Hi,
When ever you need to pull any report from your R/3 system which is not there is SAP standard report. We will use these tables.
BKPF:- Accounting Document Header
BSEG:-accounint document segment lien items
BSIK : vendor openitemes
BSAK - vendor cleareditems
BSID : Cstomer openitems
BSAD:- Custoemr Cleard Items

Hi FI Gurus,
I am looking after a Support Project in SAP IS-Retail. I am from the FI functional and possess very limited knowledge in FI.
My client has done the sales posting in SAP using IDOC's. During the postings, it was found that wrong Profit Centers were assigned. Due to this, the sales reports based on Profit Center are coming wrong. It was suggested to the client to reverse the IDOCs, do necessary changes in Profit Centers and re-post the IDOCs. The client wanted a short method to get the reports right. A senior consultant (Non FI) in the Company and the Management are forcing me to write a ABAP program to update certain (not all) FI tables. According to me, it will have some negative impact on the system for which reason I am not ready to take the call as a Project Manager. The management wants me to do the following (I am quoting the same mail which I received from the consultant ) :
We need to update the correct profit center in tables BSEG / BSAS / BSIS / BSIK / BSAK / BSID / BSAD, wherever the records exists against billing document numbers provided.
BAPI for updating profit center in Accounting documents: BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST
Function Module : 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE'
Also look at SAP Note: Note 966428 - FB02: Functional area (FKBER) can be changed on coding block
Based on the above, the ABAPer has written the program, the program will update the tables BSEG, BSIS, BSIK, according to the selection criteria of document number, company code and line item number with the new profit centers.
Please clarify me about the following :
1. This program is updating profit center in just the FI tables (BSEG, BSIS, BSIK etc.), but the New GL tables (faglflexa and faglflext) which have approx. 65 lakh entries in PRD do not get updated with the correct profit center.
2. The Controlling tables also do not get updated with this program yet. Also since the previoius updation of Profit centers did not happen correctly, most of the times the controlling document has not been generated at all. Since we will be updating the profit center in just the FI tables, the controlling document will not be created still. Though there are SAP notes suggesting re-creation of the Controlling documents, which is still an option you can choose. Please confirm.
3. The Special GL also does not get updated because of this.
This is a very critical and hot issue. My job is at Stake as the Management has threatened me of sacking if I do not follow their directives as they are only concerned with their money.
Is the consultant who suggested this change RIGHT ?

There is no standard program or BAPI that would update profit centre in a posted document. You should either develop your own process for it,which is not recommended, but sometimes is essential, or reverse the existing documents and post them with the correct profit centre.

i have extrated the data from 4.7 and uploading into ecc 6.0.
is there any IDOC for uploading data coming from BSID , BSEG AND BKPF tabels?
i checked bapi , i could not find some fields in bapi .pls.advise if any IDOC
As it is very urgent , pls.help me in this regard .

I think you are using the redundant selects to fetch the data from BSEG.
First select all the data into an internal table based on bkpf.
Now you can distribute the data into whatever tables you want using the loop,read-binary search and append statements..

append wa to it2_bseg.

This avoid several database fetches..

table BSID is partly active, does it affect the contents of the table.
when i read from bsid, for few customers i am getting all entries, for others i am getting few entries when i compare it with table bseg.
is it because of the table being partly active ? please suggest.Yes Kranthi if upgradation on table is going on then this isthe only reason the status is partly active moreover this will definetly result in short dump whenever you try to access the table .You surely wont get the all the values or any values as whenever compiler execute the statement where database access is done it will result in the dump.
Please let the upgradation complete and then use the table moreover if you are appending some strucutre then first activate the structure through se11 ,then activate the table and finally adjust the table through se14.
If still table status doesnot change then contact the basis team for the same.

Dicsount he can take can be calculated from the payment terms..
Discount he had takend should can be calculated only after the payment is recd. It is directly stored in the tables.
Hence to meet your requirement, you would need to develop a report with the above fields in place.

When I create an invoice (FB60) I need to update into the header text (BKPF-BKTXT) some information that I need to include into tables BSIK and BSAK in order to use it in transactions like F110 and FBL1N.
I already create a u201CZu201D structure into tables BSIK and BSAK in order to put on them the field BKTXT.
Every time that I create a vendor invoice or a payment the header text copied into the table BSIK, but when I change the field in the document, the value in table BSIK is not updated.
Does anyone can help me to find a solution to this.

I have an Open Item in BSIK which moves to BSAK when cleared. When the clearing document is reversed, the initial document moves to the BSIK table as it is now an open item. For reporting purposes, I need to establish a link between the open document in BSIK table and the initial clearing document in BSAK. How can I show files in table from BlobDomain(image,Doc,pdf etc) with icons
Hi,
i need to display collection of files in a table, the files have been saved as BlobDomain. Db contains different types of files (like jpg,pdf,doc etc), all files should come inside the table regardless of its types,if the file type is image then the file column will show thumb icon of the same. otherwise some other icon should come.Vipin,

What version of JDeveloper/ADF?
How do you tell what the file type is - do you store it in another column or something?
What technologies are you using as the view layer (ADF Faces, Trinidad, Swing, etc)?
What exactly does "all files should come inside the table" mean - I assume you want to use a table (in whatever view technology you are using) to display the file names (I guess) and further if the file type is an image type, you want to display a thumbnail? If you are using JSF/JSP as your view technology - you can easily write a servlet to stream the image files and use an image component (again in whatever view technology you are using) to display the images (search the forum for an example).
But, in general, you need to spend a few minutes to phrase a proper question - much like the respondents on this forum will take a few minutes to provide a helpful answer (when enough information is given in the question).

BinooYou could create and ABAP Query infoset and create your tables links there. Or you can create an ABAP dictionary view.

Table: row1 page1, row2 page 2 etc
Hi have used lvecycle before but need bit of help.
I am going to have a table of data.
With columns:
Candidate name, licence number, date of birth
At the press of a button, i want livecycle to use say row 1 candidate name and enter it in a field on page 1, same for the other columns.
If there is more than one row, i want livecycle too add the right number of pages and add the relevant data. Page 2 means use row 2 etc.
Basically, i am creating a dynamic pdf that will allow a user to enter candidates details that were on a course and then print their certificates all at once. Obviously their will be a master tempate so only the name, licence number and date of birth will change depending on the data entered into the table.
Any ideas.

Reading any value from table into a string (Especially date etc..)
How would I read any value from a table into a string?
Currently doing the following...
data ret_val type string.
select single (wa_map-qes_field) from z_qekko into ret_val
where
angnr = _angnr.
When the source field is a date it bombs though.
The result goes into a BDCDATA-fval.

2 FIELD-SYMBOLS: <value> TYPE ANY.
3 CREATE DATA lp_data LIKE (wa_map-qes_field).
4 ASSIGN lp_data->* TO <value>.
5 SELECT SINGLE (wa_map-qes_field) FROM zquadrem_qekko INTO <value> WHERE angnr = _angnr.
Complains that (wa_map-qes_field) is not defined in line 3.
Think that the bracket thing is only available via SQL.
What about CREATE DATA lp_data type ref to object. ?
Would the above declaration work?

Siebel Business Entity - EIM Table mapping via Integration Objs, Tools etc

I was wanting to know if it is possible to access the mapping a Business Entity has to an EIM table (table name + column name ) when information (metadata + data) about a business entity such as Account is retrieved via an Integration Object ?
Appreciate any other pointers in this direction as well.
Essentially given a business entity and a field in the entity, we want to find out what are all the EIM tables & columns it has a direct mapping to programmitacally.
So other questions are like -
a. Any way by which we can read EIM tables meta data via a web service or VB scripts ?
b. Any programmatic interface to Siebel Tools ?

Preview 'scale to fit paper size' not working for PDFs
If I have a pdf document that is larger than A4, Preview's 'scale to fit paper size' does not seem to do anything. Even the actual preview of the pages in the print dialog doesn't change when toggling the 'scale to fit' option. Strangely, my pdf e-in
