FF4b - AJAX features don't work on most sites

AJAX stuff doesn't seem to work on a lot of sites. For example I can't get users' video lists on YouTube, the site just says it's loading endlessly.
Other sites like Google Reader are unusable because they rely on AJAX to fetch info every time you load the page. Everything works fine on other browsers though.

You can try to disable Firebug.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

New .Mac Web Gallery features don't work in Opera

I'm seriously bummed that these really amazing new features don't work in Opera. Only Opera has a full-screen viewing mode. Utilizing these .Mac features in full-screen mode is like using iPhoto in full-screen mode.

Haven't tried it myself, but when it was announced I thought they mentioned it works in "every" browser. What happens when you use it in Opera?

Do not Disturb feature don't work.

I had the same issue. Found it out.
You need to set the device in locked mode with black screen.
Then it works.
If the screen is switched on, the device "thinks" you are doing something and can also take a call.
Try it out. Black sreen for a minute or so.

Typography panel: OpenType features don't work easily

I encounter similar problem with Cocoa typography panel in iWork applications. I say that because it seems to work with TextEdit. Before 10.5, iWork 08, like previous versions worked fine with my machine.
I tried several times to:
-- remove iwork prefs (users and general)
-- remove font caches with FontNuke
-- re-installing iWork from the cd + updates.
Still, typographic features (OpenType features) don't work well. They are inconsistent without to exactly understand what happening internally. Sometimes, Typographic panel is active and work well, until I switch to another font family. If I key a text like "Texte Th ct st ffi 0123456" and I try to apply globally ligatures, rare ligatures, various figures/figures spacings, it doesn't work or rare ligatures produce ligatures, or reverse. Weird.
Similar problems appear whatever I try them with Apple core fonts like Hoefler Text (AAT font), Adobe Pro fonts like Garamond Premier (OpenType Type 1 flavor), like Microsoft Vista fonts like Corbel (OpenType TrueType flavor), like my own fonts in .otf or .ttf with OpenType features.
There is an Apple bug or a problem on my Powerbook Pro with my 10.5 install??

You are right, typographic features whether AAT or OT do not behave consistently. Moreover, anything you draw with a smart glyph shaping (Apple MORX or Microsoft GSUB) may not be mapped back to source character specifications which are instead clipped in the Portable Document Format. Thus the more formal your typography, the more doomed your document is to disappear in search systems.

8961 call features don't work on CME

Dear all,
I installed the 8961 using sip on CME 8.8, and I have configured the feature-buttons on the template which includes call pickup, call park and transfers, and these feature buttons can display on the screen. But when I use these buttons, I get the busy tone, that means these feature buttons don't work.
Are there any other setting steps for using these call features?

Blocking Cookies, something don't work on several site.

When I block Cookies, Something will not work.
For example, at twitter.com (of cource displaying login or sign-in page, since cookies off ) ,
Pulldown menu of selecting language don't work. and I cannot input anything to textbox about password.

Sites can keep track of you among thousands of visitors either by using cookies or by adding a unique code to the address. If the site only uses cookies, blocking cookies will make every request look like a new visit from a stranger. Preferences you set with one request will be lost on the next page load.
That shouldn't prevent you from typing in a form, but the site may have a script that checks whether you are accepting cookies and turns different features on and off based on what it discovers.

After upgrading my Aperture software, the adjustment tools don't work on most my projects. only a few. what happened?

Help... After upgrading, only SOME of my libraries allow the adjustments tools to work. What do I do to regain access that allows me to edit my photos?

I recall that from Aperture 2 to 3 the RAW decoder was updated and some of the adjustments required you to manually reprocess the RAW file using the new decoder. I don't remember the exact button but it appears on top with the RAW decode brick and says something like reprocess RAW. Once you do this, the new adjustments will work.
This only would matter if you are using RAW files.

Swipe between ful-screen apps: Does not work after system has been asleep. Have to restart or log out/in to get it to resume working.

Assuming you've first checked Software Update to see if there are any updated drivers and it's still not working, you could try resetting the printing system.
System Preferences>Print & Scan, Control+Click or Right Click on a printer on the left and select 'reset printing system'. All printers will be deleted and need to be added again.

Side manu buttons don't work in active site as it is designed.

I had this issue before.
My created buttons with different states do not work as i made them.

These buttons have 3 states. Normal, rollover and active. This slideshow set on Autoplay and when you mousover any button main image jumps to that one .
On mousover(rollover) my text color should remain the same dark blue and background color change to white-blue gradient( one you see now on active state). Then in Active stayt buttonn spose to have dark-purple backgroun color and text to be a turquoise color (one you see now on rollover state).
I dont know why this problem rises again and again?
This is frastrating.

I found what this script, work correctly in Bridge, Illustrator, ExtendSript Toolkit(ofcause for it i little change the first string). And it dont work in Photoshop x64, and ofcause, as i say it dont work in AE.
I guess this is due to 64-bit architecture. May be i`m wrong....
Anyway, i would ask the developers to take these small but very unpleasant shortcomings in future versions. And.. maybe somebody can suggest how else I can implement the interaction between integrated into the panel FlashPlayer and AE?

Click on a station and drag to the left. The playlists sidebar will open up. Drop on the playlist you want to add to.

Audigy 2ZS PCMCIA notebook card most functions don't work with Vi

As I've found out the hard way many of the features of this card don't work due to Vista, I've spent hours reading the many problems associated with the different cards and vista, I cannot find the recording source Line in with the Creative media source player so I cannot transfer music from cassette?or Vinyl?to MP3 or what ever. The mixer and?equilizer?won't work either, as with the smart management volume normalization, I've reinstalled the drivers as per the advice of many still doesn't solve my problems. Would be nice if some of these feartures worked as that's the reason for buying the card. Don't bother contacting customer support they don't get back to you. Any help out there?

I opened the Creative Audio Console and pushed reestablish standards and now it goes.
I still got a nasty crackling but that's a minor evil
