FF4 wont move a tab to a new window. The new window opens fine but the existing tab stays on the current window. What's wrong?

I just upgraded to firefox 4. I'm using session manager extension.
I have multiple tabs open in my firefox window and I want to move some tabs to a new window. I followed the support guide which tells how to do this, however, when I drag the tab off the current window, the new window gets opened as it should, but the tab I was trying to move stays in the current window and does not get moved to the new one. Any ideas what the problem is?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

firefox initally opens fine right to my homepage. Then a few minutes later it starts hanging and I cannot scroll or do anything until it connects. Similarly when I try to open a new tab, the new tab either hangs forever, or I get an unresponsive script error message. Illustrator CS4 opens fine but cannot open any new or existing files

Hi guys,
I'm running Adobe Illustrator CS4 on my Mac Pro running OSX 10.7 Lion and for some reason I am no longer able to open any new or existing files. Illustrator boots up just fine but 'File>New' gives me nothing. 'File>Open' gives me my usual search box but once a file is selected, again, I get nothing. Dragging a file into Illustrator gives me this response',
before promptly quitting.
I have tried deleting all the files from my Illustrator Preferences folder but doesn't seemed to have helped.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot get a new tab to open in FF 18. It doesn't work whether I click on + or do Fil; New Tab. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

The new tab opens when I click a link in the existing window, but, not when I click the + or File; New Tab. It always worked in previous versions. I tried re-installing, but, that didn't fix it either.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.

To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

How to move my songs to iTunes and keep the current folder logic

When I'm trying to copy my mp3 library to iTunes (via "Automatically add to iTunes" folder) I'm loosing my folders as the player groups new songs in its own way. Since I organized my songs the way I want to listen them (one folder -> one playlist) I'm wondering if there's a way to copy them over to iTunes but keep my playlists unchanged?

You can stop iTunes reorganising your files:
Open the menu Edit > Preferences... select the Advanced tab.
Uncheck Keep iTunes Media folder organised and Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library.
Place the content you want to add within the relevant media content folder inside iTunes Media, e.g. Music inside the Music folder (recommended) or leave the content folder outside of the iTunes Media folder wherever it currently resided.
Use File > Add folder to library or just drag & drop.
However that won't stop iTunes organising your files into albums on the basis of their tags. If each folder represents a playlist then use File > New Playlist to create a new playlst, then drag & drop a folder onto it. All the tracks will be added to the library and the playlist.

My iphone4s keeps saying no service,i downloaded the new software 5.1 but it still doesnt get service!!!what the ****???my iphones only give me problems???help apple!!!

I have had an iphone2,iphone3gs and now i have the iphone 4s for about 8 weeks,first my battery got extremely hot and then i had to regularly reset the network settings to get a decent edge or 3G connection.
now since i have had the phone it has jumped between edge and 3G to the point of me wanting to throw it against a wall,but the last week i have had the phone jump between between no service and edge signal(mostly no service)so here is a list of everything i have done but its still not working:
1)reset network settings
2)reset entire phone from general settings
3)hard reset from pressing home and lock button simultaneously
4)loaded new ios5.1
5)fooled around with every possible setting putting it on and off checking for signal
6)and no,its not my sim,its a brand new microsim.
i got some signal this morning when i put the 3G off(because you can now do that with new ios5.1) long enough to download an app from the i store(i had to because when i tried to open up an app from my home screen it doesnt open,looks like its about to open then just closes itself immediately.
does anyone else have these problems,im frustrated with this,im a looooong time apple and mac user but im getting fedup right now,istores are also clueless...

some more info which would most likely help...
i am in south africa and currently on the mtn network,network is fine as no one else is experiencing internet problems.

Firefox wont update to v5 and the main site says i`m using v3 but my browser says in using v4...whats gone wrong?

I have version 4.0.1 ( Help -> About Firefox) and i keeps saying i need to install version 5. I get the download and it says its installing,but nothing happens. I then get a new window saying i need to install the update and when i click the Next button i get a "Conecting to server" message...which just sits there for doing nothing.
This is about the 8th time i downloaded and installed version 5 but to no avail. So i decided to check the Main sites FAQ. heres where things get intersting. According to the main site i`m running version 3.0.16(or something like that)

I have My.MSN for my home page and firefox will not load the information on movie theaters AND my stock pics. It used to work fine but after last update these features no longer work

When I load my home page, the items MOVIES THEATER and my STOCK QUOTES will not load. If I try to make ANY changes to my home page it changes from my.msn.com changes to my.msn.com/x and nothing will happen.
If I loan MSN and copy the address bar and paste it to the Firefox browser, it will load properly the first time BUT will not load properly again.

When I open a new Word Document, it minimizes it to the task bar at bottom and when I go to maximize , it disappears to the left of the screen. What is wrong?

I open a new Microsoft Word Document and it immediately minimizes to the task bar at the bottom of the screen. When I go to maximize the document, it "disappears" immediately to the left going off the screen.
I am having the same problems with emails when I try to forward or create new emails. They will not hold long enough for me to write on them - they disappear off the screen.

I thought my new MP was fine, but after 9 days... IT HAPPENED...

So I had been following the "reboot from sleep" issue closely as I've been planning on getting my new MP for awhile now..
I received my stock 8-core 2.8 last Wednesday and added 8gigs RAM from transintl and 2 500GB WD drives from OWC. I was knocking on wood and counting my blessings that after 5, 6, 7, and even 8 days my MacPro had never experienced the "Reboot" issue and I've had no graphics card issues..
I'd been posting in other threads that the problem may have been isolated to the initial production runs of the MP and that it seemed like it had been fixed with people receiving recent orders..
However, today (day 9,) it happened... I woke up this morning and went to wake up my machine and it did a restart...
BUMMER!
I guess no one is safe right now..

My MacPro was working fine for 3 days, no issues, no reboot from wake...then it happened to me. I hit the space bar..got the fans and chime - it rebooted!
I didn't freak. Also after reading all the issues, I decided to do two things:
• Reset the PRAM
• Reset the SMC
It's been working great ever since (past 2 days), and if it does it again, I'll reset the things again. No biggie. Apple will fix it. I don't think it's hardware. Probably drivers, and they'll resolve it. Even if they don't, this machine is so darn powerful that a little issue of reboot wouldn't taint my opinion of it. I would simply make the machine NOT go into sleep mode, but turn off the monitor and spin down the drives.

I bought new ink but my printer is blinking two ink icons. What is wrong.

I have unplugged the printer on both ends & plugged it back in. Restarted the computer. Troubleshooting on the printer. Turned the printer off and back on. Checked the paper. Took the ink out and put it back in. The clear tape is off both ink cartridges and both are in the right spot. What else can I do?

Only Adobe Customer Service can help with activation issues like this, so call or chat with them. As long as you bought things from Adobe, or an Adobe Authorized Reseller then your serial-number should be ok, unless, of course, you posted it somewhere.
