Fetch dollar to euro currency conversion rate from the interwebs ...

Hey guys,
this might sound like a dumb question to you, but is there a way
to fetch the dollar to euro currency conversion rate from let's say
yahoo finance into a single cell inside numbers 09?
Basically what want is, just a plain output in a number like:
0,7421 so that I can use it to convert various values.
I'm just sick of going to the website every day and copy paste the
value into my numbers file.
I'd really really appreciate it, if someone could help me.
I don't know anything about apple scripting, but I think this might
be the way to go?
Best, JK

    Hi Experts:
Working with manager user, Iu2019m trying to create a Goods Receipt PO through the Draw Document Wizard, but the option u201CUse Current Exchange Rate from the Exchange Rate Tableu201D it is not working, it does not bring me the USD exchange rate of today defined in  the table;  it brings the USD exchange rate from the base document (AP Reserve Invoice), and Iu2019m not allowed to change it. What should I do?. We are working wih SAP Business One SP01 PL06. Thanks

    Hi,
There is a SAP Note related to your issue, have a look at this.

  • Derivation of Exch Rate from the invoice item

    Hi
When we are using F-28 (Incoming Payment)transaction to receive from customer we can receive an amount which is to be applied partially to many line items. In this case when the system creates a residual line item it valuates this item based on the day rate maintained in the system or the document header exch rate. We want the system to derive the rate from the invoice which is being cleared. Please suggest if there is any exit or any substitution exit that can be utilised
    Regards
    Venkat

    hi,
so you've to split your payment / group by valuta date
i'd create an abap, which posts the payment and than clears the corresponding item of the invoice.

  • Currency Conversion - Rate Type Selection

I have a BEx query that displays key figure in 3 columns inside a structure, using variable rate types (one rate type per column).  We have rate types P, P1, and P2 loaded into currency tables.
I run this query with the following selection criteria:
Column 1 -- Key Figure in Local Currency (BRL)
Column 2 -- Key Figure converted from BRL to EUR using rate type P
Column 3 -- Key Figure converted from BRL to EUR using rate type P2
For some reason column 2 is converted using rate type P1, instead of rate type P, even though rate type P1 is not even part of the selection screen.  Column 3 is converted correctly, using rate type P2.  I enter the same time period for all 3 columns, and rate types P and P2 both exist for this time period.
Do you know what's going on here?
    Thank you.
    Nadia

    Hi,
see if there is any currency conversuion type used in you report.
It can be checked in the properties of the key figures.
you can go to RRC3 to check which echange arte is used by this currency conversion.
Or if currency conversion is happening at the update rule then check if which is the exchange rate used there.
Once you have seen the exchange rate...go to t-code SPRO
    SAP Netweavet->General Settings->Currencies->Enter Exchange rate .
here you cah check the latest exchange rate ...from currency to currency...and the values...based on settings of you currency conversion type it will chose the factor.

The report shows proper value for JAN, FEB 2011, but when we execute the report for March2011 it shows wrong value.
Month               |   BW Production Value    |           BW TEST Value
    Jan2011 u2013        |   102,459                         |              102,459

    Hi,
My problem here is that the values for JAN and FEB are correct with their decimal values but only for March it is 2 decimals higher.
Hence the TCURX table wonu2019t come into picture, since if TCURX entry was incorrect then it should show wrong values for JAN and FEB also.
When I checked the data in cubes for BW Test and Production the values for March are same still in the report I am getting the difference.
    Report Output:-
    March2011:-
    BW Test                    12,056,385
    BW Production          120,564
    Feb 2011:-

  • Getting currency conversion rate

    Hi,
I need to convert any non-USD currency amount to USD. I know that the rates are stored in the table TCURR. I want to know how do i get the today's currency rate from this table. Exchange rate  type I'll be using is M.
    Thanks,
    Prasy

    Hi,
For table TCURR, you can change the currency for the nearest date compared to current day.
But for using the FM: CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY,you can change the currency for the current day if you filled in the date below. You can have a try.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY'
      EXPORTING
    *   CLIENT                  = SY-MANDT
        *date                    = sy_datum*

  • Reg:Currency Conversion Rates

    Hi All,
How can I get the history rate and Conversion rate for a particular currency for a particular date.
For example I have given INR as currency in my screen on a particular date(Hist Date). Then the rate of INR against USD will be the HISTORY RATE.
And if I change the currency to some other currency on some other date (CONV Date) then the rate of that currency against USD  on that date will be the CONVERSION RATE.
So how can I calculate these.Do we have any function modules or any tables in which I can get the SAP Exchange rates, so that my issue gets resolved.
Please help me in resolving this issue.

  • Currency conversion display in the report

    Hi,
I've a report which displays Vendor Name, sold to party, Sold-To-Party No, Bstnk, Buyer No,Distribution Channel, Division, LI/PO Number, Sales Order,Order Description, audat, vdatu, vbeln, aemenge, aewavwr, kwert, aenetwr, stwae, etc fields in output for a given range of dates. mostly these fields r taken frm S902 n VBAK.
At the bottom of this report i need to keep a currency conversion display as for sy-datum.
Ex: FROM --> TO     EXCHANGE RATE/CONVERSION FACTOR        DATE
          CAD --> USD      0.95776                     1:1                                 20.02.2009
          EUR --> USD      1.44484                     1:1                                 20.02.2009
          JPY -->  USD      95.88647                10,000:1                            20.02.2009.
for this purpose earlier they used function-pool RSAQEXCE in other program.
i exactly dont know wther this one is std program r query. in this they used func mod "convert_to_local_currency" also.
please let me know how sh i pass my output internal table to get desired output like this.
    Please respond qk.

    Hi Raja,
    Please note reply from Hari.
Note: Most of the currency conversion FMS won't work if u try to run in SE37
But the same FMs works when u execute from program. Please try to use these FMs for conversion.
U just have to pass source amount, source and target currencies and date.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

  • BEX Currency conversion created by the business

    Hello,
I need to convert from USD to other currencies defined by the users in R/3. So the business figures the exchange rate in R/3 and I need to take that value and use it for converting the date in BEx.  Any help?  This is a very urgent requirement so anything would be great.

    Hi,
You can set up currency converison in the bex query by right clicking the KF and choosing the currency conversion type and a fixed currency to convert to, or providing a variable where users can decide the currency they want.
To get the rates into BW you can schedule a job (RSIMPCURR) with daily frequency.

  • Exchange rate from the previous date

    Hello,
Is there a way to define the system to take the last available exchange, if todayu2019s rate doesnu2019t exists?
    Thanks
    Revital

    Hello Revital,
    Try this FMS query:
    SELECT TOP 1 T0.Rate FROM [SBO-COMMON\].[dbo\].[ORTT\] T0
    WHERE T0.Rate != 0 AND T0.Currency = 'USD'
    ORDER BY T0.ratedate DESC
You may replace the currency to the one you need.

  • How do I output the smoothest video when changing or mixing frame rates from the original footage?

I have been experimenting with various Media Encoder settings, and wondered if there was anything else I can try to get the smoothest video output possible, especially when changing frame rate and possibly resolution.  For clarification, let me start from the beginning and explain what I'm doing and what I've tried so far.  I'll try to be as brief as possible, but if I do go into too much detail, I apologize.
My original footage is AVCHD 1080p - 60fps.  (my camera only does 60fps...specifically 59.94fps)  We're not talking interlaced video here, I'm staying away from that.  This is definitely full frame, progressive video at 60 frames (not fields) per second.  My output will ultimately be for the web.  I have been keeping my output codec (H.264) and bit-rate (VBR 2-pass, relatively high-bitrate) consistent, and have been trying numerous output options and even sequence settings to see what would yield the best results.  I am using Premiere Pro CS5.5 along with Media Encoder.  Here's what I've done and the results I've observed:
    1.  I created a sequence with 1080p - 59.94fps settings to match my original footage.  I then output both 1080p and 720p versions at 59.94fps, and at 29.97fps.  The 59.94fps output files looked absolutely great, as would be expected.  Extremely smooth.  The 29.97fps output files were generally smooth, but not near as smooth as the 59.94fps.  This is expected since it's half the frame rate as my original footage.  However, my question is this:  What exactly is Media Encoder doing when "down converting" from 60p to 30p?  From a technical stand point, is it dropping every other frame?  I'm just curious to understand exactly what it does.  I tried the Frame Blending option as well, and that only yielded a bit more blur to the images which wasn't desirable for any of the output files.
    2.  Just to see what would happen, I created a sequence with 1080p - 29.97 settings.  I then output both 1080p and 720p versions at 29.97fps.  The video was much more choppy in these cases, even with Frame Blending on.  Now, I know not matching my sequence settings with my original media isn't ideal, but I again just want to understand why this yields less smooth video than the 29.97fps options above.  Why does cutting the sequence settings frame rate in half from the original, then outputting the same frame rate as the sequence yield video that is not as smooth?
    3.  Next, I wanted to try mixing frame rates to see how Premiere and Media Encoder handled the footage and output files.  Premiere handled it great, no issues there.  However, I had some interesting things happen when I output the files.  Here's what I did:  I created a sequence with 1080p - 59.94fps to match my original footage.  Then I took the same exact footage that was in my sequence, copied it in my project panel and interpreted it at both 23.976 and 29.97 fps, yielding slow motion video.  The slow motion video looked great in Premiere, so I went ahead and just added it to my sequences, along with the original 59.94 footage.  I also created separate sequences for the 29.97 and 23.976 footage respectively, each with matching sequence settings, then added a nested sequence to another original footage sequence (with 59.94fps sequence settings) to see which yielded the best results.  Basically, I'm trying to output 59.94fps that match my original footage, but also throw in some slow motion footage at different framerates.  I'll explain my results in a moment as they are a bit convoluted, however, here is my question:  When mixing frame rates and trying to output the smoothest video, am I going about this the right way?  I would assume you would use your sequence settings that match the original footage (which is what the majority of the footage will be), then bring in a nested sequence for the slow motion (as oppose to just dropping the slow motion video directly into my main sequence), and then output to the same frame rate of the majority of the footage, in this case 59.94fps. Is there a better workflow for this?
The results to #3 above were as follows.  Initially, it looked like it didn't matter if I nested the slow motion sequence into my main sequence, or simply dropped the actual slow motion video into my original 59.94fps sequence.  It seemed to produce smooth results either way.  Frame Blending blurred the video a bit, but didn't seem to make much difference, and quite honestly I like the footage without Frame Blending in general.  However, when I closed down Premiere, and opened the output files later (opening in Quicktime), the footage looked choppy.  In fact, it would go from choppy to smooth and back, almost like it had an irregular cadence (don't know if I'm using "cadence" in the right context here).  I would then open up Premiere again, import the output footage into my project panel, and play the footage in Premiere, and it would play back smooth again. Is this a Quicktime issue?  I was playing 1080p 59.94fps files when this happened, so maybe it's just because it's a large file.  Doesn't seem to have issues with the 720p files I created.  But it sure threw me off with my testing because I then started second guessing the settings I was using.  My iMac is the latest 2011 model with plenty of RAM, so I wouldn't think it's the computer.  Thoughts?
    4.  Next, I noticed on ALL my output files (again, using the H.264 codec from Media Encoder) that the color of my video seemed to flatten quite a bit.  It seems that the original footage has more contrast and saturation than the output files.  I figured maybe this was just how it was, but when I re-imported the output files back into Premiere, they looked IDENTICAL to the original footage.  And in Media Encoder's Source/Output windows, I don't see any difference there either. Is Quicktime again the culprit here, doing some odd things to the color of my videos?
    5.  Regarding Frame Blending, when is the best situation to enable this option in Media Encoder?  I've read it is when mixing frame rates, but I honestly didn't see too much of a change except for a bit more blur, which I didn't care for.
    6.  Lastly, my conclusion is that 60fps yields the smoothest video, which is an obvious conclusion.  However, I know that 60fps isn't the best or easiet frame rate for web delivery.  It seems 30p is more the standard.  Are there any integrated web players that would play 60fps?  Can you get 60fps video on YouTube/Vimeo?  If yes to any of these questions, can they do 720p and 1080p at 60fps?
Those are all my questions.  I hope I am clear enough without being overly wordy and hopefully I didn't put too many questions into one post.  Thanks in advance for any insight, I really appreciate it.

Did you ever figure out which output worked the best? I have the same original footage; trying to determine the best output settings to make a dvd for tv.
    thanks!

  • Currency Conversion for Exchange rate type "AS02"

    Hi Experts,
I am gonna post the most challenging problem (regarding currency conversion) I ever faced in my 1 year of BW Carrier.Kindly provide a solution.
There are three types of currency to be used in the query for Key Figure 0NET_VALUE (so total 3 Key Figures to be created)
1.Document currency (may be any currency)
       2.Local Currency (must be EURO)
       3.Global Currency (must be USD)
From Document currency to Local Currency(EURO) we are using Exchange rate Type "M" (in Conversion Type created in Trans RRC1) [There is no problem in this conversion]
    Problem starts now--->
From Local Currency(EURO) to Global Currency(USD) we have to use Exchange rate type "AS02" (in conversion type to be created in RRC1)
but there is a Business requirement  that currency rate should be as per the last day of the entered period;and this logic should work for the range of periods also.
    Example :
we are executing query for the period 006/2006 (posting Period)
Last day of this period is 06/30/2006,
Currency rate would be as per 06/30/2006
And this currency rate should be same throughout the period 006/2006 in query
The example was for single period, but logic must be incorporated for the range of the periods.

    Hi..
There is no corresponding source key figure in the InfoSource for the target key figureof the InfoCube.
    a. A source key figure of the same type can be assigned to the target key figure
(for example, sales revenue instead of sales quantity revenue).
If the currencies of both of the key figures are the same, no currency
    translation can take place.
If the currencies are different, a translation can take place either using a
currency translation type or by simply assigning a currency.
The following table provides an overview of possible combinations with different
currencies in the source and target key figures:
if Source key figure currency  is fixed , Target key figure currency is variable  then Currency translation (CT)  No CT
if Source key figure currency  is fixed , Target key figure currency is fixed  then Currency translation (CT)   CT
if Source key figure currency  is variable , Target key figure currency is fixed then Currency translation (CT)   CT
if Source key figure currency  is variable  , Target key figure currency is variable  then Currency translation (CT)  CT or assignment
    b. If there is no corresponding source key figure of the same type, then you have
to fill the key figure for the data target from a routine.
If the target key figure has a fixed currency, no currency translation is
carried out. This means that if translation is required, you have to execute
    it in the routine.
If the target key figure has a variable currency, you also have to assign
a variable source currency to the routine. Using the F4 help you can
select a currency from the variable currencies in the communication
    structure. You have two options:
    – You can select a variable currency and assign it.
    – You select a currency translation type and a currency into which you
    wish to translate (‘To’ currency).
The ‘To’ currency is, by default, the target currency if it is included in the
    communication structure.
Creating a Routine for Currency Translation:
If you want to translate currencies in the update even though the currency translation is not
available for one of the above reasons, you can create a routine. Choose Routine, set the
Unit Calculation in the Routine and choose Create Routine. In the routine editor you get
the additional return parameter UNIT, the value of which is used to determine the target
    1.  save the query  and it under role
see to it is in   :  Restricted and calculated key figures --->   properties of k.f
    2. exeute the query
    3. the currency translation --> by target currency  usd  choose  OK
conversion type :  MEANTODAY Fixed target currency current date (MT)
    4.  Go back to the query definition by chossing chage query ( global definiton)
    5.  in the context menu for % share sales vouume of incoming orders,  choose properties --> formula collision -->  result form this formula choose OK
    Note that -
your should alos set the currency translation in the  properties for the  two key figures sales voule EUR , choose properties ---> currency  conversion key :  fixed target currency ,  currrent date ( MT) -->  target currency  : American Dollar .  choose   OK
<b>The translation key is a combination of different parameters that establish how the exchange rate for the translation is executed.
The parameters that determine the exchange rate are the source and the target currency, the exchange rate type and the time reference for the translation.</b>
The source currency is determined from the data record or dynamically from the master data of the specified InfoObject (currency attribute)
The target currency can either be fixed in the translation key or selected at the time of translation.
You can also use an InfoObject (currency attribute) to determine the target currency.
The exchange rate type distinguishes exchange rates that are valid in the same time frame next to each other, for example, the bid rate, ask rate or middle rate. The exchange rate types are stored and can be maintained in a central table (TCURV).
The time reference for the currency translation can be either fixed or variable
The fixed time reference can either be a fixed key date that is stored in the translation type, or be determined using the system date when executing the currency translation.
If the time reference is variable, then the point in time for the exchange rate determination comes from the value of a time characteristic (InfoObject). The reference can, for example, be the end or the start of a fiscal year or a calendar year, a period and a month – or even to the exact day. It can also be determined using a customer-specific InfoObject (for example, trading day).
    Currency translation in the BEx
When selecting a translation key with a fixed target currency     this currency will be added automatically to the query definition
Also, you can use translation keys selecting their target currency at the time of translation. These can be applied in two different ways:
Selection of a specific target currency in the query definition (1)
    Entry by variable (2)
Dynamic translation keys require input from the InfoCube !
InfoObject value will be read during query execution
    Examples:
    dynamic time reference (p.eg. 0CALDAY)
          time characteristic
target currency determined by InfoObject (currency attribute)
characteristic which contains currency in its attribute table
the corresponding InfoObject has to be part of the InfoCube
1.Define the currency attribute in the InfoObject maintenance
The currency attribute has to be a unit InfoObject of type currency
The unit InfoObject must be an attribute of the characteristic
The currency attribute should be filled in the master data table of the corresponding InfoObject (manual maintenance or upload via InfoSource)
2.Enter the InfoObject in the translation key maintenance
Only InfoObjects with a currency attribute can be used in translation keys (p.eg. 0COMP_CODE)
At the time of currency translation the value for the source currency / target currency is then derived for every record from the master data table of the specified InfoObject
All values for a query are translated ad hoc (after having executed the query) using a translation key
Depending on the translation key a fixed target currency will be used for translation or you will be able to select the target currency
The ad hoc currency translation offers only restricted functionality (selection of translation key and target currency) compared to the currency translation in the query definition
Do not forget to create your translation keys before starting your work in the Business Explorer Analyzer
    Example:
You load the following record to your InfoCube:
    Company Code:                1000
    Amount in Source Currency:      500,-
    Source Currency:                FRF
    Target Currency:               ?
In the Update rules, you are now using a translation key which derives the target currency from the InfoObject 0COMP_CODE. During the Update Process the target currency will then be read for Company Code 1000 from the master date table of 0COMP_CODE.
With the currency translation in the Business Explorer, the source currency can currently only be determined from the data record.
Only translation keys with a fixed exchange rate type can be used in the BEx
Translation keys with a dynamic time reference (from an InfoObject) can only be used in the query definition. It is not possible to fill the InfoObject by a variable !
Translation keys getting their target currency from a currency attribute can only be selected in the query definition
When getting the dynamic reference from an InfoObject (p.eg. 0CALDAY) the currency translation will apply to each record read from the database. That means it will use the date in this record for the currency translation.
When using a variable you will restrict the output of your query to a certain amount of data. For example, you would translate all invoices of March 11 with the translation date March 11
This means, the requirement “show me all invoices in my cube in group currency, conversion date: 14.07.2001” could not be solved by a variable input for 0CALDAY
    I hope this would help...
    with regards,
    hari
