FF 20 installed on Solaris 10 SPARC, will not run, crashed on start-up.

Building new non-global zone w/Solaris 10 - Solaris 10 5/08 s10s_u5wos_10 SPARC.
Installed fresh download of V20 - firefox-20.0.en-US.solaris-10-fcs-sparc.tar.gz. Installed with no issues.
FF crashing immediately upon start up. I get the FF window, paints a box in the middle. Shows transfering data from either mozilla.org or mozilla.analytics.org. Crashed with core dump before any actual download is seen.
I installed V 18.0.1 and am seeing almost the same results. FF comes up but then crashes as sson as you try and do anything.
I have several core dumps available if anyone can read them..

There were no specific error messages. The launch attempted as described above. The browser would then just go away and then I get -
[1] Segmentation Fault ./firefox (core dumped).
I generated several core dumps. They are attached below. The file is a tarball of a few gzipped cores.
I have tried twice to 'upload' the files. The first was 5 cores 440 MBs. I then tried just a single core, around 90 MBs, compressed. Both failed. Is there a better way to directly upload files of this size for your review?

After installing new RAM module macbook will not wake without re-start

Im having a little problem with my macbook. It operates normally and the new RAM appears to function as normal except when the computer is in sleep mode, it appears to sleep as normal but when the lid is raised or the power button depressed to wake the system up it will not do so without a full re-start. Any help is much appreciated. I have tried re-setting the PRAM and performing the usual maintenance functions from OnyX.

Did replacing the RAM fix the problem? I am also experiencing the same issue. The RAM works great when the computer is running but occasionally I cannot get the computer out of sleep mode and must reset the entire machine. Is the only cause of this a bad stick of RAM?

Windows 7, 64 bit, dowloaded the itunes 10 upgrade. Everything looked fine, seemed to install perfectly. But it will not run. The program opens, and within 2-3 seconds an error message pops up, "iTunes has stopped working." tried reinstall. No luck.

Read other posts and answers about codecs. But When I followed the Apple Support procedures for reinstall I first uninstalled all Apple software from the PC including QuickTime, and have not reinstalled QuickTime.
Any help will be much appreciated!

The issue eventually resolved itself, I still don't really know why. I kept up with Windows update, and attempted downloading iTunes again from the Apple website, and it just... worked. It now works fine. I don't know why it took approximately 4 months to work, though.
I'm sorry I don't have any more helpful information. Posting here was my last resort, and clearly Apple never bothered to reply.

I love firefox 3.08 but when I install any improved versions they will not run on my desktop even when I have disabled all add ons and the firewall, can you help?

I use Avast anti virus but have disabled it when loading firefox
I removed the Mcfee firewall which I thought might have stopped it running

Ok sorry I Was installing updates thought it was a new iTunes it took a very long time so I thought it froze up then I pushed the power botton and it went to the apple screen and I thought it was still working left it over night and when I got back to it. It was on the same screen (apple with the circle moving ). Tried to restart again and same thing. Does that help?

I have windows (crap) seven and internet explorer. When I try to access movies or tv shows, I'm always asked to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. When I check the programs list, it indicates that Adobe Flash Player Active X is installed. I have uninstalled adobe and reinstalled it several times. Do you suppose this is a virus, and I need to redo the hard drive completely?

12-month old iMac running Mavericks will not run Yosemite

I have an iMac 21.5", bought new in September 2013 and currently running Mavericks with no problem. The OS is on the internal Mac HDD while Time Machine is on an external HDD. Previous OS updates have installed OK.
Yosemite however will not run. After installation I can log in with no problem and all seems well -- the first time. All attempts to log in after the first produce the Apple logo and progress bar, but the bar advances only about one third of the way and hangs up, even when left for an hour or more. Nothing at all can move it -- all I can do is reboot by powering off/on. No login appears, just -- the logo and progress bar, which starts to run then stops as before.
If I reinstall Yosemite then I get one login as before, followed by the same failure -- I have now re-installed three times.
I have tried rolling back to earlier (pre-Mavericks) OS versions on Time Machine before installing Yosemite -- same result.
Right now I am back on the previous Mavericks. All is OK and I can live without Yosemite, but I am becoming concerned for future-proofing my apps. Newer versions, for Yosemite, are not going to run.
Any help would be appreciated please.

Sadly it did not last. Yesterday it again froze on login and this time Safe Boot got me nowhere.
No doubt if I carry on experimenting I can sort it out, but I can longer justify the long breaks from my work. I have rolled back via Time Machine to my last Mavericks-based save, and there it stays until someone at Apple gets to grips with Yosemite. Or replaces it, which I expect won't be long . . .
It just is not good enough to tell the consumer that they must accept bugs with a new release, or that it's all their own, or their system's fault or that they should get help from a support forum -- any clerk should be able to sit down and just use it. If a machine was running OK with an existing OS, then it should seamlessly switch to the new without calling for a Masters in IT to figure it out. No ifs or buts. We pay a premium price for a Mac and deserve better than this from Apple.
From my standpoint, Yosemite is without doubt the worst beast of an OS -- from any source -- that it has ever been my misfortune to encounter. This is my third Mac over the years, and at this rate it's my last -- for all Microsoft's failings, I have never encountered anything like this with Windows.

IPhoto '08 will not run

I've thrown away all the required files (reciepts and preferences) via AppDelete program. Then, re-installed and iPhoto but it will not run. When I log-in as a different user, iPhoto runs. But when operating as the Administrator, no go. Here's what the crash log said....

It may be another preference file other than iPhoto's that conflicting with iPhoto. Try the following:
Trouble Shooting Preferences in Leopard
1 - Create a folder titled "Preferences A" on the Desktop.
2 - Open the working Preferences folder, HD/Users/your_name/Library/Preferences, and move the contents to the Preferences A folder on the Desktop.
3 - Make a duplicate copy of the Preferences A folder on the Desktop as a precautionary backup.
4 - With the working Preferences folder empty run the application again and determine if the problems is fixed.
NOTE: you may have to drag the contents of the working folder to the trash and empty if moving the contents to the A folder only copies them instead of moving.
5 - If the problem is fixed:
A - open the working Preferences folder (HD/Users/your_name/Library/Preferences).
B - Open the Preferences A folder on the Desktop, select all of the contents and drag them into the working Preferences folder.
C - When the Copy window pops up check the "Apply to All" check box and then click on the Don't Replace button as seen here.
6 - If the problem is NOT fixed, empty the working Preferencess folder and move the contents of the Preferences folder on the desktop back into it.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. You should not have to uninstall Premiere Elements 12/12.1 in order to install and run Premiere Elements 13 on the same computer unless your computer is overloaded and the computer resources are compromised. Just use one program at a time.
Can you still use 12/12.1 on this same computer that will not let you use 13?
What specific Window operating system are you using?
Let us go through the usual drill...
1. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
2. Are you using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse?
3. Did you install the program with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
4. Disable the SLCache Folder found in Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit

Adobe
and in the Adobe Folder should be the SL Cache Folder that you delete or disable by renaming the Folder
from SLCache to SLCacheOLD.
5. Are you running the program as Administrator and is the latest version of QuickTime installed on the same
computer as Premiere Elements 13?

A few suggestions for you:
Try:
uninstall all HP utilities or other HP apps on your Mac
see if there is updated software on the HP website
go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Print
control-click on your printer in the column on the left
select "Reset Printing System..." and "reset" in the dialog that follows
Do a factory reset on your printer
go back to printers & scanners and it should see your printer and download a driver for it from Apple
