I have to fetch all data from infotype 0581,can you suggest me how to do this
in sap abap-hr.
I am not using LDB in my report.

Hi Folks,
I would require help to write the PCR for the following scenario
The PCR has to check whether there is entry in the wagetype 1LPK in Infotype 0015 and if the value is greater than Zero, then it will make the value in the Technical Wagetype /3I1 as blank.(which is passed thru the function INS88)
Eg: In IT0015 - 1LPK = 2000 then make /3I1 as blank if not don't disturb it.

Fetching data from LDB

Hello Guys,
I'm new to ABAP-HR. I have used PNPCE LDB in my program. Now I have to make the Employment status as obligatory.
Depending on the period entered along with the Employment status, I need to select the data from infotype.
Only I want the master data screen and none of the other options should be working. The other options available should not be working when a program is executed.
Kindly guide me, if any link is available then kindly provide me as I was not able to get it in the forum.

Use get pernr event after start-of-selection.
Get perner will get u data based on selection screen values.
example:
tables: pernr.
infotypes: 0000,0001.
start-of-selection.
GET PERNR.
This event fetches all data of pernrs which are selected on the selection screen. it fecthes data from infotypes 0000, 0001,
end-of-selection.

Authorization control when fetching data from PA OM tables

Hi all,
I want to know how to control DB level authorization using HR_READ_INFOTYPE and RP_READ_INFOTYPE. Taht is, i want to check whetehr the user who is executing a report is having read authorization for that infotype. If not, i should not fetch the data and the report should return error message?
Instead of authorization (std, custom) object, i want to control when fetching data from PA and OM tables in HR. How to achieve the same?

It gives an exception when I try to run the query, and I'm trying to fetch all columns not only 'taskid'

Yes, with the exact sql query he posted. It gives that exception.I guess you are trying to fetch all the columns by using the above query which i posted. No you should not fetch all the columns. Because the rs will only the three columns.
Also, use 'as' with that query like,

RFC fetching data from table which is not commited

here in first RFC call i am creating a record in ZTABLE , and then at break-point
i check the ZTABLE where it does not create any record because data is not commited into ZTABLE upto this point, but just after it i have written code for fetching data from ZTABLE but i am able to get this new record in lt.
Can anybody please explain that from where this serach RFC is providing data because inside serach i am simply selecting data from ZTABLE.

                 Thanks for reply , i checked in ZTABLE ,before search RFC call data is not there but if i commit explicitly only then it is showing data in ZTABLE. Actually my requirement is different -
I have two RFCs 1. Create 2. Search , Now from web dynpro user will call first Create RFCs but at this point it should not insert record in ZTABLE and just after it user will call another search RFC and in this search he should be able to get these newly created records.
I want to have the functionality which a user gets when working with normal database front end like SQLPLus for Oracle. In these scenarios we see that whenever user does any insert or update the data sits in the table but still it is not committed. So there he fires Select query he sees the inserted data. But if he logs off from SQL PLUS and then logs in again, and fires Select query he does not see the data as it was not committed. I want a similiar functionalty in which if user inserts the data through Create RFC and fires the Select query through Search RFC then he can see the newly Created data also even though this data is not committed.
Although if i call create RFC in update task it will not update ZTABLE but in this situation , if user will call search RFC he will not be able to get newly created records.
So my requirement is that i should be able to get those records which are not commited in ZTABLE .If you have still any doubt regarding my question then please let me know.

You have to to specify the text node that you have created for the table that it belong to which cell in the table. Also you styles to format the text(eg: left aligned, center alinged etc)

Multiple select queries used in Excel BI report ,fetching data from Sharepoint DB(SP2010_Prod_ProjectServer) causing blockage on DB ,when more than one workbook(same copy of Excel BI Report) refreshed using Refresh All option.

I am using mutiple select queries to fetch data from Project Server 2010 DB(its sharepoint DB) and these queries fetch data in Excel BI report by establishing connection with DB using instance name and all. I have enhance all these select queries and data
is being fetched in secs. but when more than one copy of same Excel BI report is refreshed using 'Refresh All' option, then these select queries cause blockage on DB.
Please let me know mitigation for this blockage issue.
Should I use begin transaction and commit transaction statements/ shared lock statements.

How to fetch data from a SAP BW Cube via Perl/PHP on a Linux machine?

Hi all,
here's the scenario:
I need to fetch data from a cube of a remote SAP NetWeaver 7. The data will later be used in a web application based on Linux and Perl/PHP. (I'd prefer using perl for the backend and doing the business logic of the web application.)
I have:
A Linux system with all its on-board tools and scripting languages.
A user for the SAP BW which allows me to logon (very,very limited user rights, no se37,no se80,no rsaX and so on)
Access to http://<SAP BW Server>:<Port>/sap/bw/xml/soap/xmla with the above mentioned user.
My questions:
- Could you please push me into the right direction how I can realize this? E.g. by pointing to tutorials / HowTos / sample code / CPAN modules etc.. (Most information I found so far referred to software based on a different operating system and on remote function calls using custom functions.)
- I'm aware of the SAPNW::RFC CPAN module, but do I necessarily have to perform a remote function call? ( If so, is there a "standard" function I could call for accessing a cube?)

Select query taking too much time to fetch data from pool table a005

Dear all,
I am using 2 pool table a005 and a006 in my program. I am using select query to fetch data from these table. i.e. example is mentioned below.
select * from a005 into table t_a005 for all entries in it_itab
                   where vkorg in s_vkorg
                   and     matnr in s_matnr
                   and     aplp   in s_aplp
                   and     kmunh = it_itab-kmunh.
here i can't create index also as tables are pool table...If there is any solutions , than please help me for same..

it would be helpful to know what other fields are in the internal table you are using for the FOR ALL ENTRIES.
In general, you should code the order of your fields in the select in the same order as they appear in the database. If you do not have the top key field, then the entire database is read. If it's large then it's going to take a lot of time. The more key fields from the beginning of the structure that you can supply at faster the retrieval.

Generic datasource by function module to fetch data from multiple tables?

I'm writing a function module to fetch price, for generic datasource.
At first, extract test is OK. But InfoPackage never stop when loading data to PSA in BW.
And I find the example codes:

Fetching data from a table and displaying it on the text box

Hi,
I have created a dialog program in which created a container(text box) to enter data upto 1000 characters.
Iam capturing the data and storing it in a custom table. In PBO I want to fetch data from my custom table (if data is already present :1000 characters data) and display it on screen.
Please let me know how do i do it?

Hi Nitin,
We can't directly refer a view to get data.
We need to refer the tables using which a view has been created.
Using those tables, we can fetch the data as per our requirement.
For suppose, if you go to a view in SE11, then click on Tables tab, there you can get the reference tables.Then you need to check for the fileld in those tables for which you require the data.
Post the query directly on the table instead of view.

In the error it is showing that file expense_categories.csv in SOURCE_LOCATION not found but I am 100% sure that file is very much there.
Is anybody face the same issue?
Do we need to configure something before loading data from a flat file from OWB Client?
Any help would higly appreciable.

Hi Detlef / Gowtham,
Now I am able to fetch data from flat files from OWB Server as well as OWB Client.
One way I have achieved as suggested by you
1) Creating location on the OWB Client
2) Samples the files at client
3) Created & Configured external table
4) Copy all flat files on OWB Server
5) Updated the location which I created at the client.
Other way
1) Creating location on the OWB Client
2) Samples the files at client
3) Created & Configured external table
4) Copied flat files on the sever in same drive & directory . like if my all flat files are on C:\data at OWB Client then I copied flat file C:\data on the OWB Server. But this is feasible for Non-Windows.
Hence my problem solved.
