From Reports help:
Move the field into a repeating frame whose source group is at or above the group that contains the field's source column. Otherwise, move the field's source column into the enclosing repeating frame's group, if possible.
I suggest you move your fields around in your layout, moving a field out of 1 repeating frame into another. See how the data model, groups and layout are related.

Hi
I have 2 queries in my report. One for Summary section and one for detail section. The detail is nothing but details of the summary section on the top.
I created a repeating frame for the detail and have set the source to the 2nd query -that is for the detail section.
However, when I add a field and set the source to a column from query I get the following error:
Field F_1 references column <colname> at a frequency below its group.
What am I doing wrong here?

If that was the case then it wouldnt be like summary and detail as I specified in earlier posts. It is not 1:1.
Another thing I was tryng to accomplish was that in the detail section, I need the country and then the cities and rest of the details specific to that country below it. This way I want the categorization by country.
Example:
Country: USA
New York
San Francisco
Chicago
Boston
Country: Canada
Toronto
Montreal
Halifax
What I am getting right now is:
Country: Canada
Toronto
Country: Canada
Montreal
Country: Canada
Halifax
and so on
Each of these cities within Canada occur in different repeating frames. I want one frame per country.
How may I accomplish that?
Again, Query1 = Selects distinct countries on a specific criteria
Query 2: Selects details for all the countries selected in query 1

Hii guys
My goal is to display my desired database column where ever i want to on the report layout.For this Purpose
I ran the following query
1.SELECT * FROM EMP WHERE EMPNO='7369' in the Data Model.
2.I then created a field in layout view and gave field source as EMPNO
3.On Report Run following error was encountered.
REP-1213: Field F_1 references column EMPNO at a frequency below its group
Kindly help me in fixing this problem

Hi,
In a report (6i) it is showing Error like "REP - 1213 field F_SUM_COLLECTIONS_RATIO
Reference column CS_COLLECTION_RATIO at a frequency below its group"
As I know this is a problem of repeating frame problem:-
1. How can I check this error ? And How can resolve this problem?
Note:-
In this sales_ratio,collection_ratio,sales?coll._ratio I added Corr. formula columns and create summary
columns corr. to each.

What I have found is that every time I have this problem, it is because during the manipulation of report items, I have inadvertently moved an item outside of its parent block.
If you expand the size of your report layout editor (control-key and PLUS key [ ctrl+]), you can usually see where the item has strayed outside of its parent report block.

I have a report with a repeating frame. The report was working fine until I decided to do some more 'tweaking'. I somehow lost the repeating frame. I went ahead and added a new repeating frame and I'm now getting the following error:
"REP-1213: Field 'F_Customer_name' references column 'Customer Name' at a frequency below its group."
I read about the error in the help but, I dont know exactly what it means.
PLEASE HELP!!

hello,
if you are going to the layout model you can move elements
forward and backward. the easiest way ist to select all fields
in the layout model (if they are behind the repeating frame you
will not be able to select them by clicking, use the object
navigator to select them instead)) and use the BRING TO FRONT
menu item.

REP-1213: Field references column at a frequency below its group

Is there a way of making a field which is on a lower level group to be displayed in a group which is at a higher level in the report?
I have a field which is within a lower level group on a report and I want it to appear as a header, within a group which is a level above its own group. The field should remain in its original group but should not appear on the report as a column within its original group but should appear as part of the heading.
I have tried it and got error REP-1213: Field references column at a frequency below its group, but how can I achieve what I want to do without getting this error? Is there a way of showing this field on the header without actually moving it into the header group? Should I create an alias or a function or what and how?
Please help.

If your academic year is number filed, you can use it at summary column. Where summary function is sum. You take this summary column at 1st group and select source from 2nd group. Thanks for the question. You can actually configure this behavior from Mail preferences:
1. Choose Preferences from the Mail menu.
2. Click Composing.
3. Deselect the checkbox for "When sending to a group, show all member addresses".
When you send an email to the group, only the groups name will be seen.

I have the iphone 4s and its updated (ios 6.1.1). I've always had my group messaging set to OFF. Everytime I send a text to multiple folks, I find out that they were able to see everyone elses responses to me. My boss told me this morning that she saw responses from my friends/family from a picture I sent yesterday. Is there ANYTHING that can be done about this? It's important to be able to send texts to multiple people. I have to update them alot on my husbands illness. Help!

Group messaging simply puts all replies in one conversation in Messages. It doesn't prevent the behavior you experienced.
My suggestion which would be much easier in my opinion, is rather than do a text, send out an email and use bcc: , which will keep the audience hidden from each recipient.
Otherwise, if you're determinted to do only texts, the only way is to send your message to one person at a time. You can of course copy/paste your msg each time which might be helpful.

On each device check the following in the Settings app.
Settings > Messages > Send and Receive
Make sure the proper phone numbers and/or email address is selected on each. Deselect those that you don't want to use an a particular device.

I group messaged from my ipad and this has screwed up the way my messages are reveived by my friends (it creates new threads in their phones with my email in place of my contact name) I've stopped messaging from my ipad but the problem remains. Any help?

I have an iPhone 4S and use the group texting feature ALL THE TIME. I recently updated my iPad to the latest software and made the colossal mistake of continuing my group messaging from my iPad while connected to wifi. Doing this has successfully screwed but every group text thread I am in, to the point where its very hard for those involved in the thread to keep up. When I initially messaged those I was already engaged in text threads with it created a new thread in their phones replacing my name in their phones with my email. At first this was not a big deal but ever since then the people I am messaging have become increasingly frustrated with how my messages come through. If I am messaged in a group text and respond to it, sometimes when I respond it will create an entirely different thread in my recipients phones. So at that point they have to switch threads in order to read what I wrote. The new thread that my phone creates will send the message under my email not my name (related to the contact they have me saved as in their phones). The worst part about it is that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to why or when my phone will send the message as normal or under my email like it did with my iPad. I haven’t messaged from my iPad since these problems immediately began a month ago but the issues still continue. I have tried everything to get this to stop, I’ve turned off my wifi, I’ve had my friends delete the threads that my messages create in their phones. I’ve had them delete my email in their contact lists and nothing has worked. Can you help me? Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Note: My phone message no different whatsoever. All the threads have remained the same. The issue is what it is doing to the people that I am messaging.

I have this identical problem. For a while my group texts didnt show up on my ipad. Then one day they did, maybe everyone in the group started using the same os version or something. Ever since my first reply to the group there have been complaints of multiple threads. I can not find a pattern for when my group text's decide they want to create a new thread. (it doesnt happen every time) Everyone in the group has deleted the thread, we've all toggled imessage on/off etc. There still hasn't been a solution.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure why you had to manually enter your contact information, but if you created and turned on your iCloud account, the information should be there.

Please note that the Contacts App (looks like a brown address book) is located inside the Utilties folder on your home screen. Press and hold the Utilities folder and it will jiggle. Then drag the Contacts App out onto the home screen for easier access. (see page 20 of the guide below).

Having multiple threads in ios 8.1 with the same people in a group message.

When I send an imessage out to a group, some of the group responses will come back through a different message with all the same people. This just means I have 3-4 different threads in my messages with all of the same people. It's also difficult to read if I get multiple and check them at a later time because I have to see when they came through to piece the conversation together. Anyone else?

I would start with checking the your settings in Settings > Messages and as long as Group Messages is turned on you are good. But also keep in mind that if anyone else in the group does not have this enabled then it does throw everything off. Take a look at the article below for more information.

Group messaging in iOS 7

Ok so ever since I got my new iphone 5s my iMessage/text messaging has been really weird. My group messaging is not working right. Instead of getting a group message, I get messages individually from each group member. So you can't even tell its a group message. It just looks like a bunch of random texts from different people. I don't get why it's doing this??
I looked in my settings under messages and I have iMessage turned on, SMS message on, group message on. Pretty much everything is on but it's still not working. Also it may be worth noting that everyone from the group message all have iPhones so it's all through imessage.
Any thoughts as to how to fix this??? It's driving me crazy!

I have seen a number of posts from different locations regarding the Group Messaging question. I am with AT&T in the US and have an iPhone 4s with iOS 7.0.3. I do not use Group Messaging very often and have always had the button in the off position. I have sent a couple of short group messages in the last week, and see all responses from all members of the group. You asked for a picture so here you go. This is located under Settings>Messages.
