FF 15 not recognizing installed security certificate

When I try to login to this site using FF, I get a "Revocation information invalid for this security certificate.". The same site and security certificate works fine in IE 8.

How do your settings compare with this screen shot:

  • DVD drive not recognized after Security update

    Hello -
    Well, for whatever reason I decided to apply some Apple software updates today. I repaired permissions, did a back up to an external Firewire drive with SuperDuper and downloaded several packages - iDVD 6.0.2, iMovie 6.0.2, Quicktime 7.1, iPhoto 6.0.3, iWeb 1.1, and Security Update 2006-003. I installed the Security Update and rebooted. I had read about an issue with DVDs, so promptly inserted a DVD-R disc of mine with a movie on it (not a commercial DVD, footage I had shot on my own). It was not recognized. I restarted with the mouse button held, no luck. I repaired permissions, no change.
    I restarted from the backup on the external drive and cloned the backup over to my Powerbook. The problem did not go away, there the DVD sits, unrecognized. Tried to see if DVD player would see the DVD, got a message "There was an initialization error. A valid DVD drive could not be found [-70012]" disc burning in System profiler says no burning device was found. Tried to re-install DVD player via 4.6.1 update, got a message "Compatible DVD hardware was not detected, installation will not proceed".
    Where to next? I haven't booted into open firmware to try to eject the disk that way, but one post on the discussions here somewhere had no luck. I'd really rather not erase and re-install and migrate from my back-up, but if that is all that's left, ok. Thanks for your help.
    BTW, 10.4.6 ona 1.5 GHz Al PowerBook with 2GB RAM, not original RAM but Samsung from OWC. Thanks again.

    Well, one thing I had not tried was to reset PRAM//NVRAM. I combined that step with shutting down, unplugging the power cord and letting it sit for 15 minutes. Reconnected power, restarted while holding cmd-option-P-R through the second start-up chime, and viola, my DVD appears on the desktop, the drive is listing in the system profiler, problem gone. Thanks all for the rapid responses.

  • 2nd cd/dvd drive not recognized after security update 2014-002

    I have a 3rd party CD/DVD drive as my 2nd drive in my Mac Pro and after installing security update 2014-002 it is not recognized by the computer.  It does not even show up under "About This Mac" or as a drive in disk utility.  Worked fine up until this update.  Any ideas?
    Thanks

    I think I have solved my own problem.  After 'restarting' the computer several times with no effect I turned the computer off and let it set for 15 minutes, not that I think the time period had anything to do with it, but upon turning the computer back on the 2nd CD worked fine.  I'm sure you folks who are wizards in this can explain why turning the computer off did what restarting did not.

  • Installing secure certificates (from I.E.) for Mai...

    I got a new N73 a week ago and have since then tried to install the secure certificate issued by my MS Outlook server (outlook web access) to access exchange so that I can work Nokia's Mail for Exchange.
    Now - this certificate is valid since on my previous phone (not symbian based - it installed and worked fine.)
    I have followed several resources online and none work. I have exported .cer files and .der files.
    To get the certificate files to the phone is not the issue. It's once they reach the phone that the problem starts. Only base-64 encoded x509.cer files show as "readable" files on the handset. Problem though that these files only open with a notepad reader. I want to install the certificate, not read the thing.
    Am I just being stupid here or what but I have called several of the Nokia support centers (South Africa and United Kingdom) and they don't know how to install such on an N73 either... ???
    Is there any hope out there ?

    The icon should show up as a light blue background (round circle) with a questionmark.
    ==DONE
    As if it's something wrong with the file.
    == Phone says "unable to open file"
    You should export the DER encoded binary file.
    == Done
    What your doing wrong is that you first have to click on the certification path and then chose the next certificate on the tree (in my case starfield secure certification authority), not the root, then press view certificate then go to details and export.
    == File Exported - from PC onto PC desktop.
    You cannot immediatlely go to details after you've opened up the certificate window and press copy to file.
    == It is here where I get stuck...
    I can export the file but HOW do I get it to INSTALL on the phone. I copied the file (all steps above) to the phone (from PC), once I try to open it, it says - "Unable to open file"...
    If I use the phone's browser to go to the web page where the certificate lies, the phone asks me if I want to continue since the certificate is invalid, I can view the details but can not save it here...
    Please help
    Regards

  • SSL Error 61: chosen not to trust security certificate; How to bypass?

    I am trying to utilize Citrix XenApp to remotely access my work userid and applications from home. I can login and see my virtual desktop/applications, but when I try to run an application I get SSL Error 61: you have chosen not to trust "Equifax Secure Global eBusiness CA-1" the issuer of the server's security certificate. I have tried to update the certificate (FFx says its valid), add an exception (cannot because certif is valid), uninstall/reinstall application (no good), but still no luck. Have contacted my company's IT and they are baffled as well. Any ideas to bypass or redo a setting that says I do trust this certificate would be welcome.

    Pardon my ignorance, but can you please explain further. I've read over the info from the link provided but it is beyond my technical comprehension. Is the Citrix database on my end, on my company server's end?

  • Installing Secure Certificates for Acessing WLAN

    We have a secure WiFi access network at our office.It uses a .der certificate for root and a .p12 certificate for individual users. I have a Nokia E51. Can you assist me as to how I can install these certificates and access the secure WiFi Lan in my workplace.

    Hi,
    first you would need to install the required certificates to the phone by using pc suite or memory card. Then at the office scan for the wifi networks and creat access point for your company's wifi. After access point is created, go to it's security settings and configure needed EAP settings for it. How to configure EAP depends on what EAP type your company's wifi is using.

  • Installing Secure Certificates in SOAP Scenarios using Business Service

    Hi All,
    We are working on SOAP synchronous scenarios and we are creating Business service for the same. IF We need to communicate through HTTPs protocol then will it be possible to install the SSL certificates as we are using Business Service ?
    It was said intalling certificates will only be possible when we use Business System but not Business Service.

    The technical connection does not care about business system or business component. This limitation does not exist.

  • Photoshop CC not recognizing installed camera raw 8.3 plug-in

    I have just installed DNG/Camera Raw 8.3 on my computer, and it is running in LR, but when I try to edit a LR photo in PS CC, it says I need Camera Raw 8.3. PS CC is only running Camera Raw 8.2.  How do I get PS CC to see the 8.3 version? Better question might be does the DNG 8.3 download include CR8.3, and if not, how do I get CR8.3?

    No, the DNG and ACR updates are separate.  You should be able to invoke the ACR update from the Help menu in Photoshop.

  • Illustrator CS6 not recognizing installed fonts

    Hi,
    I have a problem with Illustrator CS6 on Win7 x86 on one of our users' machines. The font Arial Narrow is installed, MS Word / Framemaker pick it up and you can use it, but Illustrator and InDesign won't see the font. So my user can't use Arial Narrow as the family so can't select the font for bold/italics/underline. He can only choose narrow as a sub style of the Arial family, but Arial Narrow has been installed seperately.
    The font has also been placed in the Common subfolder for adobe softwares, but after that it still won't be found.
    What has been tried:
    Uninstall and Reinstall the font
    Add font to font folders for adobe products (both common and product specific)
    Clearing Windows and Adobe font caches
    All these steps have not solved our problem. Can the community please be of assistance?
    Regards,
    Ben

    Thanks for your answer. I see Arial as a font and Narrow as a style for that font. This limits my user because he can't choose Arial Narrow-Itatlics-Bold for example. The Arial Narrow font family (Named ArialN, ArialNB, ArialNBI, ArialNI) has been installed, they are TTF files. These files have been placed in the adobe common folder as well.
    I have used control panel fonts and dubbelclicked yes. I have also tried installing the fonts as shortcuts. I have removed, reinstalled, the works.
    Also the fonts are the latest from MS yes.

  • WebStart not recognizing installed jre

    I have problem with WebStart - I'm not able to run ANYTHING with my installed jres.
    I have two JREs installed. One is 1.4.0rc, second 1.4.1beta1. Yes, I know that both of them are not final releases, but there should be a way to run webstart app even with them, doesn't it ?
    I'm using
    <j2se version="1.4*"/>
    No luck. I have also tried 1.4+, 1.4.0-rc, 1.4.1-beta - every time it dumps out.
    Web start is taken from 1.4.1beta1 (which means it is 1.2beta).
    javaws.cfg follows
    javaws.cfg.jre.0.platform=1.4
    javaws.cfg.jre.0.location=http\://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se
    javaws.cfg.jre.0.product=1.4.0-rc
    javaws.cfg.jre.2.path=c\:\\java\\jre1.4.1b1\\bin\\javaw.exe
    javaws.cfg.jre.2.platform=1.4
    javaws.cfg.jre.2.location=http\://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se
    javaws.cfg.jre.0.path=C\:\\Program Files\\Java\\j2re1.4.0-rc\\bin\\javaw.exe
    javaws.cfg.jre.2.product=1.4.1-beta
    Table in WebStart preferences:
    1.4     1.4.0-rc     http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se     C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.0-rc\bin\javaw.exe     true
    1.4     1.4.1-beta     http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se     c:\java\jre1.4.1b1\bin\javaw.exe     true
    Has anybody any idea what is happening ?

    The easiest thing to do is to run the application amanger, go to preferences/java and edit the lines that say
    1.4.0-rc and 1.4.1-beta. You can change them directly in the table to say 1.4.0 and 1.4.1 and then javaws will think they are fcs versions.

  • Creative cloud app is not recognizing installed applications

    Creative cloud app first lost Lightroom and has not Lost Photoshop from the installed apps list.
    I have taken the steps of logging out of CC then quitting the app and renaming opm.db to old.
    New file was created, logged in, but the same problem persists

    Hi Anthony,
    Since removing the opm.db file and signing out/ in did not work. I would suggest that you use the Adobe Clean tool to remove the software and reinstall.
    Make sure your computer can still access the adobe servers. Check the hosts file.

  • Application not recognizing installed Flash

    Hi,
    I had a Flash problem so I did a complete cleaning as per instructions. (Everything flash and Macromedia stuff)
    Then I installed Adobe Flash Player. (It plays Youtube alright where I gad the problem before.) However when I want to start Incredimail this is what happens:
    I start IM. Window asks for permission for Adobe to change computer whatever. (Setting is set not to ask by the way.) I allow. It then wants to install Adobe Flash. That aborts and an error window comes up, saying that Windows Explorer already has the latest Flash built in. I OK. Then a last window comes up telling that IM will not run until I install Flash. Which then I cannoy install because it says its built in. ??? So that is a total impossible loop.
    I tried to add permissions to Shockwave that did not help. Easter is coming up and I can't send eggs!!!!!!
    All help appreciated,

    Glad you got it sorted out.  We're really not involved in the distribution process at this point.  Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest Windows Update for IE seems to be a pretty good method for dealing with mysterious Flash/IE problems, or self-inflicted issues where folks manually delete critical files (typically by following the "nuclear option" troubleshooting guides for older operating systems).
    Synergistic screw-up potential is my new favorite phrase, though.
