FF15 is preventing pages in out of focus tabs from autorefreshing. All Javascript/Java and plugins are prevented from refreshing data when tab is not displayed

FF15 is preventing pages that contain auto refreshing html commands, Javascripts, Java applettes, and other plugins, from auto reloading or refreshing information on web pages, when the tabs than contain them go out-of-focus.
While tab has focus (page is fully displayed) all auto refreshing/reload embedded commands/programs work correctly.
I work with web sites, were information needs to be auto updated constantly, whether the tab is hidden or not, such as stock prices, web server monitoring, biding sites, customer support chat, etc.
This behavior can cause severe loads in web servers with web pages that contain many data items, when all server side programs that pertain to the data being displayed have to run from scratch at the same time, when the tab is brought back in focus, since the browser issues a full reload.
This behavior also interferes with "reloading" FireFox addons
One should be able to stop, and/or disable this behavior, and pretty sure this problem is affecting many users, and or web sites that rely on these commands to work according to html protocols.
Is not the function of a web browser to interfere in any way with html embedded commands or programs, by stoping functionality, or preventing connection to the internet

No need to remove Adblock Plus, disabling it should help you discover whether ABP is causing that problem or not.
I saw a mention of that problem at MozillaZine fora a few days ago, but don't recall the details. But IIRC it has to do with toggling a setting to off.
Adblock Plus has its own support forum.They should be able to help you get ABP adjusted to avoid that issue. <br />

The issue is related to firefox 3.5 but is also seen in firefox 3.6 the images rendered like a curtain effect if they are not preloaded and the page builds up in part rather than building all at once and showing

When we traverse from one page to the other and this is not different php pages, its the same html page only dom manipulation. to show different gui one after the other. Now on these screens there are some images that are preloaded like loaded upfront and some are pulled at run time when user visits that screen. All images that are pulled on run time show a curtain effect. This is problem number 1, we cannot preload these images since the systems are having only 250mb ram.
Now the other problem is that when the user goes from one screen to the other the entire screen builds up in one shot on ff 1.0.8 but on ff 3.5 or 3.6 it builds up in parts
Do we need to change some configuration in firefox so that the curtain effect is eliminated, Is there a setting in firefox 3.5 that can make the rendering more like ff 1.0.8 or ff 2.
Is there any different that you suggest we do our dom manipulations or some ways that we should not do if that is the cause of the issue. This is very urgent since we are loosing users due to performance problems

Everyone who logs into Facebook on my Firefox has this problem however if we use Internet Explorer - facebook looks normal.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.

Don't switch email providers. Switch to another email client on your Mac. It is not Yahoo. I have 3 Yahoo accounts and never have any problems getting or sending mail from/to those accounts. But I don't use the built in Mac Mail program. I use Thunderbird. I use thunderbird on both Mac OS X and Windows. Been using it for some time now with no problems getting my Yahoo mail, Google gmail mail or form my work email account.

I can't join mobile internet and am being told I am out of data when I'm not?

I was hoping someone could help me. About a week ago I stopped being able to use roaming internet, sometimes the pages attempt to load for a long time before telling me there are connection problems and other times I am told that I am out of data and need to top up. I don't get why it would be either of these things as I've used the internet before in those locations and a signal is being picked up, and I just brought a new packet three days ago with 2gb of data which I've not been able to use because I can't access mobile internet and haven't come close to using the 2gb of data in any previous months. Background Painting of "Out of focus" tabbed Panel (JTabbedPane) ?

I would like to add a on going Bar Graph to a JTabbedPane, this works fine if the specific Tab is in Focus, but when the tab is switched, Painting stops!
How can i ensure the painting continues in the background!

How can i ensure the painting continues in the background! Well, I don't think you force painting since Swing appears to be smart enough to not paint a component that isn't visible.
However, you should be able to do your painting on an offscreen image. So your offscreen image will be continually update. Then your paintComponent(...) method simply paints this offscreen image.

How do I make an embedded Javascript element(embedded MS Excel chart) automatically refresh so that viewers do not have to refresh the entire page to get updated information.

I am creating a web page that features an embedded chart made by MS Excel. I would like the chart to automatically update(refresh) to show viewers live information without having to refresh the entire page. I have found that there is a way to enable this through Excel but with my current subscription cannot access that feature. I am hoping that there is a way to achieve this using Adobe Muse CC. If it is not possible, I would like to know if there is a way to add a "refresh" button that refreshes only the embedded section(Excel Chart) of the page for viewers to use manually. Update! The embedded spreadsheet is actually embedded using HTML rather than javascript.

Opening new tab does not display my home page by default, what setting do I change to achieve this?

When selecting the open new tab option, in the past, the tab opened displaying my designated home page. It now opens displaying a YAHOO! search page. My home page settings have not changed and continue to display the correct address, selecting 'home' brings up the correct home page, at any time during browsing. Is there another location where this 'invalid' new tab address might be listed, and removed or reset ?

Mobile: Web Service data control doesn't refresh data when revisiting page

I have an ADF Mobile AMX page which shows data returned by a Web Service. The page is pretty simple and contains a listView which iteraters over my WS Data Control's binding, as well as some GUI components to make it possible to use amx:listView while still having a lot of data visible for each listview item.

</amx:view>The page is its own ADF Mobile feature, and it works fine. However, I want it to refresh the data from the WS each time I go to this feature, and that's not happening.
I've adapted the bindings in every way I could of, disabling caching and settings 'refresh' to 'always' wherever it's possible (i.e. on each of the executables, and on the top binding (which is the name of the WS operation I'm calling).
What am I doing wrong? I feel like I'm overlooking something simple here...

I've added an invokeAction executable called "refreshData" to my list of executables, and made sure it was binded to my WS operation. I moved it to the top of the list of executables, performed a 'clean all' and redeployed.
Unfortunately, it's still not refreshing. Will try to add a button and bind it to refreshData, see what that gives.

Why does the Firefox home page keep telling me I'm up to date when I'm not?

The Firefox home page, found at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/ or by redirection from www.mozilla.com or www.firefox.com, tells me my version of Firefox is up to date. It isn't.
I'm currently running 11.0 (and should have 12.0) but this has been happening for quite some time now; that page just seems to always say you're up to date, no matter what.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
