FF 16.0.2 loads on all my macs at home with messed up screens all of a sudden

I get GUI looking pretty messed up....all websites not loading correctly...hotmail for instance loads with funny fonts, overlapping fonts, and it does it on all my macs at home as of this morning....any clues??

You can do a check for corrupted and duplicate fonts and other font issues:

My MacBook was working completely fine , I've had no troubles with it. I was waitin for something to load and all of the sudden the screen just went black . I've restarted it several times and the screen has just stopped working .

My MacBook pro has been working fine but all of the sudden the screen went Fluro green. I restarted the computer by holding the start button down and evert since , every time I turn it on the screen is black . I've restarted it several times and the screen doesn't change.

Quicktime takes a LONG time to load Videos (all of a sudden)

Since a few weeks it takes Quicktime FOREVER to open a Video file. Depending on its size, it takes longer. It takes almost 1:30 for a 700MB Video file, for instance.
I dont know why this is, and I havnt really changed anything, besides the Apple Updates. It doesnt matter if the files are DivX/XviD or WMV.
Is there any Config file I can reset? What could cause a problem like this?
This is really ******* me off, because it pretty much makes Quicktime (for which I paid a lot of money) useless.

I had the exact same issue. Perian was installed long time ago (back when it wasn't a prefpane, merely a .component that went into the Quicktime folder in /library). Recently, a software update caused most .avi files to take forever to load in Quicktime, but re-installing Perian (now a prefpane?why?) has probabbly reinstalled the component......Quicktime is back to running superfast

FYI... you need to hold down the C key when booting from the install disc until you see the Apple logo.

Doesn't load a certain website I have. My site loads on all other computers, and in different browsers on my Mac???

I'm building a store and for some reason FireFox for Mac seems to not want to load it all the time. Sometimes it just stops loading the site even though the server is up and it loads in all other browsers. It only happens on my computer and it's really frikken annoying. It's coming to the point where I will have to switch browsers if I cannot find a fix. It's impossible to work on a site when FireFox refuses to load it at times, but I have NO idea why!!
Chrome for Mac loads the site INSTANTLY, but I like to use FireFox because of the helpful add-ons it has.
I'm not posting the URL here because it is an adult store and I'm not sure if that is allowed.
I just think it's weird that FireFox ONLY does it on this site, and ONLY does it on my computer. It's been doing it for weeks now, since I started the site. The other weird thing is that when I Quit FF completely and restart it, my site loads fine. I can be working on it for hours and then BOOM, FF decides to be a royal P.I.T.A.
Is there any way to troubleshoot this issue?

On your Mac, make sure Automatic Downloads is selected in iTunes / Preferences - Store.

Edge Animate .oam files taking a long time to load or not loading at all?

Is there a way to correct this? I have exported this Muse Site and uploaded into my server and the same thing is happening: http://pierosalardi.com/animate/ Its taking to much time to load the .oam files and sometimes they do not load at all.
This is a screen shot after reseting Safari and going to the site. If you see, there is no logo on the up right hand corner, or the icons at the bottom of the page

Is there a way to correct this? I saw in another post that needed to replace the iFrame on the Muse html file and replace it with the html code generated by Edge.

Love your site! I'm not seeing the loading issue, but I'm also on a fast connection so that might be it.
Took a look at the source - it looks like each button is it's own individual OAM file, which increases your load time due to the extra requests the browser has to make to load everything. Have you tried consolidating the left and right button groups into two Animate projects instead of having a seperate one for each button? This may solve your loading problems.
You can copy and paste between projects inside of Animate so aggregating the buttons into one file should be pretty snappy.

2nd, you already mentioned Virtual XP, so if a direct install doesn't work, that would be the way to go... or, to just do what SHOULD work from the start, just do Virtual XP

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I have had this touch for almost a year. It suddenly starts going to home screen in middle of app, or when loading the app. Contract Killers has worked fine since I dowloaded it, but is not loading at all now. If I restore, will I be able to get my progress back from the backup?

Reset did not work. Just completed the restore, seems to have fixed the other apps from going back to the home page, but not Contract Killer.. I assume it is now a error on Glu's part. Hopefully they will resolve the issue. Thank you so much for your response.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you use the Apple TV for something else or turn it off it will erase whatever is on it's drive. If you are going to download content for later viewing you might consider doing it on the computer, downloads don't disappear until they expire and you can watch them as many times as you want.

I've tried safari, chrome, firefox...I've cleared the cache as well. This has been going on for several months and used to be tolerable as it was not every website. Now it has become every website and is impossible to deal with. My roommates computer and my cell phone connect fine. I'm fully connected to the router yet websites don't load. I'm using 10.7.5. Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
