Fetch all vars in a package
Hi,
SSIS 2012
Script Task c#
Is there a way to reference ALL variables in the Dts.Variables collection without the need to lock and explicitly provide the var's scope::name.
Thanks,
Shaul
Hi,
I’m afraid the suggested solution is not going to work. When running ‘code-behind’ for a Script-Task, the code actually reference
Dts .Variables as oppose to arbitrary pkg.Variables.
The following code is NOT applicable in this scenario:
Application app =
new Application();
Package pkg = app.LoadPackage(@"C:\Program
Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Samples\Integration Services\Package Samples\CalculatedColumns Sample\CalculatedColumns\CalculatedColumns.dtsx",
null);
Variables pkgVars = pkg.Variables;
Please see the following
thread (which I found after submitting my question..)
Thanks,
Shaul

People Picker JS Control not fetching all the users...
Hi,
I am using Java Script people picker control. It fetching information for users but not all. I used following code block to get the control working. Why is not fetching all the users?? Where as OOTB people picker fetches same user. This does not make sense.
My environment is SharePoint online.
// Run your custom code when the DOM is ready.
$(document).ready(function () {
// Specify the unique ID of the DOM element where the
// picker will render.
initializePeoplePicker('peoplePickerDiv');
// Render and initialize the client-side People Picker.
function initializePeoplePicker(peoplePickerElementId) {
// Create a schema to store picker properties, and set the properties.
var schema = {};
schema['PrincipalAccountType'] = 'User,DL,SecGroup,SPGroup';
schema['SearchPrincipalSource'] = 15;
schema['ResolvePrincipalSource'] = 15;
schema['AllowMultipleValues'] = true;
schema['MaximumEntitySuggestions'] = 50;
schema['Width'] = '280px';
// Render and initialize the picker.
// Pass the ID of the DOM element that contains the picker, an array of initial
// PickerEntity objects to set the picker value, and a schema that defines
// picker properties.
this.SPClientPeoplePicker_InitStandaloneControlWrapper(peoplePickerElementId, null, schema);
Here is the link from Microsoft explaining it.
How to: Use the client-side People Picker control in SharePoint-hosted apps: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/jj713593.aspx
Appreciate any help or workaround here.
Thanks.Hi,
In my case im usign customize people picker. it is better to use in delelopement since you have the control and customization.
I have used select2 (https://select2.github.io/examples.html) drop down control and create a people picker
You can use the same REST call to populate data.
function initApproversPicker(success, fail) {
var data = { results: [] };
var executor = new SP.RequestExecutor($$.getAppWebUrlUrl());
executor.executeAsync(
url: $$.getAppWebUrlUrl() + "/_api/web/siteusers",

headers: { "Accept": "application/json; odata=verbose" },
success: function (dt) {
$.each(JSON.parse(dt.body).d.results, function (i, ele) {
data.results.push({ id: ele.Id, text: ele.Title });

$("#WFApprovers").select2({ data: data, multiple: true });

I want to fetch all mails in the Inbox folder using EWS Managed API and store them as .eml.
I can store file once I get the file content as a byte[] will
not be difficult, as I can do:
File.WriteAllBytes("c:\\mails\\"+mail.Subject+".eml",content);
The problem will be to fetch (1) all mails with (2)
all headers (like from, to, subject) (I am keeping information of those values of from, to and
other properties somewhere else, so I need them too) and (3)byte[]
EmailMessage.MimeContent.Content. Actually I am lacking understanding of
Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ItemView,
Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.BasePropertySet and
Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ItemSchema
thats why I am finding it difficult.
My primary code is:
When I create PropertySet as
follows:
PropertySet properties = new PropertySet(BasePropertySet.FirstClassProperties, ItemSchema.MimeContent);
I get following exception:
The property MimeContent can't be used in FindItem requests.
I dont understand
(Q1) What these ItemSchema and BasePropertySet are
(Q2) And how we are supposed to use them
So I removed ItemSchema.MimeContent:
PropertySet properties = new PropertySet(BasePropertySet.FirstClassProperties);
I wrote simple following code to get all mails in inbox:
ItemView view = new ItemView(50);
view.PropertySet = properties;
FindItemsResults<Item> findResults;
List<EmailMessage> emails = new List<EmailMessage>();
do
findResults = service.FindItems(WellKnownFolderName.Inbox, view);
foreach (var item in findResults.Items)
emails.Add((EmailMessage)item);
Console.WriteLine("Loop");
view.Offset = 50;
while (findResults.MoreAvailable);
Above I kept page size of ItemView to
50, to retrieve no more than 50 mails at a time, and then offsetting it by 50 to get next 50 mails if there are any. However it goes in infinite loop and continuously prints Loop on
console. So I must be understanding pagesize and offset wrong.
I want to understand
(Q3) what pagesize, offset and offsetbasepoint in ItemView constructor
means
(Q4) how they behave and
(Q5) how to use them to retrieve all mails in the inbox
I didnt found any article online nicely explaining these but just giving code samples. Will appreciate question-wise explanation despite it may turn long.1) With FindItems it will only return a subset of Item properties see
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb508824(v=exchg.80).aspx for a list and explanation. To get the mime content you need to use a GetItem (or Load) I would suggest you read
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/exchangedev/archive/2010/03/16/loading-properties-for-multiple-items-with-one-call-to-exchange-web-services.aspx which also covers of paging as well.
3) offset is from the base your setting the offset to 50 each time which means your only going to get the 50 items from the offset of 50 which just creates an infinite loop. You should use
view.Offset
= +50;
to increment the Offset although it safer to use
view.Offset += findResults.Items.Count;
which increments the offset based on the result of the last FindItems operation.
5) try something like
ItemView iv = new ItemView(100, 0);
FindItemsResults<Item> firesults = null;
PropertySet psPropSet = new PropertySet(BasePropertySet.IdOnly);
iv.PropertySet = psPropSet;
PropertySet itItemPropSet = new PropertySet(BasePropertySet.IdOnly) { ItemSchema.MimeContent, ItemSchema.Subject, EmailMessageSchema.From };
do
firesults = service.FindItems(WellKnownFolderName.Inbox, iv);
service.LoadPropertiesForItems(firesults.Items, itItemPropSet);
foreach(Item itItem in firesults){
Object MimeContent = null;
if(itItem.TryGetProperty(ItemSchema.MimeContent,out MimeContent)){
Console.WriteLine("Processing : " + itItem.Subject);
iv.Offset += firesults.Items.Count;
} while (firesults.MoreAvailable);
Cheers
Glen
.Offset += fiFitems.Items.Count; -
How to delete all objects in a package?
Hello,
I've seen a similar question here. But is there a tool or a smart way to delete all objects in a dev class or a transport request?
Best Regards
VolkerThese are really 3 questions??
1. To delete objects in a request there are a number of ways, here is one:
Position cursor on modifiable request.
Double click on request and choose 'Objects' tab
Choose object line you want to delete and click 'Delete'
Save your changes.
2. To delete objects in a Dev Class:
Go to work bench --> edit object, Class and give your class name, you will see delete option at the bottom of the screen.
3. How to delete all objects in a package:
here is a link with the steps you need for this: http://benxbrain.com/en/index.do?onInputProcessing(brai_object_thread)&001_threadid=0000161442&sysid=WP5&pgmid=R3TR&object=DOMA&obj_name=DEVCLASS&child_param= -
How to keep all developments in one package
Hi
I have a requirement
In my company one new training server was installed for which all developments should be copied from other servers client.
For this i have to keep all developments in one package.
Can anyone suggest me how to do this
urgent plz
thanks in advance
sateeshHello Sateesh
In the transport organizer (<b>SE10</b>) you can create a workbench request of the following type: <b>Relocation of objects with package change</b>
That's the documentation of this request type:
Select relocation of objects with package change
Relocations of objects with a package change are transports with which
o you change the original location of the objects entered and
o reassign the objects to an appropriate new package.
Use
The package change means that you can automatically adjust the transport
attributes of the objects to the new development system. This means that
you edit the objects immediately after they have been imported into the
target system.
I have not yet used this kind of request but with some playing around you should easily find out how it works. I am sure this is (one of the possible) solutions to your problem.

Lookup in transformation not fetching all records
Hi Experts,
In the routine of the transformation of a DSO (say DSO1), i have written a look-up on other DSO (say DSO2) to fetch records. I have used all the key fields of DSO2 in the Select statement, Still the look-up is not fetching all the records in DSO1. There is difference in the aggregated value of the Key Figure of both the DSOs. Please suggest, how can i remove this error.
Thanks,
Tanushreehi tanushree,
The code which yu have written in the field routine for lookup is not fetching the data. you can debug the field routine code in the simulation mode of execution of DTP by keeping a break point after the transformation.
you can test the routine with out actually loading the data..
double click rule where you have routine and in the below you have option called test routine.
here you can pass input parameters..
i hope it will give you an idea.

Cycle Counting is not fetching All Items in Different Classes
Hi All,
My client has performed cycle counting. Ideally system has to fetech all the items in different classes. But in cycle counting listing report only able to fetch few items.
Please let me know are we missing something ?
And please let me know the significance of "Assign Items". How to put the same.
Regards,
John
Edited by: 911765 on Mar 14, 2012 4:36 AM1) CC won't fetch all items in all classes.
It will look at only those items that are present in the assign items screen.
It will only consider those items which have cycle count enabled flag set to Yes in item master
It will only consider those items that have a non-zero frequency for the ABC class of the item.
It will only print those items that have some onhand if you run the CC to ignore zero onhand items.
2) You can either manually add items to a CC in the assign items window.
OR
You can reinitialize or update the CC (by going to the 3rd tab on CC screen)
Make sure that you have run ABC compilation so each item has a ABC class. You should also specify the frequency for each ABC class.

How can I compile all functions, procedures and packages with a script?
I need to compile all functions, procedures and packages of 5 schemas (users) with a script.
How can I do it?
Thanks!you can create a script to select all invalid objects in those schemas Since Oracle 8 introduced NDS this approach has struck me as a trifle old fashioned. It's much simpler to loop round the query in PL/SQL and use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE to fire off the DDL statements. No scripts, no muss, no fuss.
Having said that, the problem with this approach and also with using DBMS_UTILITY.COMPILE_SCHEMA is that they do not compile all the invalid objects in dependency order. This may result in programs being invalidated by the subsequent compilation of dependencies. This is due to the introduction of Java into the database.
The UTLRP script is much better, because it (usually) avoids cyclic references. But you still may need to run it more than once.
In general it is better to avoid sledgehammer recompilations (like DBMS_UTILITY.COMPILE_SCHEMA, which starts by invalidating all the objects). If we have twenty invalid objects, nineteen of which are dependencies of the twentieth, we actually only need to recompile the master object, as recompiling it will trigger the recompilation of all the others.

If any of the queries are not used for a long time then we can delete it with the user's/owner's approval.
Is there anyway we can desing such query .
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
My requirement is that we want to create a new query which should fetch the details information of already existing queries.
Like who has created that query, how frequently the use it etc...
Whenever we run the new query it should give information of all other existing queries.

Fetching all the locked user's list
Hi All,
Is there any command in Solaris to fetch all the users whose accounts are locked?
Regards,
GauravThe following would also work (in bash), it should show all users without passwords (which might be a better idea since locked accounts also might have 'X' or something else as passwords (useful if you want to disable logins but still be able to run cronjobs as the user)):
for i in `cat /etc/shadow`; do user=`echo $i |cut -d: -f1`; pw=`echo $i | cut -d: -f2`; if [ `echo $pw | wc -m` != "14" ]; then echo "$user does not have a password"; fi; done.7/M.
