latest version of iTunes but this weird problem remains. All suggested Apple fixes or user group fixes are useless. Where is Apple’s famous technical competency, vaunted customer support?, and user-friendly product reputation? Get it back, please.
    Solve this problem of yours ASAP for us, your numerous disgruntled, dissatisfied customers of iTunes. You can do better, should, and really –in all fairness- must.

    Apple ACCOUNT ID, and iTunes ID password, works but not to access iTunes with my healthy internet connection.
    Apple store id It works via direct internet connetion but not through iTunes.  Very strange.

    I think you should probably also read the iPad User Guide. You didn't say what version of iOS your iPad is running, so here's the links to both the iOS 6 and iOS 7 (PDF) versions:

    Since I upgraded my anti-virus software to Trend Micro 2013, I now get this error message:

    My internet connection is working fine. I suspect it is related to my anti-virus upgrade.
    Any ideas?

    Definitely try disabling anti virus software then try iTunes.

  • How do I change the appleID for the apple store icon on my IPad?

    I have recently retired and my IPad that I used with my school email is now my private IPad.  I no longer have my school email, and had to change my primary email address to my private one.  I have changed my AppleID to use my private email, was able to change my FaceTime to the private email, but cannot find the setting to change the apple store setting to the private email on my IPad.  To top it off, I still have a credit amount on my Apple store account I don't want to lose.   I had assumed when I changed my Primary appleID it would change it for the app store.   It didn't. Help!

    If you have a credit for the app store, it will be associated with the old email address unless you merely changed the email address associated with the Apple ID. If you created a new Apple ID that's a different story. It can get quite confusing at times. But first things first.
    Settings>Store>Apple ID. You can sign out of the old ID there and sign in with the new one.
    You can do the same thing in the App Store and in iTunes when in the featured or main page of each app. Your ID is located in the bottom left corner of the screen. You can tap the ID that is showing and sign out of the old ID there and sign in with the new one.

When I try to login to the iTunes store here in the USA, I get a message telling me that my Apple ID is only valid for purchases from the Ireland iTunes store. What moron put in a restriction like that? Apple is now telling me that although I can legally move from one country to another and take up residence, I can not travel globally with my Apple ID?     Do NOT create another ID.  Change the country of your present ID.

    You will, of course, need to change your address and enter valid credit card information after you have changed the settings.

    Realize, however, just as you can no longer visit your old public library in Ireland you also no longer have access to the store or your purchases made there.  You can continue to use them as they are on your computer now but that makes it all the more important you maintain backups in case of loss.  If you upgrade an app I think you will have to pay for it again since you no longer have access to the Irish Store.
