  • Upgraded to firefox4, but it will not install the upgrade. Have restarted firefox many times.

when I open Firefox and it asks if i want it for my default and i say yes, it tells me I must restart to install previous upgrade. Have done this many times. I have also tried to uninstall Firefox and it won't let me.

You seem to be using the latest Firefox 4.0.1 version
    *Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1
Run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator).

Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.<br />
You may need to delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well if present.
    Vista:
    C:\Users\&lt;user&gt;\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
    (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox)

  • I updated my ipod touch 4th gen to IOS6 and now my music will not sync correctly. I have reset to factory settings twice, and the system works but my music will not sync

Like i said above, my music will no longer sync. I can open the ipod, get on safari and what not, but when i attempt to sync, it says it is complete after less than a minute, and the music is not on it. I tried the manual artist upload and it is still unsuccessful

    Yeah, my itunes hasnt changed.

  • I installed 4.0.1, and now it keeps asking me to reboot, and it hijacks all links and will not allow me to remove it, despite rebooting many times.. How can I remove Firefox?

What more can I say - Firefox 4.0.1 is preventing me from doing my work and preventing me from removing it via the Windows control panel.

    Do a clean (re-)install:
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Firefox 8 will not hold its proxy setting

I must reset the proxy everytime I launch Firefox 8 because I get the following message:
The proxy server is refusing connections
Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.
Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.
Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is
    working.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • My hpofficejet6500Aplus will not keep a wirless connection and halh of the time the computer cannot

I have a hpoffice6500Aplus710n Three in one.  Since I have had it Ive had printing problems with.  Half of the time the wireless network feature does not work.  Then I mtry to hook it up so that it can print using the Usb cable.  The computer more often then not is unable to communicate with the printer.  Every hp printer I have owned I have had trouble with in one way or another Now Im afraid I m going to scratch this hp printer.  If I do this will be the last Hp printer I will ever own.  My frustration with HP printers has come to this point I think I should return to kodak I have had almost zero problems with them.  So this is a last ditch effort to get some.  Every test everytninf on my computer tells me its working properly and that is not true as I can not get in toes.  So if I cannot get the wireless running and stay running Im scraping HP forever.   Roy A Ames

  • I have tried several times to install Firefox. It simply does not function. I have used it many times before Windows 7. Any suggestions?

I have tried many times to install Firefox. It installs but will not connect to the internet. I have I.E. Opera and Chrome in use so it's not my connection. I have used Firefox many times in the past, why is it not working currently. I have Windows 7 as an operating system and running Norton 360.

  • ITunes 11.2.2 for Windows x64 will not successfully install.  Removed prior iTunes, and still will not install. 10.7 installs just fine, but constantly asks to upgrade to 11.2.2.  Any Thoughts?

iTunes 11.2.2 for Windows x64 will not successfully install.  Removed prior iTunes, and still will not install. 10.7 installs just fine, but constantly asks to upgrade to 11.2.2.  Any Thoughts?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component won't install normally.
If needs be, the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility (MS Installer "Fixit") may be able to help force through the installation.

  • Often, Firefox app will close, but the underlying Windows process will not and cannot be stopped via Task Manager. When this happens, Firefox can no longer be used...the system must be rebooted.

    Hello,
Often, the Firefox app will close, but the underlying Windows process will not and cannot be stopped via Task Manager. When this happens, Firefox can no longer be used...the system must be rebooted. This happens especially when many apps are running but even though there are plenty of memory resources available.
I have tried to find if something is using Firefox in the background, but have no way to know what that would be.
Their are no apparent viruses detected.
Firefox is version v5.0 and occurred in earlier release.
    System is Windows 7 (64bit).

well, it's not the same hardware and it's a bit different.
I managed to pass that stage somehow but I still have a problem
I don't use the built-in creator tool that comes with Spyrus as it doesn't know how to append a pre-staged media that was created by SCCM that should apply the Windows file system to a second partition and the WinPE to the first partition.
I managed to do everything. my only problem is that the WTGCreator that comes with SCCM 2012 R2 creates the 350MB partition with FAT32 file system.
when I boot from the device I get the WinPE, I can choose a task sequence and then it fails when trying to apply the wim file. the error tells me that the 350MB partition is FAT32 which is not supported (even though it chooses the second partition, which
is all the rest of the disk space)
what I did was adding another task that converts the 32 Fat partition to an NTFS partition and then the process continues and finishes successfully! but that's a workaround.
I'm trying to make this process as smooth as possible without having additional steps

  • Windows 8 will not activate with new SSD (second) hard drive

I added a new SSD drive in the second hard drive bay. I used the HP restoration media to install Windows 8 on the new SSD drive. Windows 8 will not activate. After spending 90 minutes on the phone with HP support (and paying $150), they told me to contact Microsoft. After spending some time with Microsoft, they told me that the Windows product key is being locked by HP, and there is nothing they can do.

    Hi badgerbuzz,
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publically post ( serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

  • Windows 8 will not boot

Windows 8 will not boot, gives Bad_System_Config_Info error.
It will not boot from disk, let me refresh, or let me reset my windows system.
A couple of times i have gotten windows to boot from the disk and it asks if i want to instal windows 8 or there is a tab to repair my computer.
Should i just go ahead and click instal windows 8, and then backup that fresh instal with my backup drive?
Or will this complicate the problem?.........
I am running OS X 10.8.3  Macbook pro retina

Wow, how about you guys just answer the dude's question instead of posting useless garbage. thanks for wasting everyone's time.
The only way I know of fixing this right now is unfortunately by doing a clean install. Thats not to say however that you won't run into the same problem down the road. To be honest, even tho Templeton's answer was useless, he's right. Seven is currently way more stable.

  • Windows xp will not boot up after installation of desktop software 4.3.

windows xp will not boot up after installation of desktop software 4.3.  Where do I start to get my p.c. going again ???

I get the message that a recent hardware or software change might have caused this.
The computer does not boot up in safe mode or last known good configuration.
I'm glad you think the software has nothing to do with it, but perhaps you can also explain why this problem started as soon as I downloaded the desktop software and tried to restart the computer.
