Fennec installs on Kindle HD, but when selected, opens and 3-5 seconds later drops out. Is there support coming?
Gets installed-as shown; gets icon-as shown; opens fine from icon--crashes back to icon after 3-5 seconds of display of homepage.
fennec-15.0 being used.
Are there other parameters I need to manipulate to get this to work? Have tried automatic and mobile setting for firefox--same results.
Did something a little different and it worked. fennec 10.0 works without fail on kindle fire. I guess know that a level of support is established as a baseline, we should be able to walk it up from here. This is a Kindle Fire right out of the box. Two previous fennec 15.0 installs went fine, however fennec crashed after 3-5 seconds. I googled a couple more things and found where someone had gone to ftp site and pulled down 10.0. Definitely works. Clean install...open right up and has yet to crash. Have already browsed around a couple site and still going strong.

I got my copy of PSE 8 with a tablet I bought a couple years ago. The computer I had installed it on died, so I bought a new computer. Only then did I realize I'd somehow lost the installation CD. I went on the mostly-dead computer and managed to recover my serial number that way. But when I go to put it in to the boxes to re-register on my new computer, there's a whole extra box. In other words, my serial number doesn't appear to be long enough to go into the provided boxes. What is going on?
You can't see the whole serial number that way. If you registered it, you can go to the main page of adobe.com and sign in or click where it says "welcome, < your name>", you should be able to find your serial number in the links there.

Can't figure out why colors don't totally change when you select type with curser? It looks like it has by looking at it, but when you highlight the area after the old color is still there. It happens with objects to. Driving me NUTZ. Help!
Select the text, and open the Appearance palette (Come on guys, text highlight is irrelevant, it happens to objects too says the OP), and see what's listed there. For a simple text object, there should only be a line item "Type", followed by "Characters", and when double-clicked the Characters line item expands to tell you the stroke and fill color. For a basic object, there should be a fill and/or stroke.
What happens sometimes, is that you end up adding extra strokes/fills to objects or text, and the appearance palette is where that will be noted. Especially when you are dealing with groups, and/or picking up a color with the eyedropper, you may inadvertently be adding a fill or stroke on top of something. You can drag those unwanted thingies from the Appearance palette into its own little trash can. -

MarynaJudging by the reviews of the current version of the Kindle app you aren't the only one haveing problems with it - it looks like Amazon need to fix something with the app.
Have you tried closing the Kindle app via the iPad's multitasking bar and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? Double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the Kindle app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
You could also try deleting the app and redownloading it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it (you will then need to redownload your books in the app, assuming that it opens). -
IPhone5 on 6.1.4 - missing named contacts on contact list. Can see missing named contacts when messaging, but when selected come up as only phone numbers in the sent to window. What is resolution? Can I sync only contact list from to iTunes backup?
Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. mozilla is not recognizing that I have art in a folder on my desktop. it recognizes the folder, but when I open it, it's empty. why won't it recognize the contents of the folder?
What is the file extension of those files?
Can you select "All files" in that file picker to see all the files?
It is possible that it is not a supported file type that can be used for uploading.<br />
A web server can specify that.

I am trying to "authorize" my new computer so that I can download my previous purchases from the cloud. It says to open iTunes and go to the STORE menu and select AUTHORIZE MY COMPUTER, but when I open iTunes there is no STORE menu. Can anyone help?

Open Sysem Preferences from your Apple () menu top left in your screen then select the Firewall tab.
Make sure the Firewall is turned off. -

Updates come through Software Update not the App Store. If you have to reinstall Lion that is done via Internet Recovery.

All the books I paid money for will not open in iBooks on my MAC. Mavericks will not let me uninstall iBooks, so I cannot uninstall and reinstall it on my Pro. I have deleted and re-loaded the books and they show in my library (as they always did), but when I open them, all I get is a blank page with three dots at the bottom, flashing in sequence. This does not affect the free books from the book store nor does it affect the PDF I have loaded myself. (I had this problem on my iPad when the latest big software came out about a year or two ago, but I was able to re-initalize the complete iPad from my Pro Book.) I have tried just about everything I can think of, but all to no avail. To save time, I have reset my iTunes password and performed all the other "Apple Tips" in the support section, but after 5 hours I am giving up. Surely someone else must be having the same issue??
Yup, same issue since installing Mavericks. iBooks works fine on my wife's Macbook Pro, but on my Mac Pro none of my purchased (protected) books will open - only the free/unprotected ones.
I'm asked for my AppleID password, but nothing happens when I try to open a purchased and downloaded book. I deauthorized, reauthorized, etc ... nothing. Each purchased book that I double-click gives me a dialog asking for my Apple ID password. Nothing else.
I was already buying more books via Kindle than iTunes and this just seals the deal for me. At least I can read my already-purchased iBooks books on my iPad still... -
I use iphone5, I see an app update on the app store. but when App store and click on the update tab, it doesn't show me which application to update.. just gives me a blank page.!!!! I wouldn't able to know what app has to be updated, untill and unless i get check for each every app on the app store installed on my iphone... what is the solution for this.!!!! can any1 one help me out.!!!!

You can probably change the ID in the "iTunes and App stores" settings on the iPad....click on the wrong account ID , select sign out, then log in with your own ID, I have not done this but I think it works.....
but I would be more inclined to to the factory reset and start afresh. -
Have CS 5 Installed on my iMac and works ok. But installed on my new MacBook Pro it won't open NEF files from my Nikon D810. Displays NEF icons, but when I try and open them the response is: Make sure latest RAW updates are installed. If problem persists follow link: http://www.adobe.com/go/kb407111. Have installed Bridge 5.0.2.4; Raw Ref Version 7.0.0.308; DNG converter_8_7_1.dmg; Bridge 5.0.2 Update 2. Also same problem with Lightroom which I don't normally use. In the link you posted it states that the Nikon 810 requires ACR 8.6 or newer.
Version of ACR are specific to versions of Photoshop. You cannot use 8.6 nor even 7.0.in CS5.
I believe that ACR 6.7 is the latest that will work with CS5, so make sure you have this installed and get rid of ACR 7.
Having 2 versions of ACR will cause problems.
You have already downloaded DNG Converter 8.7.1.
Have you double clicked the DMG file to allow you to install DNG Converter on your computer?
Be aware that DNG converter is a stand-along application and not a plug-in.
You need to open DNG converter at select the FOLDER that contain your .NEF files.
Don't open the folder and try to select individual files, it doesn't work that way.
After converting your D810 files to DNGs you can then open the DNGs in CS5
The problem is your camera didn't exist when CS5 & its version of ACR was developed.
i don't use Lightroom, but the list mentions Lightroom 5.6 as needed to open D819 so your 3.6 version of LR won't cut it. -
I noticed a couple of days ago that my url bar on my imac was no longer there,I am new to the apple community and I am not sure how to progress with my qustion. I have tried selecting :- view / customise toolbar but the dropdown box which has various options to drag and drop does not show the address bar I am stuck can you help
