Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

In Firefox 4 and later [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode Safe mode] disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

I have done a load of tests and it does it every time
I imported a jpg image as my button. Converted it to a button by Interactive/convert button. Even before I setup all the options in the buttons panel it moves. So for instance I have the button in the bottom RHS in Indesign. Then make a interactive pdf and its in the centre of the page. I have even converted the image back to an object and it goes back to in proper position.
I have tried this in several documents, starting from scratch and using different images and also drawn a button. I have also used the buttons from the button library
In previous version of Indesign I have never uncounted this problem.

Can anyone help this has not be resolved and I have several annual reports to get out urgently. Its happening to all documents!

I have the same problem in Mavericks, but I'd say, more important, with QuickLook.
Indeed Quicklook can't read avi movies anymore. Actually it always been the case, but with Perian we were able to fix it. The problem is that Perian is no longer available for Mac OS 10.9....
I'd assume that our only hope is Apple themselves... It would be nice from Apple to creat an add-on for quicklook to be able to preview the avi movies.
In regards with quicktime, you can download QuickTime 7 here:

and ask all the .avi movies to be played by QuickTime 7 and not QuickTime X (included into Mac OS).

Why does the name change to my dad's name when I use his credit card for downloads?

I have an iPod touch. I have my own apple ID and icloud account. Why does the name change to my dad's name when I use his credit card for downloads? Is there a way I can have my own account and use my dad's card without having his name on my photostream and icloud?
I went on icloud.com and changed my name but it changes the credit card name to mine as well so I can't get apps unless its under his name, but it confuses everyone i share photo streams with, as there are two of my dads?
My aunt is having the same problem with her photostream, so I know its not only me.

I have this problem and it's annoying. Plenty of people in this world do not pay for their own stuff!. So i have 5 kids. All there accounts show as my name when people add them for Photo streams etc etc. This is ridiculous. Why not seperate billing address / credit card details to the name of the person on the account? Why do they have to be the same?

I'm not quite sure what you want - if you want an overview of all open windows, use the F key.. Otherwise please post back and be more specific.

Why does the move tool and the resize function freeze when I insert pictures to a layer?

This is very annoying. I was stupid enough to buy a one year subscription to Photoshop CC, only to find that it is ruining my happiness. I am trying to run it on a brand new Macbook Pro 15 retina i7 running Yosemite, and everything works fine, except for this one thing - when I drag a new photo into a layer, the resize function and the move tool stops working for a very long time. If I am patient enough, the functions will finally wake up. Is there a way to get around this problem? I have searched the forum without any luck, and I am just about to start jumping up and down, calling Adobe by names that will make my neighbors cover up their ears. $/!"%%#/&%"#W)!ÆY!!!

Right-mouse on the Synaptics toolbar icon to bring up Mouse Properties, select the Device Settings tab, press Settings to bring up Properties for Synatpics ClickPad, on the left open Pointing... Sensitivity... Palm Check. This is a feature to prevent accidental touchpad movement by your palm while you're typing. So it prevents use of the touch pad when keys are directly used.

Why am I directed to a MobileMe sign-in page when I try to publish iWeb

I can not publish a site because I get caught up in an endless loop asking me to sign-in. It gives me three options: Sign in; No thanks and Learn More. Jumping through all the hoops makes no difference, I still can not publish. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:
1 - go to the System/MobileMe preference pane and log out of your MMe account.
2 - log in with a bogus account name and password to clear the cache.
3 - log in with the correct account name and password.
4 - launch iWeb and try publishing again.

Why is there no option to go back multiple pages when browsing a website? it is annoying thet there is no option with the back/forward one page button.

When browsing a fashion or shopping website, you often look at an item, then browse the colour choices, you have to go back multiple pages, before you can look at the next item. Where has the back multiple pages arrow gone?

To go back (or forward) more than one page, click and hold the mouse button on the back (or forward) button for a few seconds and a list of recently visited sites will show. The down arrow that used to be next to the buttons to view the list was removed to add more space in the toolbar.

It must be in the Cache from Safari.
Open Safari browser and select from the menu bar in Safari "Empty Cache" than reload Safari.
When this is not working than "Reset Safari" be care full, don't reset the Cookies, this file contains the web log-ins that you saved.

Why is iPad so INCREDIBLY slow in loading web pages or e-mails? I have brand new iPad 2.

Just got a new iPad2 last week, installed OK, updated to iOS 5.0, able to access my home's wireless network. However, it is incredibly slow in loading web pages, so that most web sites time out before they will load, like http://finance/yahoo, which I have to use my desktop (Windows XP) or laptop (Windows 7) computers to access, since the iPad will time out almost every time before it can open the site. Same for most other sites, unless real simple like my own web site, which will open OK.
Apple tech support was no help at all. Any suggestions, other than buying a new router?

Have you tried (1) restarting your router, and (2) resetting the wifi on the iPad? To do #2, go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings.

Turns out to be an iPhone 4 problem. I went to a store and they replaced it. No problems now. My wife's iPhone 4 also had to be replaced which is disturbing. We had the original iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS without issue. This iPhone is not that good. It was emphasized to me the other day when I used a Razor in my house and found the voice quality infinitely superior and worked in places where my iPhone 4 failed completely (all on AT&T).
People on the other end of calls with the Razor commented that my voice sounded much better and asked what had I done (they were used to the calls made with the iPhone).
I am afraid I think that the iPhone 4 is not all it is cracked up to be. For phone use the Razor beats it hands down. Now, when it comes to email etc. the iPhone is infinitely superior but as a phone it is certainly not as good as it could be.
I am afraid that Apple may have lost the magic recipe and, if I had not gone past the return date, the iPhone 4 would be going back.
