FI full cycle implementation question

Hello All
Can someone give me their insight on a full cycle implementation in FI module or production support. I would like to know what are the typical tasks, project cycle, etc involved in it. I am preparing for interview and this will be my first project. I wanted to know what really happens in a project. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Smitha

Hi,
Below steps are the the highlevel plan for the BW implementation
1. AS IS process - Study of the existing process.
2. To be process mapping - What will be the new process.
3. customizaiton in SAP & query development - Customizing the cubes and ODS
4. Unit testing - Testing of each and every module and reports
5. Full testing - Full system testing. In this step all steps are integrated so, it is also known as Integration testing.
6. End-user training - Training for the Power user (first line users) by the SAP Consultants. They will in turn train to other users.
7. Go-live
8. Support for initial month-ends. -
9. Post implementation support....
Hope this helps..

  • Question about full cycle charges and battery life

So I've had the new iPad since day 1 and absolutely love it, though recently I've noticed that my battery life doesn't seem to hold up as well as it has in the past. I've done three full cycle charges since getting it however during my latest one I accidently brought along my iPod wall charger and not the one that comes with the iPad. My iPad was fully discharged and I plugged it in assuming that in the 7 hour window I had that it would be fully charged within 5 hours, but this was not the case due to me having the wrong charger. After about 7 hrs of charging it was only at around 60-70% so I had to unplug it, bring it home, then plug it in once more using the correct charger. Probably a fairly obvious question but does this not count as a full cycle charge because I unplugged it? Should I perform another full cycle charge even though this most recent one was not even a week ago. I know you're supposed to completely discharge your battery as few times as possible so it worries me having to do it again so soon.
About battery life, I've noticed lately that my iPad battery seems to be depleting quicker than normal, and was hoping that perhaps this was caused by being overdue for a full-cycle charge which I may have flubbed as seen above. I'm aware of a majority of the little tips and tricks to prolong battery life however I'm not so knowledgeable on the "do's and don'ts" of charging the actual iPad so any information on that would be helpful. I should also note that unfortunately I accidently left by iPad in a hot car for a little over an hour and was tremendously devastated knowing what this can do to the battery, so could this be the main cause for a seemingly weaker battery?
    Thanks for any feedback!

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Can more than 1 full life cycle implementations be done for a company?

    Hi there,
Can anybody please tell me if its possible to do more than 1 full life cycle implementation for a company with multiple company codes? From my understanding, SAP life cycle is ASAP methodology, starting from project preparation to go-live. So if I'm implementing sap for 1 company code, I'll be completing 1 full life cycle implementaion. Now if i do the same for another company code, for the same parent company, will that be considered as 2 full life cycle implementation? Kindly help. I'm not so clear about this full life cycle implementation concept.
    Would really appreciate your gekp.
    Awaiting response,
    Fieona

    HI,
Well I think It is possible but there are two cases.
If the implementation is in some company code having same business as the company in which initially SAP was implemented and all the business processed are same then in that case it would be called Rollout. In rollout you would only create the Organizational data that is enter prise structure and master data for that company but there will be no new process configuration as all the running process are already there.
How ever if you talk about the group lets say has two three completely different business for ex AUto mobile and Power and you implemented it initially in Automobile. Now you want to implement in Power generation sector then definately it would be a fresh implementation. In this case the most important is that you will prepare new BBP as all the business process are different. A complete new documentations, new master data , org elements and a different realization phase and testing phase would be there.
Please correct If I am wrong.

  • How can I get the "Full cycle SAP project experience"?

    Hi,experts
I'm a beginner of PI and familar with java, now i have got good acquaintence of PI architecture and familiar with ESR and ID in PI,but now i'm confused with the development aspect of PI expert...one thing is that full cycle sap project experience is a must, but how can i get that while i just always repeating the boring creation of PI objects and do the mapping, routing tasks etc...

    Hi Rajesh,
If you started working with new implementation project then you will get a chnace to involve in all phases like Blue printing, analysys, realization, development testing.
Creation of obejcts in ESR or ID its not a big deal, but when you are working with complex landscape then you feel to elanr and many newthing in PI how to achieve the requirement using Writing some good UDF and using node function ...Adapter Modules or JAVA Mapping or XSLT Mappings..and many.
When you get in to SAP PI project, when you started development first you will start analysing the functional document and then you will start preparing techincal specification, then mapping specification then development,testing..these all tasks happend in pahse by phase.after completion of development then you wl tesing the interfaces ,preparing test cases...
we can say full lide cycle implemenattion prijects invloves above all tasks.
    Regards,
    Raj

  • What is a full cycle?

Is full cycle when you charge fully? Or is it the times when the battery life goes under 50% Very confused. Also how often should i fully charge my mbp to keep the battery healthy? Lastly under how much battery percentage should i charge? Sorry for many question. Thank you

This article has the info about Battery Cycle Count.

  • Window inheritance problem, implementation question

    Hi!
I have a window inheritance and implementation question. I'm using
    Forte 3.0.J.1.
I have a super (base) window with a PushButton on it. I want to
handle the Click event of the button in this super window therefore
    I create an event handler.
    <MyBtn> : PushButton
I create a sub window inheriting from the previous super window.
I put some data widgets on it and group all of them (the inherited
button as well) into a GridField. When I set the mapped type of the grid
the name of the inherited PushButton widget changes:
    <MainGrid.MyBtn> : PushButton
When I run the application I get a SystemException with the
    message:
Attempt to register an event on a NIL object (qqds_C_FieldWidget, 10).
    Traceback:
    SuperWindow.EH at line 0
    SubWindow.Display at line 5
    C++ Method(s)
    UserApp.Run at offset 105
It is quite understandable that in runtime there is no widget called
    <MyBtn>
and the event handler of the super class fails.
But what I don't know : after specifing a mapped type of a GridField why
    changes
the name of those widgets that haven't got mapped type e.g.: PushButton,
    PictureButton etc.
    How to solve this situation?
I made a sall example which i send in attachment.
Thanks for any help and advice in advance...

Changed my final code too because it seemed to always add the 10% whether YesWarranty was true or false, so made it
if (TrueWarranty==true) //There is a warranty, it returns the base price plus 10%
return (base+((base/100)*10));May have posted here too early if it does work, but there is another part so if ive trouble with that il be back :P

Changed base to double and used the *0.1 method

  • Purchase full cycle process with T-Codes and screen shots

    HI GURUS,
will anyone mail PO Full Cycle with screen shots? And t-codes
    1. PURCHASING REQUISITION
    2. REQUEST FOR QUOTATION
    3. QUOTATION
    4. PURCHASE ORDER
    5. GOOD'S RECEIPT
    6. INVOICE VERIFICATION
    7. PAYMENT

The typical procurement cycle for a service or material consists of the following phases:
    1. Determination of Requirements (MD02 / ME51N): - Materials requirements are identified either in the user departments or via materials planning and control. (This can cover both MRP proper and the demand-based approach to inventory control. The regular checking of stock levels of materials defined by master records, use of the order-point method, and forecasting on the basis of past usage are important aspects of the latter.) You can enter purchase requisitions yourself, or they can be generated automatically by the materials planning and control system.
    2. Source Determination: - The Purchasing component helps you identify potential sources of supply based on past orders and existing longer-term purchase agreements. This speeds the process of creating requests for quotation (RFQs), which can be sent to vendors electronically via SAP EDI, if desired.
    3. Vendor Selection and Comparison of Quotations (ME41 / ME47 / ME49): - The system is capable of simulating pricing scenarios, allowing you to compare a number of different quotations. Rejection letters can be sent automatically.
    4. Purchase Order Processing (ME21N): - The Purchasing system adopts information from the requisition and the quotation to help you create a purchase order. As with purchase requisitions, you can generate Pos yourself or have the system generate them automatically. Vendor scheduling agreements and contracts (in the SAP System, types of longer-term purchase agreement) are also supported.
    5. Purchase Order Follow-Up: - The system checks the reminder periods you have specified and - if necessary - automatically prints reminders or expediters at the predefined intervals. It also provides you with an up-to-date status of all purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
    6. Goods Receiving and Inventory Management (MIGO): - Goods Receiving personnel can confirm the receipt of goods simply by entering the Po number. By specifying permissible tolerances, buyers can limit over- and under deliveries of ordered goods.
    7. Invoice Verification (MIRO): - The system supports the checking and matching of invoices. The accounts payable clerk is notified of quantity and price variances because the system has access to PO and goods receipt data. This speeds the process of auditing and clearing invoices for payment.
    Rebate Process:
    1. XK02 - Changing a Vendor Master Record (Activate "Subsequent Settlement" and "Sebseq. sett. index" in Purchasing view)
    2. MEB1 - Creating a Rebate Arrangement
    3. ME21N - Creating a Purchase Order
    4. MIGO - Processing the Goods Receipt for the Purchase Order
    5. MIRO - Processing the Incoming Invoice on the Basis of a Purchase Order
    6. MEB4 - Creating an Interim Settlement
    7. MEU2 - Creating a Business Volume Comparison
    8. MEB2 - Creating a Final Settlement
A centrally agreed contract is involved if:
A single purchasing organization procures for an entire corporate group, or
A reference purchasing organization makes a contract available to other associated purchasing organizations, enabling the latter to issue release orders against this contract
Centrally Agreed Contracts are created in same transaction ME31K, but here is some difference in maintaining the pricing conditions and partner functions.
    Maintaining Plant Conditions
    1. When maintaining the centrally agreed contract, choose Edit > Plant conditions > Overview.
    2. On the overview screen that then appears, enter the desired plant and choose "Overview" icon Plant prices.
    3. An item overview screen appears, starting from which you can maintain conditions.
Choose Item > Conditions to access the condition maintenance screen.
    4. Return to the overview and repeat the process for all plants for which you wish to store plant-specific conditions.
    5. Save your input.
    Maintaining Partners
You can maintain the different partners either in the vendor master record or individually in the contract. If the partners have been maintained in the vendor master, they are suggested in the contract.
    Maintaining partners in a contract
    1. In the contract, choose Header > Partners.
    2. The Data Retention Level: Partners screen appears. Enter the plant and/or vendor sub-range, and choose ENTER. The Maintain Partners screen appears.
    Note
To see which partners have already been maintained, select the desired item and choose "Display" button Level.
    3. Enter the desired partner and return to the item overview for the contract.
    4. Save your input.
Maintaining partners in the vendor master
    1. Choose Extras > Different data on the Partner Roles (partner functions) screen in the vendor master record.
    2. On the Create Different Data screen, enter the plant or vendor sub-range and select Partner Roles.
    3. Click "Enter" button. The Change Vendor: Partner Roles screen appears.
    4. Enter the desired partners and click "SAVE" button to save your input.
Then create Release orders (in ME21N) w.r.t. Centrally Agreed Contrat

  • Perform Full Cycle Count - No Data Found

I am trying to initialize a full cycle count for all items in a subinventory. I have a recent ABC compile set and a new cycle count setup. A, B, C and D classes are all set to count 1x per year. I have verified that all items from the compile are no in the cycle count. I submitted a "Cycle Count Scheduler" request and ensured that it completed. I then set all the parameters in the "Perform Full Cycle Count" request and set to save to file. After it completes and I view the output, the file says "No data found". My only recourse is to dump all items from Material workbench and use Data Load to enter them in ( a bit tedious for 900+ items). Is there anything I need to be doing different?

You mention that you have done the ABC setups.
But in Cycle count setups, have you defined a cycle count schedule?
And more importantly, in cycle count classes, have you entered the frequency at which each class should be counted?
Last but not the least, what is the last count date (on the serial and schedule tab)?
If it is today, you will have to wait till tomorrow.
    Hope this helps,
    Sandeep Gandhi

  • Oracle BPEL Process Manager Full Cycle

    Hi there -
I am using the SOA suite v 10.1.3.3.1 and deployed my process using jDeveloper BPEL designer. I created a test process for a simple manager approval, deployed it, and approved/denied it in the worklist. It worked fine. I created a new process (a human task for a manager to approve a request), deployed it, went to the worklist and received the above error. The error began when I went to approve/deny. It stated that "An error occured while processing your request". When I dug a little deeper, this was the entire error message below. Any ideas? How do I troubleshoot this more?
Thank you for your help and suggestions.
