FI documents long text display reports

Hi experts,
Is there any report which can display long text of FI documents as list?

Hi,
Actually the field I am looking for is not SGTXT. The field is shown via button in line item display if you click "Long text" button located next to text.
Then, pop-up for "Long Text for Document Line Item" is shown and the target text can be seen from the right button "Long overview". (This text is edited via Microsoft Word)
I want this whole long text in the report if available, or as query. Is it possible?

    2. There will be many Fm.
    3. The commonly used are
    READ_TEXT
    EDIT_TEXT
    SAVE_TEXT

    Hi,
    For displaying long text in rows or column,
    go to menu bar>Formatting>Rows/column texts. Under this tab, you can select shot, medium, long as required for both rows and columns.
    Further, to display fiscal year along with text in column, you must have asisgned variable for fiscal year in column. Go to text of the column and mention &variable of fiscal year assigned for the column after the text.

    These long texts are not stored completely in any tables
    where as the parameters of these texts like OBJECT,OBJECTNAME and ID, LANGUAGE are stored in STXH table
    You have to pass these 4 parameters to the fun module READ_TEXT and to fetch the text.
    Double click on the long text will goes to text editor
    from menu GOTO-> HEADER  you will see the above 4 paramters

    READ_TEXT
    READ_TEXT provides a text for the application program in the specified work areas.
    The function module reads the desired text from the text file, the text memory, or the archive. You must fully specify the text using OBJECT, NAME, ID, and LANGUAGE. An internal work area can hold only one text; therefore, generic specifications are not allowed with these options.
    After successful reading, the system places header information and text lines into the work areas specified with HEADER and LINES.
    If a reference text is used, SAPscript automatically processes the reference chain and provides the text lines found in the text at the end of the chain. If an error occurs, the system leaves the function module and triggers the exception REFERENCE_CHECK.

    If the system finds the desired text, it returns the text header in this parameter.

    The table contains all text lines that belong to the text read.

    ID
    The text ID specified in the parameter ID does not exist in table TTXID. It must be defined there together with the object of the text module.
    LANGUAGE
    The parameter LANGUAGE contains a language key that does not exist in table T002.
    NAME
    The parameter NAME contains the name of a text module that does not correspond to the SAPscript conventions.
    Possible errors:
    The field contains only blanks.
    The field contains the invalid characters ‘*’ or ‘,’.

    The text module to be read has no text lines of its own but refers to the lines of another text module. This reference chain can include several levels. For the current text, the chain is interrupted, that is, one of the text modules referred to in the chain no longer exists.

  • (How) Can I include Long Texts in Reports or Queries?

    Hello,
    We need to send our vendors their contract details including some of the long texts data.
    So far we were sending excel spreadsheets to the vendors without the long texts. Is there some way we can start sending the spreadsheets to our vendors adding few extra columns for the long texts. Some of the vendors contracts have 20+ lines of data in the long texts.
    Are there any better or easier ways than excel spreadsheets?
    Is any kind of query development possible  where long texts can be included?

    Sorry friends for not communicating my requirement clearly. I am aware of the functions to retrieve the long texts data for purchase orders/contracts.
    I need some help in downloading the data to excel sheets. I believe there are restrictions in the number of characters that can be accomodated in a excel column, so I am not sure if very long texts (say >500 lines & 72 chars each) can be wrapped around within a excel column.
    Also can a query be written to extract long texts, or can long texts, >500 lines & 72 chars each, be displayed using ALVs?

  • Long Text display in WebI using transient provider

    Hi,
    I need to display the long text (about 5000 characters) in WebI report  in one column. I have created a transient provider and query with 84  (5000/60) InfoObject . when i tried to create the WebI query with all 84 dimensions,  got error
    "Termination message sent  ABEND RSBOLAP (000): Program error in class  CL_RSBOLAP_QV_RESULT_SET
    method : TOO_MANY_DRILL_DOWN_OBJECTS
    MSGV1: CL_RSBOLAP_QV_RESULT_SET  MSGV3: TOO_MANY_DRILL_DOWN_OBJECTS (WIS 00000)"
    I think more than 50 fields can not be fetched and displayed.
    So to over come this I created 2 WebI queries having 42 fields each. I concatenated 42 dimensions from each query in to 2 variables. But when I tried to concatenate these 2 variables system does not allow that it gives #DATASYNC error. Could you please help here, how to archive this?

  • Long Text display in BW

    HI Gurus,
    Im pulling the data from R/3. Where in R/3 there is a comment that is carried out daily on the user transactions. The comment that users would enter would be Max of 255 chars. So, in BW the user needs the comment to be displayed in the same lenght as that of in R/3.
    I have created an Infoobject of only 60 chars which is included in Infoprovider for the comment. Which has to be displayed in the report in full.
    But, I need the comment to have the same length as that of in r/3 i.e 255( which can display 255 chars of length).
    Table in the R/3 is likely below:
    Mat1: Invoice1: comment1
           : Invoice2: comment2
           : Invoice3: comment3
    Mat2: Invoice1: comment4
           : Invoice2: comment5
    So, a material may have different Invoices and different comments.
    Please, help me out.

  • Short coming in BAPI for saving Document Long Text

    Hello Experts,
    I would be thankful to you if anyone of you offer a solution to the problem below.
    I have found that the tables parameter LONGTEXTS of function BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE/CHANGE2/CREATE/CREATE2 (structure BAPI_DOC_TEXT) could include the field TDFORMAT so that the user can specify how the next line should be interpreted by the editor.  This would be in accordance with the tables parameter LINES of function SAVE_TEXT which is used to save long text.  Currently only the text line is catered for in the BAPI and the TDFORMAT is therefore defaulted to u2018*u2019 in the SAVE_TEXT function which causes each line in the table to be treated as a new line. 
    What if the user wanted the lines to be treated as continuous text?

    Is there an OSS note or some way to allow for a header text field that is longer than 25 characters for FI document postings?  I know of the method to attach text files and attachments to the actual document but I want to see if there is an actual field that can be directly leveraged in the system instead.

    Create a hotspot for the long text column of ALV.
    When user clicks on the hotspot, handle the event to display long text screen.
    You may refer sample program of hotspot ALV :
    Goto SE38
    Type BCALV*
    Click F4
    search for HOTSPOT or EVENTS & you will get a sample program.

    Can I directly updating the long text information with the fuction save_text?
    The long text is in :
    tcode: fb02 -->input document no ... --> Document overview --> select one document
    long text --> updating the value.
    Becaust I want to update some items in a G/L Account with bdc or other technique, but I found I can't   choose the items in the G/L Account with bdc automatically .That means I can't get the selected items and update them.So I try to update them with the function save_text  directly (I know the doc no，bukrs,fiscal year ,item no which will decide the long text item).

    Yes, you can update directly using SAVE_TEXT.

    You can see the Long Text in report as well,
    For that you have to make a setting Go to respective InfoObject > click on Business Explorer Tab> Change the Bex Description from short to long --> save and Actiavte
    Now the report reflects Long Description instead of short
