FF 3.6.15 works great, but FF 4.0 crashes/locks after hardware upgrade?

FF4 worked great on my old system (starting with b.11) but not on my new one. It fails in normal mode as well as safe mode, and on the rare occasion that it runs longer than a second, it locks up so that I have to use the task manager to close it. I have uninstalled/installed Adobe/Java/etc to no avail.
The info on [[http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox%20crashes%20when%20you%20open%20it|THIS]] page doesn't solve my problem, and when FF4 crashes, it doesn't even generate a crash report (just a 1kb file), so I can't pursue it that way. What gets me is that FF 3.6.15 works great...
This is a clean install of XP, on a clean hdd (reused existing hdd after wiping with DBaN), so I'm reasonably sure I have no viruses - but I scanned with multiple tools anyway, just to be safe, and all of my drivers are the latest versions. The only thing that seems to have changed is the hardware, which I've listed below.
Old system:
XP home sp3 - fully updated
P4 @3.0HT (socket 478)
Gigabyte GA8I848PG m/b
1.5 Gb RAM
GeForce 6200 vga
New system:
XP pro sp3 - fully updated
PhenomII x6 t1055
Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P m/b
4.0 Gb RAM (yes, I know it only sees 3Gb)
ATI HD5670 vga

The link you posted was truncated and I assume is to [[firefox crashes when you open it]].
I have no specific knowledge of this, but reading the linked article and your post, & then your crash signature I note that the module ''mozjs.dll'' has no version date suggesting possibly it is corrupt or malware infected.

That however may be a red-herring in that there is a known related bug filed about version numbers of that file (Bug 634282)
Should you reinstall again, it would be worth paying particular attention to that file.
Have you managed to get any further crash reports, or have you given up on Firefox 4 at present.
You could also try posting in the Mozilazine forums, as some of the posters there are likely to be interested in this sort of problem. You could even try filing a bug about the crash yourself. It is possible that the crash cause is at present under reported if it is causing crashes on startup however I do have firefox 4 running ok on a 32 bit XP. You must first of all confirm you have attempted to startup in [[safe mode]].
Note to start in safe mode if you have two or more versions on your computer you will need to add -safe-mode to the shortcut to the correct version, or type the full path into the run command. (enclose path in inverted commas, leave a space then -safe-mode)
I think you can select the icon and double click it whilst holding shift to start in safe mode also. (works with 3.6 in XP)

The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works. Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up. Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp. Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp. Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.

hello Danagriz, unfortunately the plugin check page lags behind. adobe has released a critical patch for a vulnerability in its flash plugin, which is reportedly already exploited in the wild. therefore firefox will block insecure versions from running by default on websites for your protection.

in order to update java, go to java.com (or if you don't need the plugin you can also uninstall it though the windows control panel)

A PPC G5 cannot run any version of OS X beyond Leopard 10.5.8.
You should be able to find a Leopard retail (black) install disk on eBay. A grey update disk is machine specific and won't work.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).          red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
          If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake
          and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake
          and Home buttons.
     3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device.
         The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device
         charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then
         start with step 2 again.
     4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
         When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
     5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:

If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.

Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.

In my itunes libraryI've got about 3000 songs, I only play 500 at a time. For my iphone I just Check the songs I want to sync, as well with Logitech SqueezBox.
Recently I've started using the iTunes Remote, that works great, but it shows all the songs. is there any way to fix that?
Any way to change the setting in which it will only show the Checked songs?
