FI-AR v/s FI-CA

Gurus, do you know whats the aproximate number of customer/documents that would suggest to use FI-CA instead of FI-AR?
Or in other words, what the recomended aproximated maximum number of customer/documents that you should have to use FI-AR instead of FI-CA?
Best regards.

There are no published rules or guidelines for FICA vs FIAR.  One major initial consideration would be the billing solution - several industry solutions (Media, Insurance, Waste & Recycling. Telecommunications, Utilities, etc) are designed to work with FICA and are very integrated with that Financials solution.  Aside from that, FICA offers deeper functionality in many areas like dunning, security deposit, returns, etc.  It is also designed to handle large volumes (and has a lot of automated processes for this reason) and has a more flexible data model than FIAR.
Here a link to a document that has more detailed analysis.

bill.
