Hi
SAP Config mateials documents can be get by search in different saphelp sites and also can be find in other sites.
BBP is not a sharing documents.
Other relevent documents u need to search and get from various sites as per u r need.

hello,
Go to SPRO --> IMG --> Materials Management --> Inventory Management and Physical Inventory --> Plant Parameters.
Tick Create storage locations automatically. System will extend the material to the storage location maintained in the transaction.

Idoc views updation, Workflow, Performance tuning techniques!

Currently my client is facing following issues and they seek an help/attention to these issues. Following is the current landscape of an client.
Sector – Mining
SAP NW MDM 7.1 SP 09
SAP ECC EHP 5
SAP PI 7.0
List of Issues:
Classification (CLFMAS idoc) and Quality (MATQM idoc) views tries to update before MATMAS idoc updates and creates the material in ECC table.
At workflow level, how to assign incoming record approval request, put them in mask like functionality and approve them as bulk records.
Performance tuning techniques.
Issue description:
Classification (CLFMAS idoc) and Quality (MATQM idoc) views tries to update before MATMAS idoc updates and creates the material in a table.
Currently, client’s MATMAS idoc updates Basic data1 and Basic data2 along with other views and material gets updated in ECC table, but whenever record has classification and quality view to update via CLFMAS and MATQM idoc, these 2 idocs tries to search the material ECC table before respective MATMAS to update the table. As it does not have the basic data created for the material entire idoc fails. Kindly suggest the solution as in how we can align the process where classification and quality view will get update only after the basic data views gets updated to material master. Is there any way we can make views to be updated sequentially?
At workflow level, how to assign incoming record approval request, put them in mask like functionality and approve them as bulk records.
Currently, super users are configured within the system, they have 2 roles assigned to their ID’s, 1.custodian and 2.steward. In custodian role user assigns the MDM material number and check other relevant assignment to record creation request, user approves the material request and the request goes to steward role. As the 1 user has 2 roles, same user need not to checks everything again in steward role, hence user wants whatever request comes at steward user inbox, he shall be able to create one single group for those 20-30 records and on one single click entire materials shall be approved and disappear out of his workflow level. Is there any way by which it can be achieved.
Performance tuning techniques.
Currently, client MDM system response time is very very slow, after a single click of action it takes long time to reflect the action within MDM. Material database is almost around 2.5 lakh records, standard structure has been used, not a complex landscape structure. Both ECC and MDM server is on single hardware, only the logical separate DB. Kindly suggest performance techniques if any.

Kindly try the below options
-> Performance tuning techniques.
SAP Recommendation is to put the application ,server and Database in different Boxes . I am not sure how you managed to install both MDM and ECC in the same box but that is a big NO NO .
Make sure there is enough hardware support for a separate MDM box.
-> Classification (CLFMAS idoc) and Quality (MATQM idoc) views tries to update before MATMAS idoc updates and creates the material in a table.
MDM only sends out an XML file , so you definitely need a middle ware (PI) to do the conversion.
You can use PI logic ( ccBPM) to sent the IDOC is the necessary sequence .
Else you can maintain this logic in the Processing code of ECC system .
PS : The PI option is more recommended.

A        Adherence to Naming Standards
1     Are all the interface objects, mapping objects and directory objects named according to the naming convention?
2     Are all interface, data types and message type names as descriptive as possible?
3     Are proper description given wherever required?
4     Is the template for respective scenario followed?
B        Content Documentation
1     Are all the interfaces documented
2     Are all the data types and message types documented.
3     Is the BPM documented
4     Are the mapping objects documented.
5     Does the mapping program which is imported from external source has proper documentation?
6     Has the documentations been checked for erroneous spellings and grammar?
C.         System Landscape Directory
1     Is the product and software component created according to the specification given?
2     Are the business systems created according to the specification?
3     Are the technical systems created with proper server details as given in the specification?
4     If the sofwtare component has any dependencies, are they created according to the requirement?
5.     Is the software component assigned to the correct technical and business systems?
D        Integration Repository
1     Check if proper software component has been used
2     Check if proper namespace has been used
3     Check if the correct IDOCu2019s or RFCu2019s has been imported
4     Check if correct schemas are imported if the object has external schemas
5     Check if correct naming conventions has been followed for the repository objects
6     Check if the integartion scenario is designed according to the business specification
7     Check if the actions are created according to the requirement
8     Check if correct interfaces are used in the actions
9     Check if the communication channel templates are created using the adapters mentioned in the specification
10     Check if appropriate actions and correct communication channel templates are used while creating the connection
11     Check if the data type structure is created according to the requirement
12     Check if the message types are created with correct data types
13     Check if the interfaces are using correct message types and data types
14     Check if the direction and mode of the interfaces are in sync with the requirement
15     Check if proper source and target message types has been used in the message mapping
16     Check if the correct source and target interfaces are used in interface mapping
17     Check if proper mapping program is imported if the mapping type is XSLT
18     Check if the BPM design is according to the business requirement
19     Check if proper container elements has been created
20     Check if proper conditions has been given in switch step
21     Check if the correct key fields are used for correlation
22     Check if involved interfaces are according to the requirement in correlation

Hazardous Materials Management in SAP EHSM

We are considering the EHSM Component extension for managing Hazardous Material processes. According to the available documentation, EHSM risks assessment looks promising for this purpose. Specifically, we are interested in tracking information about hazard products and waste material inventoried at various company locations. The information includes chemical data , hazards and amounts. Some of the products and waste products may have material numbers and stored in ECC Plant and Storage locations( ie managed in MM)
Can we easily associate an ECC material number with an EHSM chemical or agent?
Can we easily pull reports of Chemical/Agent/ ECC Material Amounts by EHSM Location.
To what extent can we integrate EHSM Locations with MM Plants and Storage Locations/Inventory levels
Does BW provide content allowing us to merge chemical/agent/ ECC material/ ECC material inventory levels and goods movements on one report?

What type of industry is this? is this EU or USA client, because some standard reports are available for US in ehs.

2. I am not sure when you say, EHSM location, but yes if you are maintaining (any of these on ECC work area, plant, storage location).
3&4, i will try to get back on this.

Help me in design of data model for flat files

Hello guru's,
                    my client gave me excel spreadsheets and told to analyze what are the things i have to look into those. and also my manager introduced to one of the finace user . what are the questions i have to ask user regarding those files. the excel spreadsheets contains actual data, budget data and forecast data.
                    one more thing SAP FICO in ECC is in realization phase. my manger told me that you have to map all G/L accounts and Costcenters with R/3 because there excel spreadsheets have different format.
          send me what are all questions i have to ask user? there are no documnets also so can you please tell me what are all documents i have to prepare like func spec or tech spec?
