FI Document Archiving

We are in the process of archvinig FI Documents, (FI_DOCUMNT archiving object),
Which standard T-codes or reports other than FB03, FBL5n, FBL3n, and FBL1n will be effected?
the Archive AS system takes care of the above t-codes , any other reports or t-codes we should worry about?

Hi,
For every archiving object there are data base tables behind it so when you archive line items/entries for archiving object it is going to impact all reports or tcodes where output is pulled from these data base tables.
For any business reason you need reports for past years then it is better to have copy of all legal reports before you execute archiving run for object.

Logical repositories for Document Archiving

Hi.
We are changing all our content repositories to Logical Repositories and it has worked 100% for data archiving objects. (No more re-customizing after a copy) But this does not seem to work for Document archiving.
OAC3, field Cont.Rep.ID only sees selective repositories. Investigation showed that table TOAAR only caters for 2 CHAR on the ARCHIV_ID, which is fine in our case, because the logical repositories have been created as such. TOAAR however does not contain the logical repository entries.
Please advise how we can proceed to also make use of logical repositories for Document archiving.

SD Billing Document Archive Issue

Hi Guru,
I have encountered an issue related SD Billing Document Archive.
The issue is like below :
In our system there is provision that we can Archive SD through ""Services For Object"" option in VF02.
Generally the way we archive it is as below steps:
1. Open a particular billing document through VF02 which need to be archive.
2. Then we click on ""Pricing Condition Header"" -> It takes you to the pricing detail screen with "Output" button in the application tool bar.
3. Then we click on "Output" button -> It takes you to the screen throuh which o/p of the billing document is configured.
4. We set the following parameters for archiving
    output type = ZTR1
    Medium = Printing output.
    Function = BP
   Partner = desired partner number
5. Using ""Further Data" button we set the Dispatch time to "4. Send Immediately (when saving the application)""
6. Using ""Communication method" we set the Logical destination to LP01 and storage mode to "3.Print and archive" and Print Immediately option tick marked
7. Press save button created a single spool in Sp01 with spool number.
In spool there is saving only one spool with only 1 spool request type. (say the print preview of spool request type contains 3 pages in 1 spool request)
But when i am viewing the archiving document through vf03/vf02 in ""Services For Object"" I am able to find for the same spool 3 separate pages is in archived document.
when i tried to find out the reason by debugging setting the breakpoint in the driver prog configured in NACE. the debugging cursor is not stopping there...
So Guru what might be the possible reason because of which 3 separate pages in being archived instead of 1 and the cursor is not getting stopped at the o/p type's driver prog.
Please provide some guideline so that I can resolve this..

Billing Documents Archiving

Hello Folks,
Could some one let me know about Billing Output Archiving?
I want to know the concept of archiving, and whats the transaction code to view the archieved outputs.

Billing Output archiving?
1. If you are looking for archiving Invoice document that is sent to customer then we can use concept Document archiving. Here we will archive this document and link it with the business application data.
2. If you want to archive spool list of the billing output then we have to follow the print list archiving.
3. If you are looking for archiving billing data from table VBRK, then we will follow data archiving.
Concept of Archiving: Please refer to Archiving Management Guide which gives you clear information of Archiving concept. Please see this link

Transaction code to view the archived output: There are various ways to get the archived documents.

our org uses sharepoint as a document management product and many users upload documents in sharepoint daily,
and searchable from sharepoint by users,
and this farm has 5 web applications according to business purpose.
and each web app has 1 Million documents, and we have plan to archive every document in each web app

Documents Archiving

Hi Experts,
While i archive the documents through program DVSARCH1in SE-38 transaction we are getting the mesaage as Logical file name or logical path name incorrectly defined.
The above program is runned only for the documents which are marked with deletion flag..
Can anyone tel me how solve this issue...

How many documents archived

I have Archived the objects CO_ITEM and FI_DOCmnt and I need to know the number of documents archived.
Where can I get this number please?

Hi Roger,
SARA->Management is the right way.
Go to SARA, input the object name, click on management. In management you will have 'complete archive sessions', under that you will have your archive sessions(with number and date) and under that you can see your archive files (eg. 000051-001FI_DOCUMNT). double click on that and you can see details like archive session, archive date and you can also see the 'number of objects' which is the number of documents archived, which is for that particular file. So if you want to find out the total number of objects, you will have to add the number of objects for all the archive sessions.

Material documents archiving

Presently trying to archive material documents through SARA and using object MM_MATBEL. Is this only for inventory maange ment or mat doc generated through process orders can also be archived (transaction type WR).
For variant picking the document on the date basis. But when execute it says no document found while documents are there in the MKPF table.
Further when trying using program RM07MARCNot able to do archive the same.
it display the following message
"Plants/Transact./Event Types for Which Doc. Ret. Period Has Not Been Maintained"
where this needs to be maintained.

In SARA -> Application Specific Customizing for MM_MATBEL -> Define document life
one can set the residence time for material documents per plant and transaction type. Check if you have maintained any entry for transaction type WR or if there is any entry where Plant is '####' and Transaction Type is '##'
If you dont find either entries then you have 2 options.
- Maintain an explicit residence time for transaction type of WR
- Maintain a implicit residence time for all transaction types ie add a entry where transaction type is '##' (This residence time effects only those transaction types which are not maintained explicitly)

I'm trying to the archiving of the archiving object SD_VBKA.
There are around 90,000 documents in the given time period; I've archived around 30,000 documents, not even a single one got archived.
Below are the details :

FI Documents Archiving.

Hello All,
Im tryng to Archive some FI document and using the T Code: SARA. When I complete the process I'm getting the following message in the Job Log:
The OPEN_DI of BTE 00002910 could not determine any function modules
Use of obsolete function module LOGICAL_DOCUMENT_REORG of BTE 00002920
The OPEN_DI of BTE 00002930 could not determine any function modules
The OPEN_DI of BTE 00002940 could not determine any function modules
The OPEN_DI of BTE 00002950 could not determine any function modules
The OPEN_DI of BTE 00002960 could not determine any function modules
Please guide me.

OUTPUT type document archiving is failing

Hi,
We are generating the OUTPUT type documents for billing invoices. For one of the output type the documents are not storing to content server.
tRFC request is generating but it is failing with the below error
SAP ArchiveLink: Obj. type not assigned to storage syst.(Customizing)
I have checked the configuration settings. NACE,OAC0,OAC3,V/33 etc... Everything looks fine
Documents were generating and storing to Filenet for other Output types. Only having the problem with one output type.

It is already maintained. with Print and Archive
Output staus is showing as green, but the document is not storing to Filenet. Even not able to see in attachment list.
tRFC is failing as below
find the root cause as the TOA_DARA details are not updating for AR_OBJECT and SAP_OBJECT fields.
But not sure whether these details upload from the SAP Form or from report.

I am saving and fetching document in OAOR(Business Document Service) using FM BDS_BUSINESSDOCUMENT_CREA_TAB and BDS_ALL_CONNECTIONS_GET. for a Class for Class Type :OT.

Date Variant for Shipment Cost document archiving

Hii
I want to archive the shipment cost document in my system for a particular date range.
When i go to the transaction SARA and put the object name as SD_ VFKK, it doesnt show me the date variant.
Whereas when i archive shipment(object: SD_VTTK), date variant is available.
Can anyone suggest any kind of setting which needs to be done in order to use the date variant for the object SD_VFKK

Hi Gaurav,
Actually for Object SD_VFKK, when you to transaction code SARA and click on write variant, you dont have date option there. You can archive it only on the basis of Shipement Cost Document number.
If you will give me the details then I can see what you are actully looking for.
