Fibre from openreach, doesn't seem to reach the ca...

Hi All,
I am getting close to having fibre to my home but had found something quite strange. I watched over the past month or so the install of the fibre box next to my BT phone box and was happy as days later I watch an engineer wiring stuff up., again awesome to see.
On friday on way home from work I finally see the Openreach sticker saying Fibre is here, I go home log on pc and do the line checker and nothing. This is strange in my opinion so I contact BT who are my isp and got no info at first apart from the person saying some people where I live can get fibre, I find this strange as we all use the same telephone box as it is a new housing estate.
I wait on hold as he talks to his supervisor and he comes back to say that there is no cable in place from the fibre box to the BT box, I then educated the pperson that NOBODY can have fibre then and what he said previous was a lie but he kept on saying yes some people can get it, I find this amazing seeing as he also stated the BT box was not wired up yet and had no cable.
I have had the line checker tell me dec 12, feb, 13, march 13 and now it says between march and june 13, I really don't understand still how they can not divulge to us PAYING customers as to when the upgrrade wil lbe available and not give the typical check the line checker or the BT openreach exchange checker, both of which are useless, because if you could recieve fibre you would surely not check the checker and complain on a forum or call them up complaining you can't get it.

I'm guessing your still at cf33 4pz. I have just checked the BT Wholesale checker and all the properties in cf33 4pz seem to be connected to pcp1.
The BT Wholesale checker gives an estimated date of 30 June 2013.
There can be many reasons for the delay.
Some problems that can cause delays are:
1) Local council planning permission rejected or delayed.
2) The cabinet is not suitable for FTTC broadband
3) There isn't a adequate power supply
4) Health and safety issues
5) No ducting or inadequate ducting
plus lots more.
The build of the fibre broadband infrastructure in the area isn't always easy and can be very complex.
Individual FTTC cabinets that have been tempted to be installed but have caused a delay or there is a technical problem can and will be skipped if an unforeseen problem occurs, eg collapsed ducting, failed planning permissions etc. Those problems that can be resolved will be at a later date.
Before a FTTC Cabinet (DSLAM Cabinet) is activated and ready for use it firstly needs to be installed and then tested. This process can take upto 2 or 6 months, however if there is a delay then it can take longer.
Also it may take a few working days for the database to get updated after your cabinet has gone live and is ready.
Unfortunately BT Retail (a communication provider/ISP who operates this forum) does not have much say as to when and if you will be able to get FTTC or FTTP/H based broadband such as BT Infinity.
You can keep checking the BT Wholesale Database and BT Infinity website for the most upto date information as these are updated regularly.

**The Fibre-Optic Broadband Rollout is being managed and done by Openreach for all communication providers/ISPs.
BT Retail (a communication provider/ISP) has nothing to do with the rollout of fibre broadband.**

    I  finally solved this problem after toiling with it for a couple of  days.  Solution:  Once you have  burned your CD you must go back into  iTunes to your music/playlists and select the playlist you just burned  and click file; print and you will  get the mosaics that we have been  accustomed to.  I was on hold with  Apple Support when I found this  myself.  Yes......!!!   • My product that I downloaded doesn't seemed to include the fuctions i need.

    First the front apperence of labview 2015 doesn't seemed to match the toturals of that same year type as well as seems to be missing the FRC roboRio Project, as well as in the blank VI or any other there doesn't seemed to be the WPI robotics Library program file. Also when i try to open a program under the one i can open theres no robot main or anything include with that.

    Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
    If your iTunes library is on an external hard drive, but iTunes is not recognizing the library, first make sure the right library is selected.
    You can use these steps to make sure iTunes is opening the library on your external drive:
    If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
    If you're using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu, choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
    If you're using a Mac, open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option key.
    You should see one of these screens:
    Pick Choose Library and locate the library on your external hard drive.

    I have just created my First website using Muse and Its all been uploaded to my FTP server but i cant access the in browser editing which was the whole reason why i re-done the website for my client using muse

    so i am not understanding how it thinks its different. when its fully referenced

    I would like to purchase the  phoyoshop+lightroom programm but I constantly get the following error message:

    I am positive that the information I entered is correct as I checked and tried it more than ten times.

    I have the same issue. Haven't been able to get any work done for almost a week now. I have contacted the support chat 8 times by now - most unhelpful support ever. They all give me the same advice even though i say that i already tried that as if they are reading their answers off a pre-written sheet.
    I have tried 2 credit cards, i have confirmed everything, including the address, with my bank - all good there. Desperate for help, my boss is gonna have my balls soon -.-

    I did not see yours; however, as long as it has firewire, it should work. Did you read the instructions in both your camcorder manual and in iMovie on the steps needed?
    If you can't get it to work after following the steps, what format does it record in? Is it on a memory card? If so, it'd be easy: just use a USB card reader, plug it in and import your footage that way.

  • My HP scanner/printer scans but my iMac doesn't seem to accept the scans in either iPhoto or Pictures.  I've got os 10.6.8 and all the latest sofware updates for the scanner and for iPhoto.  Helpv

    My Hp printer/scanner C5280 used to work fine with my iMac with OS 10.6 but lately after doing the scan it doesn't seem to finish by putting the scan in either iPhoto or in pictures.  I have all the latest sofware updates for both devices. The scanner does the "preview" scan right away and the copier works fine.  Is there some setting I am overlooking?

    Try using Image Capture, you will find it in your Applications folder. In either IC or the method you are using you can tell the application to scan to a destination. It will look similar to:
    If you still have trouble give AppleCare a call or visit your local Apple Store Genius and they can walk you through it. Your problem may be the at you are not defining anything in the preview to be scanned, you do this by dragging the mouse over the area you want scanned and it will draw a box around it.  Here is a screen shot that show's that.

    I am watching a training video from Lynda.com on FCP X and in that video it shows that when importing media from a card as soon as the card is connected an import window pops up with many useful features.  The trouble is that that window never appears for me.  I am shooting with a Canon 5d and recording to a compact flash card.  Lemme guess, this doesn't work for the 5d?

    There are other recent discussions on this very topic with the 5D.  Look for them on this forum.  I own a T2i.  You can get the files, just not maybe in the way your are looking for.  The mov files that the Canon DSLRs record should be able to be brought directly in.  So, IMHO, you can simply copy the files from your card to a folder on your drive then use the FCP X File menu command to Import ... Files to get them.  Still, I am working from vague memories of what the resolution was.  Check the discussions by searching the forum for 5D.  Best wishes.
