Ff will not save any login information re installed still not doing it

for the last 5 days ff has started logging me out of my sites (forums etc). Re-installed still doing the same, and i have noticed everytime i open up ff it searches for add ons it has never done this before.
I have it on my netbook and desktop, the laptop has exactly the same settings but they keep me logged in whereas the laptop wont.
I totally uninstalled every trace of ff from the laptop before re-installing from fresh, if i log into a site, close ff it has logged me out.
Up until a week ago it had no problem at all keeping me logged into any site.

* Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
* Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
* In [[Private Browsing]] mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
* Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and password exceptions.

  • Can't save remote login information

Until the last week, I had my remote login information saved
in site management for the ftp server of my website. Now, I enter
the information, use it to connect and work on my site. Then I
close DW. When I restart DW to work on the site again, the remote
login information is gone and I have to reenter it. I can work
until I close the program, then it disappears again.
    The save box is checked.
I recently installed Process Guard, but I haven't changed any
other security features recently other than updates to Zone Alarm
    Free and AVG Free.
It's not a fatal flaw, but it's VERY annoying.
    Any help is appreciated

  • How do you save account login information on Playbook browser favorites

Just got the new playbook. BlackBerry 16GB PlayBook 1716101
One thing I wanted to use it for was for a lot of banking sites and other sites which require an id and password. With my laptop I can seem to set my browser to save the cookies and when I go to the site all I need to do is remember my password. With the Playbook, I go to these sites,  put in the acct info and password...request browser to remember this id ( so I don't have to type in 16 character acct #'s every time). It asks me a skill testing question and you would think you are saved.
The next time I go in to these accounts....gone. It really takes the good out of the browsing experience if you have to make 25 -30 keystrokes to get to the site you want. This is true of banking accounts, and other sites which ask for an id and passowrd. It can not seem to ever remember me.
Thanks for any tips!   Is there some setting I am missing here in my setup or settings/

I thought I was doing something wrong until I decided to check the support forum.
Not saving name/password info is ridiculous! As others have mentioned, having to re-enter banking login info every time in a real pain.
I can see RIM not saving the info as a security precaution, but at least give us the choice.
RIM dev's... please fix this!!! (or at least make it an option, even if it's set to no by default).

  • Saving login information

I use a 4s with 6.0.1. There are various websites I need to use where login credentials are required. I can't seem to get the Safari browser to save my login information and its a pain to type 7 numbers of ID and 7 numbers of Password each time I go to one of those websites. My Macbook with 10.7.5 saves the info but the iPhone 4s will not. Can I make this work in iPhone 4s?

I am having the same problem with a new iPhone 5 iOS 6.0.1.  I have triued all sorts of comginations but none allow for saving passwords.  Autofill is on, I have cleared my hsitories and cookies and no luck

  • Where is Login information stored for Blackberry Browser?

I have accessed several sites on my Passport that require usernames/passwords.  Upon entry the Browser pops up a window and asks if I want to save the login information.
    1. Where is that information stored?
    2. Can that information be purged/wiped?
    3. Can that information be edited?
    Thanks.

    1. I don't know exactly. In some cases information is stored in a browser cookie. I suspect when you tell the device remember login information that may be stored in a different database, but I don't know.
    2. Browser > Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Cookies and Other Data.
    3. Not that I know. At least it isn't readily accessible to the user.

  • Login information

When the Login request come from the webserver to the login server, where it will check for the login information and where the successful login and the failed login information will be stored?
When someone accesses files for download via the Portal, what logs are used to store the successful and a failed attempt that shows the object names and who is requesting them?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
It seems that you have provided password as "oracle" for all default accounts i.e sys, system, dbsnmp, sysman.
    Try login as below
    Sqlplus sys/oracle as sysdba@<connection string>
    Sqlplus system/oracle @<connection string>

  • I can not save any information on Safari !!!!, i can not save any information on Safari !!!!

please anyone tell me what i have to do with this case, i can not save any information in safari no Bookmarks, no reading list...

Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not  going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

I am being asked to upgrade to iCloud Drive but indications are that I will not be able to access up to date details on any of my documents on my Mac without going into iCloud first.  Have I got this interpretation right or can I save changes to access the new versions on my iMac?

    That is Apple's statement:
Using iWork with iCloud Drive - Apple Support
    Options for iWork customers
You can upgrade to iCloud Drive today if you want to keep your documents up to date in iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, and you want to use the iWork web apps on iCloud.com and the Share via iCloud feature.
You can upgrade to iCloud Drive later if you want to keep your documents up to date with your apps on iOS 7 or earlier and OS X Mavericks or earlier.
    Upgrade to iCloud Drive today
To access the most recent versions of your documents from a Mac with OS X Mavericks or earlier, you’ll need to go to iCloud.com and access Pages, Numbers, and Keynote from there. On a PC, you can install iCloud for Windows and set up iCloud Drive.
If you upgrade to iCloud Drive now:
Your documents will keep up to date across devices with iOS 8, Macs with OS X Yosemite, PCs with iCloud for Windows, and iCloud.com.
Your documents will no longer keep up to date on devices with iOS 7 and Macs with OS X Mavericks or earlier.
You’ll be able to use the iWork web apps on iCloud.com.
You’ll be able to use the Share via iCloud feature with iOS 8, OS X Yosemite, and iCloud.com.
Documents you previously shared via iCloud will be accessible to collaborators.
    Upgrade to iCloud Drive later
Note that until you upgrade your iCloud account to iCloud Drive, you won’t be able to use the iWork web apps on iCloud.com or the Share via iCloud feature.     If you don’t upgrade to iCloud Drive at this time:
Your documents will keep up to date across devices with iOS 8 and across devices with iOS 7 and Macs with OS X Mavericks or earlier.
You won’t be able to use the iWork web apps on iCloud.com.
You won’t be able to use the Share via iCloud feature.
Documents you previously shared via iCloud won’t be accessible to collaborators until you upgrade to iCloud Drive.

  • OSX 10.7.4. will not save ANY of my preferences (system or application -- Safari, Office, etc.)

I am running System OSX 10.7.4 on three different MacBooks.  It will not save any of my preferences (system or application based), passwords, log-ins and keychain. Even Safari did not save imported bookmarks.  I am running Office For Mac 2011 (v 14.2.1) and Outlook will work for a day or two and then I get a rebuild database error message, losing everything.  Word, et all, will not save any preferences, not even recent files.
I did a full erase and clean system reinstall and a fresh install of Office. This problem occurs on all 3 of my MacBook, 2- MacBook Pro’s and a MacAir.  One of the MacBook Pro’s is BRAND NEW.
Any ideas, any fixes out there?

I have what seems to be a similar issue. Are you having other issues like mine?
    Macbook air      11-inch, Late 2010
                            4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    Software           Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)
I have updated the latest combi update from the apple site and still have the same issue.
No matter what I try every time I restart my Mac all my preferences and applications reset. (Also preferences don't save when exiting the preference folder)
For example when in >system preferences>general -untick the 'restore windows when quitting and re-open apps' I exit preferences and then go back in to check it has automatically reticked the box.
I have deleted 2 applications several times (including removing the icon from the dock) and each time after restarting it shows a question mark on the dock where I had deleted it from.
On restart I loose downloads and history in safai.
On restart it re opens documents and applications I have quite even after unticking the restore applications on restart box (the one that comes up when shutting down or restarting)
I have been trying to solve this for a month now and it really is frustrating the **** out of me.
    helpppp pleaseee...

To gdgmacguy your a f****** idiot for one I'm having the same problem as pennymar. And you tell me to quit whinning. You got more problems then the iOS 6 you did not answer my question nor the other 13 or whatever you replied to within a 30 min time frame. You must got nothing better to do then to harass people and to pretend you know something about apple products. Which you don't from what I've read the other advices you should have gave to other people. But you didn't you replied a question back to the people asking a question. So if your not gonna use these community forums the right way don't use them at all.

    Thank you

My Photos app works the same on iOS 5 as it did on iOS 4 i.e. I can have a different track for each album. When I select a track for a photo album I then start the slideshow so that it shows the first couple of photos with the track playing - I'm not sure it's necessary to start the slideshow but I always do and it remembers that track for that album.

Well, not sure if having the disk in a firewire case or over a network would have made a difference.
The solution of making a disk image as in article http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2664 was what worked for me.
After, mounting the disk image the Migration Assistant completed without errors. So far everything seems to be working like it did on 10.4.11.

By the way, I also updated my Macbook Pro 17" (mid-2009) and it seems to be running fine, though I haven't tried to restart it and log in. I'm afraid I won't be able to get this one to work either if I do.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
