FF does cannot load servers, IE does and I did all suggested to no avail

This morning Firefox stopped connecting to servers without any obvious reason or change, issuing the "Server not found". IE works fine.
I went through all the 'server not found" troubleshooting to no avail:
* no proxy
* DNS prefetching
* IPv6
* had 4 different scans for viruses/malware -- clean
I prefer not to have to reset FF in order not to lose the config settings.

I have just update my iphone 4 to iOS5 and it did all the usual restore stuff. The next time I connected to my Mac instead of syncing it started to restore again, any ideas?

This indicates corrupt files. A restore should resolve.
You might want to try a simple sync first

Cannot load Lightroom 2.0 and G-Tech drives

I just bought the new Mac-Air, really great! But I found a couple of interesting problems: I cannot load from a valid disk, Lightroom 2, the desktop will first show the disk as a drive, and as it loads, I get an error message. The other is: none of my G-Tech drives will load, they light up, but never appear on the desk top. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm afraid I don't have any real ideas.
If you look at About this Mac -> System Report ....Hardware - USB do you see anything about the drive??

Does the drive appear in Disk Utility??

Cannot load movie with subtitles and export in QuickTime 10 / Os X Lion

Since Os X Lion, when trying to load a movie (DivX) in QuickTime 10 at the same time that the related subtitles file (.srt) is in the same folder as the movie, QT 10 suggests to use QT 7. QT 10 cannot load the movie with subtitles (in Snow Leopard everything was OK). Q& 7 is useless too because it cannot export movies to another format.
Anybody has a solution for this? Thanks for your help!

I do this because Perian don't work with QT10 on Mac OS X Lion:
-Try to open .avi movie with QT 10;
-OS X ask you to open on QT 7;
-Donwload QT 7 and install it. It will be installed on "Utilities";
-Download Perian but don't install it;
-Mount Perian, and click "Show Package Contents"
-Go to "Contents"->"Resources"->"Components"->"CoreAudio" and copy to Desktop "A52Codec.zip" and unzip it;
-Go to"Contents"->"Resources"->"Components" and copy to Desktop "Perian.zip" and unzip it;
-Go to "Contents"->"Resources"->"Components"->"CoreAudio"->Quicktime" and copy to Desktop "AC3MovieImport.zip" and unzip it;
-Then copy all packages with ".component" extention to /Library/Quicktime/;
-Then you can run all movies on QT 7.

-Install MPlayerX;

I have a iPad and a iPod one (the ipad) I was preparing it for ios5 update then it gave me a error and crashed,did all apples bull nothing works now its barely staying charged with the iTunes logo on it not showing up at all on PC.

NOW THE iPod its a 2nd Gen. I love those because the glass (plastic) doesn't break like the new ones but anyway. I let it die out as I was moving and its been tucked away needing a charge. The browser is running in Win 7.0 64-bit; Norton Internet Suite 21 provides the security functions. There are certain "cloud" solutions also running such as Google Drive, Box, Skydrive and Cubby. The browser behaves similarly in all my machines (the setup and OS is similar to the one described above) and no amount of resetting of "Options" seems to affect it . Nor is it affected by the manner Firefox is closed. It is obviously a bug that needs to be fixed.

Cannot load Java plug-in and access R12 Oracle form from client

Hi, one of my user cannot open Oracle form when accessing R12 environment using IE6. After selecting responsibility and menu, it got stuck after 50% processing when trying to load Java applet. It never got completed even after waiting for 2-3 hours.
Is there any browser setting that needs to be modified? I checked popup blocker and activeX setting. All seem to be in order. Kindly assist. Thanks.

What is the difference between this client and other clients?
Delete the browser cache/history files and check then. If this does not help, enable trace for JRE (as per Note: 549423.1 - How to enable tracing and logging for Sun JRE (Native Plug-in)) and see if it shows any errors when you encounter this issue.

Cannot load ipod mini software and use i pod

HELP I have a sony vai0 older computer. I am giving it to my sister. It has a wireless card that uses the same port as the Hi speed 2.0 card. I do not have the original cd to load the ipod software. I have to take out the wireless card to use the 2.0 network card that is required for transfer. What am I to do. I cannot find the link to download the software necessary to load the Ipod. I have however loaded the latest version of I tunes

It's not the software... millions of users have installed the same software on their iPod mini before you.

you should try that first. If you get back to being stuck at the Apple logo...
One possibility is data corruption on the iPod's tiny hard drive. Everything was still working OK as long as the old iPod software files on the iPod's hard drive stayed "as is." When the update tried to replace the old iPod software files, the existing data corruption made it unsuccessful. Now, the iPod cannot run its software.
You should try a Restore on the iPod. This will erase the iPod, re-install the latest software, and set it to default settings. Erasing will remove any data corruption, if that is the cause of the problem.
Restore is done in iTunes from the iPod's Summary screen. If the current problem does not allow the iPod to appear in iTunes, put it into Disk Mode first

If it goes into Disk Mode, connect it the computer and run iTunes. Hopefully, iTunes will see it and allow you to try a Restore.

Cannot load Itunes or Quicktime and can't uninstall old version

I'm trying to load iTunes. The installation fails because, "The installation of QuickTime did not complete successfully. iTunes requires QuickTime."
Have tried unintallation the current version of QuickTime and installing the latest version of QuickTime 7. Nothing works.

Cannot load applet; coffee cup and exclamation point shown, or black box

I am having trouble loading several Java applets under Safari for Windows. These will load with a coffee cup image with an exclamation point over top, or sometimes will simply show a black retangle. How can I go about troubleshooting this? I see no Java Console anywhere in Safari and no other trace of what's going on. How can I debug this?

Are you using the webkit version of Safari? I think it has more diagnostic information than the public releases.

hello hdarwish, normally such connection issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.
