Fetch data from C251 transaction - print master recipe

Hi ,
I am working on SAP xMII. I need to fetch the data from c251 transaction and show it to the user.
The problem is that xMII can call BAPI or can listen to IDOC messages. I could not find any BAPI inside c251 transaction program.
Following are my queries
1) Is it possible to convert a transaction program into BAPI?
2) Is it possible to generate IDOC messages using c251 transaction?
3) Is there any BAPI which will fetch the information of c251 transaction?

SAP and GTS are linked through a RFC destination and the RFC user ID is used to make the call. Once this is set up, you can call GTS through a Function Module call. The set up is normally done by BASIS team
From the program /SAPSLL/SAPLCD_PI_R3 you can drill down to get details of the specific user-exit which you can use to call GTS tables for specific data.

U're right.
When it creates a smartform it needs to decide when the main data have to be extracted:
- or in driver program
- or in smartforms
The difference can be in the performance, because the program can select the data only once, the smartforms needs to extract them everytime it's called.
I prefer to use a complex structure for the smartform interface as so all data I need are in only one structure, the problem is the complex structure is harder to be managed.

Fetch data from text file to print

Dear All,
I am trying to fetch data from a text file in to Oracle database to print.
The problem I have is that I cannot gather data because this is a statement, generated by a report utility and the data consist of multiple dimensions.
First 3 fields of data are in the first 3 rows of a page and the rest is displayed column wise for the next 20 rows (5th row to 24th Row). Then there is a page break character ASCII (012) (Hex - 0C)then the next record starts.
Please give me a solution to fetch first 3 lines to one master table & the column of data to a detail table.
I konw I can fetch data using SQL Loader but the problem is how can I seperate multiple dimention data.

Multiple select queries used in Excel BI report ,fetching data from Sharepoint DB(SP2010_Prod_ProjectServer) causing blockage on DB ,when more than one workbook(same copy of Excel BI Report) refreshed using Refresh All option.

I am using mutiple select queries to fetch data from Project Server 2010 DB(its sharepoint DB) and these queries fetch data in Excel BI report by establishing connection with DB using instance name and all. I have enhance all these select queries and data
is being fetched in secs. but when more than one copy of same Excel BI report is refreshed using 'Refresh All' option, then these select queries cause blockage on DB.
Please let me know mitigation for this blockage issue.
Should I use begin transaction and commit transaction statements/ shared lock statements.

We are trying to immitate the standard transaction COOIS but with some extra features to get a report.
We have a particular select in the custom code which is timing out and taking an unusually long time(infact never finished the select) if run in background.

The standard code returns the entries in blink of the eye whereas the custom code runs on for ever. Both the for all entries tables have the same entries and use the same primary key.
I also tried to fetch data from the table directly using SE16 and I input only 10 confirmations(RUECK-primary key) into the table and I try to execute this in background and it also seems to run for ever. Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong here? Pointers will be appreciated.

Eliminate duplicate while fetching data from source

100          12345          01-jan-2000          DEBITNow as per my requirement, i need to fetch data from CISTOMER_TRANSACTION table for those customer which has transaction in last 10 years. In my above data, customer 12345 has transaction in last 10 years, whereas for customer 23456, does not have transaction in last 10 years so will eliminate it.
Now, CUSTOMER_TRANSACTION table has approximately 100 million records. So, we are fectching data in batches. Batching is divided into months. Total 120 months. Below is my query.

Now the problem is duplication of records.
while fetching data for jan-2009, it will get cust_id 12345 and will fetch all 3 records and load it into target.
while fetching data for jan-2010, it will get cust_id 12345 and will fetch all 3 records and load in into target.
So instead of having only 3 records, for customer 12345 it will be having 6 records. Can someone help me on how can i eliminate duplicate records from getting in.
As of now i have 2 ways in mind.
1. Fetch all records at once. Which is impossible as it will give space issue.
2. After each batch, run a procedure which will delete duplicate records based on cust_loc, cut_id and transaction_date. But again it will have performance problem.
I want to eliminate it while fetching data from source.

You can do it this way....

How to Fetch Data From Standard Table MARA and Display using BOPF ?

In BOPF creation of Quey to a node fetches data from the Data Base Table attached to that Node,
But in my requirement I have to fetch data Present in a Standard table and Display it in the FPM List Using FBI.
** Can we Fetch the data From Standard Table and fill the Node in BOPF, Is this possible as the standard Table do not contain KEY field which BOPF uses for Data Fetching ?

When I create a Sub Node to a Root Node, I am able to get this option to make this sub node as a Transient Node .
By selecting 'Standard<-->Extended' option in the Menu item 'GoTo' I am able to get this Transient Node check box field for the Sub Nodes.
I want to make a ROOT Node as a Transient Node.
(Which Version you are using, and which transaction you are using to create BO . we are using BOBX Transaction, Version Ehp 6 )

Avoid conditionally suprressed sub report to fetch data from DB.

Do we have any option in crystal designer to avoid a suppressed subreport to fetch data from DB?
I have two sub reports in Report Footers say 'a' and 'b'.Report footer sections have a suppression formula based on parameter input.
Hence based on the parameter input only one sub report will get printeded.However I noticed that only one sub report is getting printed but both sub reports are fetching the data from DB.
I have also tried putting the suppression formula in suppress formula field of Sub report using format sub report option but it did not help.
Any idea how can we avoid a subreport that is suppressed to fetch data from DB.

Suppress can only suppress the data, it cannot stop the query attached being running from the database, One thing you can do only if your input parameter is a DB level parameter is you can have a case statement in the where clause of your query to avoid reading the records there by increasing the performance of the query.
Say, your parameter value 1 specifies that you want to suppress the report and in other words, you dont want to read the records from the DB.

i check the ZTABLE where it does not create any record because data is not commited into ZTABLE upto this point, but just after it i have written code for fetching data from ZTABLE but i am able to get this new record in lt.
Can anybody please explain that from where this serach RFC is providing data because inside serach i am simply selecting data from ZTABLE.

                 Thanks for reply , i checked in ZTABLE ,before search RFC call data is not there but if i commit explicitly only then it is showing data in ZTABLE. Actually my requirement is different -
I have two RFCs 1. Create 2. Search , Now from web dynpro user will call first Create RFCs but at this point it should not insert record in ZTABLE and just after it user will call another search RFC and in this search he should be able to get these newly created records.
I want to have the functionality which a user gets when working with normal database front end like SQLPLus for Oracle. In these scenarios we see that whenever user does any insert or update the data sits in the table but still it is not committed. So there he fires Select query he sees the inserted data. But if he logs off from SQL PLUS and then logs in again, and fires Select query he does not see the data as it was not committed. I want a similiar functionalty in which if user inserts the data through Create RFC and fires the Select query through Search RFC then he can see the newly Created data also even though this data is not committed.
Although if i call create RFC in update task it will not update ZTABLE but in this situation , if user will call search RFC he will not be able to get newly created records.
So my requirement is that i should be able to get those records which are not commited in ZTABLE .If you have still any doubt regarding my question then please let me know.
