FF 3.6.10 can't find Bookmarks / DOM question

Seems like a lot of questions about Bookmarks and FF. I've got a page generated by a server script, in which <a name="xx"/> tags are scattered throughout the HTML. They are inside a <table>, inside a <tr> tag, but outside the <td>'s for that row.
Are there any limitations on where an <a> tag can sit within HTML, to be properly interpreted by FF?
When I look at DOM Inspector, the A tags look like they've been relocated outside the <table> which seems awful odd. In any case, the A's don't work in Firefox, but they do work in my IE6.

There are several video download applications that work on Firefox 4, for example:
* Video DownloadHelper - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper
* Easy YouTube Video Downloader - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/easy-youtube-video-downl-10137
* Flash Video Downloader (Youtube Downloader) - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/flash-video-downloader-youtube
Are there any other add-ons that you particularly want in Firefox 4? There may be updates to them or alternatives.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6.* you can uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install Firefox 3.6.* available from http://www.mozilla.com - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

  • Where can i find bookmarks.html file in firefox 10

where can i find bookmarks.html file in firefox 10, so that i can customize a new firefox setup.

cor-el, i tried this...it is working but it is add the new bookmarks to the default one (i want to override the bookmarks not to add them to the default).
And finally i solved the problem as the following:
    1- install the firefox.
2- change the bookmarks manually (delete the old one and add the links you want).
3- package your work into dmg file.
Yes as simple as that :D
Thank you all for your help.

  • Where can I find bookmarks after backing up computer files for a system restore?

My computer crashed but I was able to run a backup of my computer files to an external hard drive. Then I restored my computer to it's factory settings and had to reinstall Firefox. Now I'm going through my backup on the external hard drive and have found my pictures, internet explorer bookmarks, etc. but can't find my Firefox bookmarks. Where would they be located/what could I search for to find them?
    I'm using Windows 7.

  • Can't find bookmarks

I have used several file apps and can't find my bookmarks.  With Chrome I can find a few, but not nearly all the bookmarks.

    Thanks for the information, jrh0828!
I checked my references on how you are able to view all of your bookmarks without creating a new one. Please try these steps:
•From the Home webpage, tap Bookmarks icon. The Bookmarks page is displayed.
Press Menu key to display the following options:
•List/Thumbnail view: Select Thumbnail view (default) to view a thumbnail of the webpage with the name listed, or select List view to view a list of the bookmarks with Name and URL listed.
•Create folder: Creates a new folder in which to store new bookmarks.
    •Delete: Erases selected bookmarks.
•Change order: Rearranges the current bookmarks.
•Move to folder: Selected bookmarks are moved to a selected folder.
I hope you find this information helpful.

  • I apologize if this is a repeat -- I can't find if my question has been posted, but all traffic received through SAFARI (but not FIREFOX) quoting prices has the latter in EUROS, not US Dollars. Figures in my outgoing Email appear to the recepient in Dolla

I apologize if this is a repeat, but I can't tell if my question has been posted.
For the past several weeks, all incoming traffic via Safari 5.0.5, but not Firefox, containing cost/price figures appear in Euros, not US Dollars. My responses, however, are received correctly in US Dollars. Wierd, and irritating.  Any ideas?

To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step.

  • Blimey, it's all changed - where can I find my previous questions?

It hasn't been that long since I was last in this zone, and now I hardly recognise it!
I used to quite like being able to go back to questions I had asked (as they covered topics I trip over frequently) and remind myself of previously given wisdom.  Where can I find them now?

Just click on your avatar or user name.  It will take you to your profile page.  Then click on the tab for your stuff.

  • Upgraded to v.4, can't find "bookmark all tabs". Where is?

Where in this new interface is "bookmark all tabs"?
    Tab groups are not it.

Some menu entries are hidden by default and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu.
    * [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=626825 Bug 626825] - Hide redundant menu commands unless the user invokes the menu using the keyboard (make use of the openedWithKey attribute)
"Bookmark All Tabs" and "Bookmark All Tabs" in the Bookmarks menu are among them.<br />
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F or Alt+B to the File and Bookmarks menu and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by pressing Alt or by pressing F10.
    * "Bookmark This Page" and "Bookmark All Tabs" no longer show in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
    * "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of that browser page.
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.

  • "how can I find bookmarks?"

"There is no window available to open my bookmarks."

<u>'''Can't see the Menu Bar'''</u> (File, Edit, View, History...Help)? Hold down the key ( key in OSX) and press the following letters in this exact order: V T M
The Menu Bar should now be displayed permanently, unless you turn it off again (View > Toolbars). Turning the Menu Bar on and off is a new feature in version 3.6.
<u>'''See other bars'''</u> under View > Toolbars. Clicking on one of them will place a check mark (display) or remove the check mark (not displayed).

  • Had recent repair, firefox was uninstalled, can't find bookmarks on re-installed firefox.

I had my computer repaired done last month. CPU and mother board were replaced. I think most programs were uninstalled then reinstalled, except Firefox. The repair company said the bookmarks are probably saved, in the computer somewhere - just need to figure out where. I installed Firefox 26 after the repair. Don't know what version I was on before repair, but I had recently updated. The only things currently listed in my bookmarks (on tool bar) are the ones I've added since the repair. How do I find the old bookmarks and add them back to the current list??

Did they install a new hard drive or reinstall Windows?
    Did they make a backup?
The Firefox profile folder is in a hidden location

  • Automatic answer didn't help, still can't find bookmarks. KC

The automatic answer says to click on the Firefox button. There is no button. Possibly because the bar comes up 'Google' (our default browser?). On previous Firefox 93?) we had a toolbar in our e-mail window where we could revert to Google or bookmarks.

hello, did you install windows 8 on top of another operating system on a single machine and do you have any form of prior backup available?
one thing you could try is to search the whole filesystem (make sure you include all locations, also hidden ones) for the term ''bookmarks*.json'' - if any results show up with a date in their filename that lies before the windows install, you can then likely import them into your current firefox profile.

  • When I go to full view I can not find bookmarks

Type '''about:preferences#advanced'''<Enter> in the address bar.

    Check the settings.
Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set
to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your
updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow
    Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
    * Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
    * Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

  • Can't find myself and questions I have submitted

difficult to use Communities although I would like to.  Can't fine my account or question I have posted let alone answers.  Below is my latest.
"IPhone problems. Opening the e-mail attachments.
On the iPhone 4S I could not open attachments to e-mail that had been sent from my computer to myself (or from my computer to others with a copy to myself. My Operating System Is Window 7 and Outlook 2007 (not Express) for e-mail.  The problem involved all suffix.
Regardless of what the attachment suffix was it showed up on my iphone as “winmail.dat (  kb)” and when I tried to open the attachment, I got the message “attachment cannot be opened”.
I put my question your “communities” and got a lot of comment “got the same problem.  If you find a solution let me know.”  but no answers that worked.  So I searched “communities for days and finally got the answer.
As a last resort I used Google over and over and tucked in a corner was “Winmail.dat attachments – MozillaZine Knowledge Base”.  The Bulletin said that the problem was Outlook which uses “TNEF” for attachments when others do not.  The fix was “Disabling TNEF in Outlook”. You do that by going in Outlook to “Tools” then to “Options” then to “mail format” then to “send in this message format”  then chose and click “plain text” then “ok”.  Other choice were “rich text” or “HTML”.  Mine was already set in “HTML”.  It worked. ButWHAT A JOB!  HOPE I HELP SOMEONE ELSE.
    Am I a semi-teckey yet?
