FI Archiving - System error: Customer/vendor line item not on OI basis

While archiving FI Documetns using object FI_Documnt, I am getting message System error: Customer/vendor line item not on OI basis for few non archivable documents. Is it like these also open items and can not be able to archive them. Or what is the root cause of these error message.

Hi Adisha,
This error pertains to the accounting fundamentals and SAP does not have anything to do with this....you ask yourself that if you were not using SAP and simlar problem came your way what would you have done...this has no solution...
Either you wait for the next invoice with big amount but which seems bit impractical..
In this we really need to consult the Accounting Standards to see what it could allow.

    Hi Guys,
    I am trying to release an invoice using VF02 transaction but I recieved the below error message:
    Message no. 7Q321
    Withholding tax amount exceeds the customer/vendor line item amount 001
    There are 2 SAP (718078 and 513201) notes regarding that but they are not applicable in ECC 6.0.
    How can I figure out this issue?

    Hi,
    This may happen because you have give base exemption and after that charge tax. In this case you have posted earlier invoice w/o wht and now you are posting the small amount of invoice on which wht is calculated including the earlier exempt amt. In this case the wht exceeds the base amt.
    In this case if possible you first post the invoice with sufficient amount which can deduct the WHT .
    If your scenario is different give details.

  • Need Profit Centre,WBS element fields in Customer/Vendor Line item display

    Dear Experts,
    In Standard SAP we do not have the Profit Center, WBS Element in Customer / Vendor line item functionality. Now we need to develop user exit, when User try to post transactions like MIRO, F-02, FB01 system should ask the Profit Center field and WBS Element field in Vendor / Customer line items.
    I dont know the actual functionality, The consultant has given example as 3 transactions, Do we need to update any other transactions also. If yes please provide me the information.
    Can anyone help me with the solution.

  • NEW GL: Customer/Vendor Line items cannot be displayed per business area

    Hello ECC 6.0 Masters!
    We have implemented Standard Document Splitting by Business area(BUSA). See below scenario..
    ENTRY VIEW

    GL VIEW

    However after implementation we discovered that because the Customer/Vendor BUSA is blank in entry view, we now cannot derive reports that are normally based on the BUSA of Customer/Vendor line item, which we used to be able to do prior to implementing NEW GL.
    Some of them are below:
    1. Debtor Ageing Analysis (Standard)
    2. Customer/Vendor line items per BUSA (Standard)
    3. Several other Sublegder based custom reports we have that neeed to be categorized by BUSA
    My question now is..Is there a way to derive these Business Area information under Vendor and Customer account to produce our reports? Especially for the Ageing which is key to the business process of my client.
    I hope somebody there has experienced this before. thanks!

    You will not get ageing reports based on BA after new gl migration. You need to bring the info from the new gl tables. one of the easiest ways is to get the info from the table FAGL_SPLINFO by passign BSEG-BELNR. For defining ageing reports in new gl use t code FKI3 and FDI3 for Vendors and Customers respectively.

    For each vendor account, the system notes which line items have been posted to the account. You can specify the sort sequence of the line items by entering a key in the Sort key field within the account master record. This key specifies how the Allocation field is to be filled in the line items posted to the vendor account. When you call up the line item display, the system sorts the line items according to the contents of the field. You can change the sort sequence in the line item display.

    Thanks for your kind response.  Currently, in Central Invoice - no Central Invoice is checked.
    Is it OK.  For Central Inv. & 1st P.pmt. indicator, the help document says it is used in Argentina only.
    We have not yet proceeded for payment stage. Still MIRO has to be completed for the MIGO done
    for last line item and thereafter the payment will be done.  It is right to clear the downpayment
    for the 7 invoices generated now so that this error will not come during MIRO for 8th line item.
    In the meantime, I will also go through the SAP notes referred by you.

  • Vendor Line Item not cleared after F110

    Hi Gurus,
    We encountered an issue. The payment run was processed last April 18 and the vendor invoices were captured during the payment run and in the aging report, these invoices didn't appear as Open Item.
    In between April 19 until August 19, these invoices are not part of the proposal list until the when they run payment on August 20. The value is zero and in the proposal list, there is a value in the Reason to Print Advice "A".
    What is the reason for this?

    For that invoice payment delete uncompleted payment
    proposal.
    U go through this path select F4 in run date field
    There check it any un completed proposal is there and delete
    that invoice line item will come for payable

    Im not sure but may be its because in the config. of 1099 Withholding tax we usually say that the with holding is to be posted only after payment of the open items.
    So, lets try this. Look at if the documents which are showing withhld tax in FBL1N if they are paid or not.
    this would give us some help or hopefully the answer..

  • Profit Center in Customer and Vendor Line item

    Hello Guru
    i have one doubt we have activated the new GL in one of client for profit center level. while posting through any of financial transaction particularly customer and vendor there is no filed for input parameters for profit center. while booking these kind of transaction system pick up the dummy profit center. even our field status group for  gl master data and posting key made as optional PCA filed not displaying.    client want it should be pick up  automatically from line item and should be input parameters.
    how to resolve this issue please let me know.

    Hi,
    You are saying that u have activated New G/L, but are u gone for document spliting also or not? if you have activated document spliting customer and vendor line items not at all required any profit center because it will petch the profit center from oppsite line item automatically for giving tallyed balance sheet at profit center leavel, so no question profit center required or going to dummy profit center because dummy profit center will be locked automatcially once u activate document spliting.
    if you have not activated document spliting then customer and vendor line items may require profit center its depends on your field status settings, if you feel that it should not go to dummy profit center then maintain some profit center in 3keh & 3kei settings for customer and vendor reconcliation accounts, so that it will post to that profit center.

  • Due date in vendor line items

    I would like to know if it is possible via Customizing to get the due date taking into account a calendar in order to avoid the due date in a non-working date.
    If it's not possible via Customizing, how can we get it?
    Does the standard cover this requirement?

    I am not sure whether the functionality can be established via Customizing...based on Customer or Vendor Payment Terms (OBB8).
    But, I can advise a solution that can be acheived programatically (technically).
    Configure a Substitution step (OBBH), may be for item level, in the form of User-exit and inform your developer to embed the logic for verifying the Due Date in the customer/vendor line item against the calender (using appropriate function modules that are available in the standard) and substitute the Due Date to a working day, if required.
    Hope this helps you in resolving the problem.

    When I select payment block : 'Payment Request' in FB60. Error Message appear "Line item not relevant for payment release".
    I also have set payment block in master vendor and  OBB8.

    Do you have any workflow variant in place?
    Moreover, when you have already set the Payment block at Master level, you need not to fix it in transaction level.
    Vendor itself will not get paid until unless you remove the block option

    We are using the Net Invoice Posting with document type RN(Invoice- Net). We are generating different vendor line items in the accounting document based on the withholding tax codes involved in the invoice posting. When it comes to net invoice posting system is giving an error message M8-688 - Creation of vendor line items is not possible for document type RN. Is there is any way to create multiple vendor items with net invoice posting? Please suggest.

    I dont think that there is any way because it is a hardcoded error message.
          IF NOT t003-xnetb IS INITIAL.
            MESSAGE e688 WITH pi_rbkpv-blart.
          ENDIF.
    SAP is checking the customizing for net/gross posting per document type in table T003
    And if it is set up as net, then it is a hard error.
