Fell in the water, cannot be charged

my ipod fell in the water unexpectedly yesterday. i shut down immediately and after 1 hour i restarted it and it could be used. after the battery ran off, it couldn't be charged but the screen shows that it already CHARGED. but there's no power in it. could you help me? thanks a lot.

when connected to PC, itunes can detect my nano and display all the files in it.
Could be a good sign. However, I would still discontinue the use of your iPod until it has sat to dry out for a long period of time.
i will try to get some dry rice but is there any other way to get my nano back to life? and is there any possibility that it could be repaired?
Not sure of what else you could do. The problem may just be with the battery then, but it's hard to tell at this point. I would suggest having it looked at by a third party repair company who will perform diagnostics test on it to determine where the issue lies.
As to where you have it serviced, there are several options. A simple Google search for "iPod repair service" should bring up a plethora of sites that can assist you.
what should i do if i drop it into the water next time...
The next time this happens, whatever you do, don't power it on. Immediately putting into a bowl of dry rice as I suggested above and let it sit for a couple of days or up to a week just to be sure that it is completely dried out. Other than that, there really isn't much you can do.

  • Fell in the water

my iphone 4 32 gbs fell in the water and doesn´t work anymore. What do I do?

Do not try to turn it on or charge it.  That is the worst thing you can do.
Let it dry for a week or two.
If it still does not work, then you will have to buy a replacement.

You're seriously trying to use an electronic device that's been in contact with water????
You do know that since th beginning of time water and electricity don't mix, right?
Start being smart and top trying to use it NOW, and put it in a bag of rice for a week.

My phone fell into the water ... When i turned on my phone, upon seeing the icon Apple again will reset
    Help me fast Plz

Water and electronics do not mix.  You probably need to have the device replaced.  Contact Apple.  Be prepared to pay an out-of-warranty fee of $269 USD + tax because of the water damage.
Other than that, you can try turning off the iPhone, putting it into a bag of uncooked white rice (or another desiccant), and leaving it in there for 5-7 days.  You may need to change out the rice/desiccant every few days.  If it still doesn't work properly, then it is a dead device and you'll need to replace it.

No. The warranty does not cover damage.
You can only get a replacement if you can talk Apple into selling you and out of warranty replacement.

  • Mac book pro 15" 2.3 ghz the battery cannot be charged. the upper corner right says it's plugged in but not charging.

I just brought my Mac book pro 15" 2.3 ghz on 12 september 2012 not even one week I've used it the battery cannot be charged.
the upper corner right says it's plugged in but not charging.
How do I solve this I'm going to London the next week! (23/09/2012)
I need this replaced or repaired ASAP. Is tat possible? It hasn't being used for even a week and it's already cause such a trouble? Is this what Mac is?

    Hi Steve,
I just got back from the apple service centre. I must say they treat us pretty bad and raising voices and stuffs.. If you wanna question or doubt on such service, I've recoded everything in my mobile and iPad. The company I brought from is TECHNOCRATS in 1Borneo Hypermall. The service centre headquarters is DIGITAL FORTRESS SDN. BHD. located in Damai Point.
    Here's what happened..
I went in the service centre and disappointingly, no one entertain us (my boyfriend and I).. we stood there for a few minutes. :(
Till we enquire for administration and problems. A girl said she doesn't know much. She gave me a number to her superior named Charles. She asked us to contact him. Then we asked "aren't you suppose to call your superior regarding to this matter?". "it's this the part of your profession to call Charles? Why is it my job to find him?"
Soon the lady calls him and she passed the phone to my partner.
Wow, there was raising voices and stuffs in the phone. So my partner asked him to come up to the office and discuss this matter since he was jst downstairs. For your information this is the second visit of the day, so we visited the second time after lunch hour which is 2:15pm
Well it was dramatic, Charles with his raising voices and terrible attitude for a greeting. So he straight forward blamed us for not putting the mbp down to the registration. (FYI no one there bothers to serve us for the 1st and 2nd visit). For my concern, this mbp is not cheap. And how can I just put down my laptop and leave? Without any rational reasons.
Long story short, I told him my problem and he said he will make a diagnosis and will return the answer to me tomorrow probably before noon.
Here's what I'm upset about. I enquire about the genius bar. He kinda felt offended and told me tat only apple store has genius bar! Im just asking you don't néed to be so loud on this.. I'm still very new to Mac products and stuffs.
Now that I have sent in my Mac book pro to diagnosis with the cables and everything. Hope to get the answers soon and hope it wasn't really bad since it was new.
Now its pretty much scarred on my side about Mac's Brand. I just wanted a reasonable solving problem and yet I get negative feedbacks from the service centre. Is this how it should end? I'm still pretty upset right now.
    Any suggestions for me? Please?
    Worried,
    Shirley

  • My ipod fell in the water

last yesterday my ipod fell in the pool it worked but it was blury then it turned off and i just left it sit then yesterday i tryed conneting it but it does not do any thing..............what do i do know....????????

    Hi,
First, make sure do not plug your iPod neither with your computer or ac charger.
Leave it at the dry place for at least a week, and bear in mind that do not use hot/warm air blower to shorten the drying period.

  • A battery error has occured, the battery cannot be charged, replace the battery

I have a T61, bought 10/07.  I got this message out of the blue after i unplugged my laptop and it shut itself off.  Only turns back on when plugged in.  The orange battery light is flashing despite it saying the battery is fully charged, i called lenovo and they said i need to purchace a new battery, since the 1 year warranty exprired just over one month ago (convenient for them).  I have searched and found that this is not a new problem with lenovo and that 2 sets of recalls on the t60 battery occured recently, but mine apparently does not quailfy for recall (already checked).   The battery info says its a sanyo battery with poor quality, 44 cycles, first used 10/07.
I'm kind of peeved that i'm being told i need to buy a $115 battery just over a year after getting this computer, and believe lenovo should step up for clearly something being wrong with their system as i'm in good company of others with this problem.
anyone have any ideas?  do i really need to purchase a new battery??
    thanks for any help

  • Hi.I lost my iphone,it fell into the water, and it went off,now i need my photostream on my pc ,how can i get them?

hi,i lost my iphone.and now i need my photostream on my pc,how caan i have them?

On our PC have you downloaded and installed the iCloud control panel?  If not, do so.  If the PhotoStream was turned on before the iPhone was damaged, try to connect to iCloud, with PhotoStream turned on, and see if the photos will download to your PC.  If PhotoStream was not turned on for the iPhone there is nothing you can do.

  • IPod touch dropped in the water, now sound doesn't play anymore, except ringtones

    Hi,
An acquaintance of mine fell in the water, with his iPod touch still in his pocket. After getting out of the water, his iPod touch seemed to work fine, except the speaker; no music or other sounds play, except ringtones and notification sounds. Does this fall under the warranty, and what should he do?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
    - Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
