Few bugs: Video podcasts name and 12 / 24 time format

As a gift for NY I got iPod nano 5th.
Of course device look great, but...
1) I am used to watch video podcasts (CNET) on iPod. My previous iPod nano (3rd) displays podcast's episode name if I click center button during playback. It shows time than episode name at the top of screen, very handy to watch a set of episodes. My new iPod nano (5th) displays only time. So, I need stop playback and go to episodes list to check "now playing" episode name, very frustrating. Is it a bag or stupid restriction?
2) Occasionally my new iPod nano (5th) lost 24 h time format and start display AM/PM. I can't recognize why it happen, but I should go to settings to correct this. And Pedometer daily activity bars graph always displays time in AM/PM despite of time format settings. Is it a bug?

In the library we can change the order of classification of image by, time of capture, name of file etc... I'm wondering if its possible define to be always by the name of file.

And i have other question, in print label we have an option to auto rotate to feet in page to have the image using the maximum area in the page (auto rotate, zoom etc), its possible to change the orientation of the rotation to be always in the other direction?

The Muvos are USB Mass Storage devices and do not have the ability to display track information based upon ID3 tags.
The Zens all read and display track info based upon ID3 tag information that is either gathered from an online source or entered by the end-user.
If you want the track information displayed instead of the ID3 tag information, you could edit the ID3 tags and rename the title to whatever you have as the file name. Not sure why your file names would differ so much from the ID3 tag info though, almost all of my content has the same name for the filename as it does on the ID3 tag title.

I've had this issue on this machine for some time but not forever. Music playback is fine but anything video related freezes the program. When I launch the program in safe mode it works though. Clearly some add-on or file is causing it to foul up.

Additional Information
Some customers using computers containing NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA (SATA) controllers may experience unexpected behavior when playing videos in iTunes on Windows from a SATA hard drive. iTunes may unexpectedly quit or become unresponsive or the computer may unexpectedly reboot or show a blue screen. Standard IDE hard disks are unaffected by this issue. If your computer contains a standard IDE hard disk, you can copy your video files to that disk and play those copies of the files in iTunes or QuickTime Player.

Video Podcast resolutions and iPod not mixing?

When I go to export my video file from iMovie I change a few settings for output so that the video resolution is larger than 320x240. People have been telling me that they're not able to put the podcast on their video iPods. What do I have to do to get it to be able to go on their iPods?

OMG, thank you! someone who actually has the same problem as I do. Could you specify which podcasts don't sync?
By the way, the hosts are being lazy, they won't answer to this problem for some reason

A few bugs I've noticed and a suggestion

I know that this is probably the wrong area to post this, but being that it's kind of a generalized post and covered a few different topics, I figured I would just post it here.
Has anyone noticed that while using Safari, their iPhone 3G will suddenly just pop them back out to the main menu for no apparent reason? It does this with many of the applications that access the web as well, such as the AIM App.
A couple of things I would like to see in the near future; A mIRC style Internet Relay Chat app, and an app that makes the look/theme of the interface a little more easily customizable. I have seen the latter available outside of Apple's app store, so I'm a little leary of spending the money to download it and install it on my phone.

As far as programs always going back to home screen, try the following.
1. Reboot the iPhone - Hold down the home button & sleep/Wake button till you see a silver apple logo. Then let go.
Now test the Apps
2. If needed Un-sync the apps and then re-sync them to the iPhone see if it works after that
3. If needed you can force quit out of an app all together. When using the App hold down the home button and do not let go till you see it flash back to main screen. Now the program should be closed all the way down.
4. If needed restore iPhone - Please backup all data before restoring as a restore will erase all data.

Zoom while video recording (bug) - Video flickers back and forth on playback

Using iphone 5s iOS 7.0.2
If i zoom slowly during video recording, when playback the video, during the period i zoomed in or out, it just flickers back and forth (in and out). which ruins all the video.

I just tried it on my iPhone. Same specs. No issues. I'm assuming you're doing playback on your phone?

Video podcast stops and restarts

with one of my podcasts (Bush League TV), it will download completely, but after i sync it to my iPod, whenever it reaches a certain point it will stop and restart. Whenever i play it in iTunes it plays alright but is sorta slow and skippy. i have tried deleting it and then redownloading it. any ideas?

Video files delete and resynch EVERY time

Previously my iTunes left the files in my iPod alone and only synched new files. The last several times I've plugged my iPod into my computer, it deletes all of my video files and resynchs them. I don't have 2 hours every time i want to add 2 files to my iPod.

Did you use custom slow/fast motion in your video? There is a bug in iMovie '09 that can cause strange audio problems when using custom slow/fast motion. This has been experienced by many users. See for example this thread:

There are some workarounds, being the easiest one to only use what the slow motion slider snaps to instead of entering custom speed percentages.
Apart from that I'm not aware of any audio problems as you describe them.

Get file name and received date & time

Hello experts,
We are loading around 10 source files(xml) on regular basis to Target table. I have to capture source filename & received datetime of those files and status of file whether it loaded successfully or not(I can care take care of status of file). I want to automate this process using BODS and load filename, datetime and status data into one database table.
For you information: File name looks like QAS_Wareneingang_20140328-190006-438. ( from file name ..190006-438 number is random number they are generating) and Date and time is constant for that day eg: 28.03.2014 19:00

I found a solution to find and move all related filenames with timestamp to file_names.txt file using the batch script below.

cd /D G:\BAUR
dir /n Auslagerung* > G:\Dev_Users\BAUR\file_names.txt
exit
After that I used the above file as source and formatted using query transform in BODS.

How to export .MOV in desired video pixel size and in a centered format.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SPK2 and Quick Time for Windows Pro Version 7.6.5 the latest release.
I have a series of Quick Time .mov files which were shot at HD using a Canon Mark II EOS 5D camera. In total its about 28 GB of .mov files seperated into 78 different .mov clips. The movie inspector says they are .H264 format at 1920 x 1080 pixels
When I look at the QTM Other Properties Visual Settings it tells me the .mov Transformation for Normal, Display and Scaled is 1920 X 1080 pixels. I have checked 'Preserve Aspect Ratio.
I have figured out that I can drag all the individual clips into QTP thus making a single complete movie so to say. However, I have not been able to figure out how to convert this into a mpeg file (compressed ) that will display normally both on a PC when burned to DVD or to play on a standard DVD player or even play at the correct size on a PC.
*Playback size not correct:*
It also does not display at the requested size when the mpeg file is played natively on the PC wheter using Video Lan, Windows Movie Player, or just clicking on the file and letting IE open it. Their also seems to be a centering issue in which the movie is not centered in the playback window but rather is positioned in the upper left corner, theirby leaving white space to the right and bottom of the player. The original .mov file which I can view in QTP does not have this problem. In fact I have to use the Half Size option so as to view it entirely other wise its too large for my standard PC display.
I want the completed movie to appear similarly to what one would get if they were to purchase a DVD movie at the store.
I have gotten it to export in two different sizes reducing down to 256mb and 576mb respectively but both resulting mpeg files display smaller than I desire. The larger one is suppose to be displaying as 1280 x 720 pixels but does not appear to be doing so It appears more like 640 x 480 image. Also neither finished mpeg shows centered in the playback screen.
My Export Options are set as:
Movie to MPEG-4
File Format: MP4
Video Format: MPEG-4 Improved
Image Size 1280X720 HD
Preseve Aspect Ratio using Fit Within Size
Frame Rate: 29.97
Key Frame: Automatic
Resync Markers
Yes, I also tried one using the H264 option at the larger 1920 x 1080 HD format which should be the native QT format according to the movie inspector properties and likewise it does not correctly in size and in fact is blurry.
How does one take a .mov file and convert it so that it can be
centered correctly, burned onto a DVD and play like a commercial DVD does.
I have also tried Womble.com MPEG Video Wizard DVD 5.0 which does make a DVD which will play on a PC with the same incorrect video display image settings. It will not play on a DVD player.

SOLUTION
I discovered that the begining graphics of my video which were set at 1280 x 720 pixels were causing the entire video to be reduced in size. I recreated the opening graphics at 1920 x 1080 pixels added in about 90 frames of each graphic ( 3 seconds each ) and the video now converts to mpeg4 at 1280 x720 pixels filling the video screen.
Later on I will test it at the full 1920 HD conversion and report back what I find.

Premiere Pro CS5 bug editing clip name: 1 second edit time

When editing the name of a clip in the project window, Premiere forces completion an instant after entering edit mode. This doesn't happen all of the time, but after using the program for a while it starts happening. Restarting the app quites the issue for some time. Has anyone else experienced this?

Just an example that may help: I have a Wacom tablet, and it started behaving badly in Cinema 4D despite the fact that it had worked perfectly just hours before. The only thing I had done in between was rip some of my CD collection to FLAC using Exact Audio Copy. EAC was not open when the C4D pen issue appeared. I rebooted, and pen operation in C4D returned to normal. I ripped a CD or two with EAC, and the bad pen behavior in C4D returned.
I have no idea why EAC should affect pen/tablet behavior in C4D, but it does. So the issue you see in Pr may well be from unexpected and illogical sources. Regardless, I hope you get it sorted quickly.

Reminders app bug on iPhone 5s and Mac loses time/date.

I have the iPhone 5s with iOS 7.1 and my Macbook Pro with 10.9.2, when I click on another reminder or "Done", the time/date goes away. I have tried hard resetting, turning on/off the cloud, etc, but no luck. Sometimes, it even loses the reminder itself, and copies the reminder above it, so it is listed twice. Very annoying, seems to have started when I updated to ios 7.1, but I'm not sure. I just wanted to confirm if we are having the same issue. When I set a reminder and then try to set a time/day for the alert to go off, and try to add a location (meaning, when I arrive or depart a set location the alert will go off) as soon as I set those things and go back to the main page to see if the reminder is set correctly, the bubble that u turn on or off to set a time turns off, so my alarm time and day are gone and the location setting is off as well. So the only thing I see is the reminder but it won't allow me to save the time and day or location I set to go off. So what's the point of having a reminder, it just becomes the same as the notes app.

Same videos upload over and over each time I plug in

I am using Vista. Each time I plug my phone in, I am prompted to upload new pictures/videos. ANY videos (new or old) that are on the phone are uploaded to the PC again. I don't know how to stop it other than remove it from my phone, which I'd rather not do.
Any suggestions?

That's the only way to stop that prompt unless you stop the auto notification in Vista(which I don't recommend). The iPhone camera roll is designed for temporary storage only. Import this stuff to your computer, then sync it back to your phone if you want this stuff on your phone.

You might want to consider using a simpler home page, ideally one that is on your local drive, so you know Firefox is working even if you don't have a connection.
But your choice is much better than choosing a home page that just interfaces with a search site, when there is a builtin toolbar that can bring up any search that you care to add an engine for.
