Field lengnth is more than 60.....

Hi Gurus,
there is one field VAKEY from KONP table which is having the length is 100, how we can create an info object in BW side?
BW will alllow max of 60 length, in this case how we can solve this issue,
if any routine is requires please provide me the step by step.

Grouping on fields that have more than one value entered. Please need help fast!!!

I am creating a report that is to be grouped on a particular field that can have more than one entry. My user said they did not care how I did it but to only count the record one time. The field that is selected is a dropdown on an form that is in Alpha order. So the entries always appear in the the field in alpha order. This is for use as an example: Record 1 has a value of CAT in the field, Record 2 has a value of CAT, DOG in the field and Record 3 has a value of CAT, DOG, HORSE in the field. I get 3 separate groupings for the 3 records.
Group = CAT
      Then the detail information appears here
Group = CAT, DOG
      Then the detail information appears here
Group = CAT,DOG,HORSE
      Then the detail information appears here
What is would like to see using this example is one group for CAT with all 3 records appearing under it and ignore the other two. This way there would all be getting counted but the report would look a little more streamlined.
Group = CAT
      record 1 detail information
      record 2 detail information
      record 3 detail information

I am trying resolve the same/similar issue in Crystal Reports 10. For example, on a table there is a column called X with values Xsub1, Xsub2, Xsub3, etc. The user can select a parameter that includes Xsub2 and Xsub4. If this is selected 2 reports are generated (one for Xsub2 and Xsub4). What we really want is one report with the combined information for Xsub2 and Xsub4. How is (or is it) possible to do this in Crystal Reports 10? FYI - When the report was initially created the main body of the report was placed in the Group Footer so if the Group Footer is suppressed the content of the report is suppressed, too.

Per my understanding, the NewForm.aspx is not editable when there are more than 60 or 65 columns in the list.
Is there any warning or error message when editing the NewForm.aspx page in SharePoint 2010(screenshot would be better)?
I tried creating a list contains more than 60 columns, then edit the corresponding NewForm.aspx in SharePoint Designer 2010, it works as expected.
I suggest you create another list and make the test again to see if it is an issue of this list.

Need to insert into a table 1 of the fields (CLOB)with more than 4000 chars

How to allow input text field to accept more than one "specific" answer.

I am working for something and trying to create a type-box-based quiz for one of my classes, where an input text field can change it's border color if 2 or more words from an accepted word list is inputed.
For example, Say a list has possible answers: R,G, B, Y for the question "Name 2 colors".
I want to create an input text box where the border of the box will change color if any 2 letters (in the above list) are entered into it.
I've tried setting up a variable NumberSuccesses and setting it so that the number increases by 1 for each letter entered e.g.
if (Ex.text == "R");
NumSuc = NumSuc +1; // the var NumSuc has already been defined earlier in the code
If (Ex.text ''G")
NumSuc = NumSuc + 1
if (NumSuc == 2)
Ex.borderColor = 0x0000FF
but that didn't work.. and I tried doing it with another function which I use for multiple input boxes like if there were boxes A, B, C. I could set up a general function where if the correct answers were entered into A, B, an C respectively, only then will say, a checkmark show up using a
EnableCheckmark (); type function. Not sure how to do it if it's the same text input box though. Also just tried adding it into the same function re.

Smartform - Field not outputting more than 255 characters in a loop - Help!

I have the following problem with my Smartform:
I am looping from a table and into a structure (Loop function).
1 of those fields is 1000 characters long and will be filled usually at 500 characters inside.
However, when looping and outputting the field (text node) in the format &Tablename-Fieldname&, only up to 255 characters are output.
To give you a better idea - I have a Loop Node and there, I am looping from a table (type table of) into a header
(type).
Using LCHR does not help.
Why does this happen? How can I fix this? Are any symbols available in Smartforms, like they are in SAPscript?
Any possible solutions will help.
Please help this is very important and very urgent.

if you want to output a long string in a smartform putting it as &name& in a text will not help you. For printing such an information you use temp include texts you create an delete on the fly while processing the SF.
To Do so:
- define GV_SUFFIX type char2, GS_HEAD a structure with fields TDOBJECT type TDOBJECT, TDNAME type TDOBNAME, TDID type TDID, TDSPRAS type SPRAS
- define a code step importing the text, the language and the GV_SUFFIX, in the coding , you convert the string to itf and than use function module SAVE_TEXT to save the include text and put the information into GS_HEAD
- define an include text where you put out the newly created include text
- define a code step to delete the temporary text with function module DELETE_TEXT

Smartform - Field not outputting more than 255 characters in a loop

Hi,
I have the following problem with my Smartform:
I am looping from a table and into a structure (Loop function).
1 of those fields is 1000 characters long and will be filled usually at 500 characters inside.
However, when looping and outputting the field (text node) in the format &Tablename-Fieldname&, only up to 255 characters are output.
Why does this happen? How can I fix this? Are any symbols available in Smartforms, like they are in SAPscript?

Mapping for field which appear more than once.

My source and target structure is:

Field3 may appear a few times in the source message.
For example:

I need to pass to the target structure the "Field3" who's "Child1" is greater than 5 and "Child2" is greater than 10 and "Child3" is greater than 15.
My problem is that the condition is executed only once for the first "Field3",
and if the check returns
"True" all the "Field3" are copied.
if "False" is returns no one of the "Field3" is passed.
How should i hold the context for it, in order each of the "Field3" elements passes the condition?

Field Options on more than one clip?

Im making a video and it now has 100's of seprate clips in it. Some have been set to deinterlace and some havnt. I hear its better to deinterlace with a plugin. Is there a way to select all my clips and get into field options to turn off all deinterlacing at once?

whats teh best solution without having to go though all my clips individualy?

Don't know... I've never tried it, but I have no reason to think it would be appreciably better than anything else I've seen Premiere do. Likely, what's happening is that you are (is essence) "chopping" the vertical resolution from 1080 -> 540, then scaling it back up to 720. Since Premiere is using a fairly soft scaling method (single-tap Gaussian resizing, I think??) this is probably hiding much of the artifacting that is occurring.
Ann -- since you are already familiar with my processes and you know how to use DebugMode FrameServer and you have my hd2sd() pacakge, try an AviSynth script like this to pre-process your 1080i timeline for 720p output:
(frameserve from Premiere in YUY2 colorspace)

Of course, there are many other options for how to handle all of this, but this a good place to start.

How to display a field that has more than 136 char length in ALV GRID

Hi Experts,
I have an issue and need to solve ASAP.
I want to display a text of length 400 character in a particular column in ALV GRID DISPLAY. After executing the report it is displaying only 136 length char in the output and when I download the report to an excel it is showing only 255 characters, but my field length is almost 400 char and want to display in the report output.
I checked in SDN and didnt get any answers which will solve this.
Please help me to complete this issue.

Currently I'm in a same problem with you.
And this is what I found
Size of data fields: While the list-based ALVList can display only tables of up to 90 columns, the control-based *ALVGrid and ALVFullscreen have a limitation of 128 characters per data cell.*
So it means that maximum for alv grid is only 128.

DME - Reference field for document more than 1

I am having requirement wher i need to extract the data of material long text by using the FM.
i am planning to create the Gen Datasource with FM, for this i have choosen the field TEXT whose length is 255 char from the table AQGTQ to define in the structure of the FM in R3 side.
In Bw i am creating the 4 info objects which can hold this long description of the material and in the Transfer Rules i am writting the Routine for all 4 infobjects by keep on adding the 60 char.
but pls let me know how it is going to identify that to which material this long text belongs to do i need to keep the matnr as additional info object in the ods n do mapping with the matnr which is passing as the input to the FM and getting this long text.
